The shop itself is a newsagents and offers a very wide selection of confectionary, magazines, newspapers and stationary. However they also run a fantastic daily newspaper delivery service to the surrounding villages. We have received a daily paper from them for over 20 years. They are also friendly shopkeepers, and always welcoming when entering the shop. All in all a highly recommended service to anyone new coming into the area who wants a reliable paper delivery service.

The shop is great for a massive discount but not really for searching for a most wanted book. Also available at 'The Works' are celebrity calenders, postcards, posters and for some reason lots of books about Steam Railways?! The shop often is very disorganised, with some items not really displayed but merely plonked down in their original packaging with the top ripped open. However, the shop is good for childrens books, big floppy paperbacks that kids love. It does seem quite a kids orientated shop actually, running all over the place whenever I've passed. The best thing about the shop is its location. The shop is situated right in the heart of the town centre, literally probably the most central shop in the town. A good shop for Christmas when you dont know what to buy for presents!

I was surprised and impressed when last weekend I used one of the vouchers on some childrens books which were already on the offer of buy one get one half price. They came to £12 and I asked about the voucher and the woman informed me that was not a problem so I got a further £5 off the total, thus only paying for one and a half books and getting 4! The staff are friendly and helpful. The store sells books and magazines at the front of the store, further back childrens books and stationery as well as music and dvds.

The shop is always full of interesting nik-nics from bygones past and bits and bobs from peoples wardrobes. We have often wandered in and picked up a real bargain. This particular store is good because of the fairly affluent area of North Oxfordshire. This is always guaranteed to bring in some good bargains. The staff involved with the shop are always lovely, pleasant and welcoming, and give a real safe, family feeling to the shop. The shop is especcially good at this time of year for Christmas cards and wrapping paper. Everything is sold at good value and with Oxfam, obviously a good cause. Highly recommended for a visit.

There is a massive range of fair trade goods and lots of brand new gifty things to interest - a great place to browse for a couple of hours to find some hidden bargains. Everything is of a really good quality and the staff are very pleasant and give you room to browse at your leisure around the shop. As always there are volunteer opportunities in the shop that anyone with a little bit of spare time can take up.

They have a great range of toys and have the biggest selection of Lego in Banbury, always been my favourite! The upstairs section is dedicated to models and stocks amongst other things Hornby and Scalextric, another of my favourites! The staff in both departments are very helpful and the only thing that lets the store down sometimes is that they just cannot compete with the likes of Argos and Woolies when they do their sales. Still worth a look and there are plenty for the kids to choose from.

They also have a really good Christian music section which has often introduced me to new artists that I hadn't previously heard of. The shop itself is on Winchcombe street not far from where the old Odeon used to be and it has a really nice peacful feel to it when you enter from a hectic Cheltenham. The staff are always friendly and efficient so there isn't really anything bad to say about the shop. I would highly recommend any Christian in Cheltenham to pay it a visit.
