Cajun? More like Caucasian. No spice. No seasoning. Would not recommend. No where close to anything in New Orleans I've ever had.

Unfortunately for around here it is the best Cajun you will get. NOTHING like a true Cajun restaurant. They do try and it is ok just not on the mark. We had the gumbo, etouffee, fried oysters, grilled shrimp. All were excellent, fresh and perfectly prepared. The best oysters I've had in a long while. The hushpuppies were crisp and full of flavor. We will return again and again. The atmosphere is Southern kitsch at it's finest. The holiday lights that cover the ceilings are a year-round delight. The owners, staff (& best buddy, Mitch) were the friendliest and finest folk you can meet. Even the iced tea was Southern perfection served in giant glasses with lots of lemon. My first visit here was with a small group of family members. The waiter was funny, polite and knowledgable. We are finicky when it comes to our hushpuppies;we ask him if we can have one to sample before we order. He didn't hesitate to get us a sample and we are glad he did. They were not to our taste. Unanimously decided, they were hideous, dry and bland. We ordered a variety of foods to get a good sense of what this place was all about. Everyone was pleased and left fulfilled. I went back recently. I ordered grilled shrimp, fries and gave the hushpuppies a second chance. You've struck a nerve when you question the waitress on the appearance of your food and management appears at your table unannounced and uninvited. My shrimp were small, butterflied, floating in about 1/4" of water and were white in color. I told the waitress I ordered grilled shrimp. She said they are. I gave her my "not amused at all!" look and said OK. Within seconds, a woman, a perfect stranger to me, walks to my side, not introducing herself, begins telling me that the shrimp are grilled. Well, I am not one to back down over questionable food. I told her they were baked or even boiled (because of the water they were swimming in). She said they were stirred around on a flat iron. I say well that is more fried. She counters with no, fried is dropped in oil. To which, I counter with, NO, that is deep fried. I feel the heat emanating from my husband's face at this point. She asks what I think grilled means. I reply with, a quick marinade, skewered whole, grilled over a flame or charcoal, served intact and colorful. She asks if I wanted something else. I ordered a chicken dish, to end the ordeal. The chicken was ok, but saturated in Old Bay Seasoning. The fries were sprinkled with Old Bay. The boiled corn...Old Bay. I won't be going back, mainly because my husband doesn't like seafood and wasn't bowled over by his sandwich, but also because I can probably get my shrimp fix elsewhere with less hassle. The Shrimp Boat, named after the owner's daughter, has been a fixture on Shiloh Road in Corinth for several years now, next to the bowling alley. The décor has always been very rustic, located in a building which was the local Dairy Queen for almost half a century. Don't miss the new addition in the back which features some gorgeous matched wood paneling milled locally, also very rustic. This is the place in Corinth to locate fried seafood of the deep sea variety like shrimp, oysters and the like, in addition to local catfish which is also called seafood or just "fish" by locals. Salads are good, hush puppies, french fries, slaw, the fried seafood is also very good. You can't go wrong if you stick with the standards. The gumbo can vary but usually I don't care for it as it is usually as thick as gravy and the owner doesn't like okra so you won't find it in the gumbo here. It is well prepared and you may find it to your taste but don't make it a meal of it without asking for a sample or ordering a cup before you go overboard. The same applies to grilling or other variations, deep fat frying is their specialty and usually the french fries are very good as well. read more

So glad to discover this place! We were seated immediately and the food came within minutes. We had the boiled shrimp and fried oysters, both were excellent! Their sauces were delicious too! Steps to a 5 star review would be: Serve a larger portion of shrimp, I feel like there weren't enough for the price paid. Boil the corn and potatoes along with the shrimp so that they're not bland and sprinkle a dash of seasoning on them. I'd also suggest that they add boiled crawfish, raw oysters and beer to their menu. Lastly, it was really crowded, they need a patio. Whoa... feels like we were eating down the Bayou. The smell said the seafood was fresh, the waitress was very accommodating. My wife had the boiled shrimp that was prepared just right and the waitress brought her a fresh lemon and bowl of water to clean her hands at the end. One recommendation that I do have is for them to offer a fried gator smothered in Étouffée.... their étouffée is ON TIME BABY!!!! Throw that étouffée on some of the freshly fried gator bites and I'm ready for a nap... great little hidden gem. read more

So the first time I had eaten here I was really hesitant because of the appearance of the outside of the restaurant, but once I sat down and tried the food I was sold! The food was really good and our waitress was amazing! She was so funny and so polite that she alone would be enough to eat there again. The food was a bit pricy considering the portions but it was still good. I believe the restaurant would get a whole lot more business if they cleaned up and redid the outside of the restaurant. Fried craw-fish not as impressive. While the menu appeared to contain a variety of ways to prepare Southern Seafood, there wasn't any flexibility to obtaining special requests (i.e. no ability to prepare blackened Catfish with Craw-fish Estuffe.)
