Matthew with a mild tamale
Alyssa G.

Comfy little spot that's been here for years, and what seemed liked the owner was very sweet. We are used to Texan/Mexican tamales and these were a little different but enjoyable and very good! Food was so hot we had to wait but no one is complaining about hot food! I will definitely get them again when I'm back in Corinth. There's a drive thru and a walk up but no seating. A dozen of tamales was only 5.50 and they have drinks like sweet tea, water and soda. Definitely great prices for what you get.

Greatest, I've had these for years and there is nothing like them. I live 700 miles away now but have every home visitor bring me these!!!

Awesome tamales and the friendliest people working there. My only regret is that I only bought one dozen.

Nice staff. Tamales are not as good as they used to be when I lived here. It's just a staple food in the area.

Really good tamales and priced just right. Definitely worth a downtown visit, when you are shopping in the SoCo.

Went back the next day to get a dozen more for the cooler so I'd have something for the rest of the road trip.

So I have learnt not to go later. This time it was very good. I'm very happy to say, I was very nervous to try them again after last time. But they have done wonderful job on this food.

During that time Mi…read moreToro has gained a lot of competition but remains, in my opinion, the best and most consistent in the area. Mi Toro is hugely popular with locals as you will see by the cars in the parking lot on an average night. Food can sometimes vary but usually is very good and very reasonably priced which is why people keep coming back. Don't hesitate if something doesn't suit you to tell your waiter, they'll make it right promptly in my experience. On Tuesday and Thursday nights, they feature what I think are the best Margaritas in town at half price. Their small Margarita now at $3.99 is still a bargain and a perfect accompaniment to the food. Avoid larger sizes, multiples or pitchers unless you are sharing as a group or a designated driver. The top shelf fajitas feature skirt steak and the generous quantity make a good entree to share with two people. Quite unexpected on a Mexican menu and somewhat unusual, the hamburgers are very good and the fries are delicious. The restaurant has been remodeled and is upscale in its surroundings. Be sure to note the artwork and blown glassware lamps and fixtures.
