Been going to this salon for years! They added a little update to the Salon. Flower bed wall with the sign and a comfy sofa, Why not take a picture after your stylist made you look gorgeous again. I had my cut done by Phoebe, and highlights by Lili and I love how intricate and precise they are with my hair especially having thicker and super long hair. I've also got my hair cut by Lynn and she's great as well. They definitely take their time and listen to what length/color and style you want to achieve. (A little suggestion for people who go to salon, don't expect to look exactly like the photo you show to your stylist, consider texture, length, fullness and color are very different from everyone else) Located off the free way on 880, in San Leandro In a small plaza with easy parking. Also while you're waiting they have a really good deli store you can grab a bite at. My sis had tried to get me to go to her salon for ages, but I guess I was too stuck up to try it. HAHA...I keep it real. I was accustomed to going to expensive salons, like the salon at the Claremont and Gina Khan (Yosh for Hair) at Union Square. I paid a pretty penny for cuts there, but since my stylists from Gina Khan left for greener pastures and had varied results from Andrew at Claremont, why not give Dimension a try? What do I have to lose? I've had horrible cuts before, from 6 inches chopped off to hair getting lopped off unevenly. Lynn, Phoebe, and Lily are styling sisters. Yup, they're related by blood. They're all super friendly. Lily styles my hair every time. My sis suggested her since she's the younger of the sisters so she should be in tune with my style. She was right. I have no one to blame but myself for being so stubborn. I pretty much love my cut every time. The shampoo, cut, and style (with flat iron) altogether cost $45. I religiously have my hair trimmed every 2 months with Lily. I trust her entirely with my locks. Usually, she knows what I want without too much direction. We're in sync like that. =P Lynn fixed my hair for a wedding last year. (Lynn is the only one who does formal 'dos.) I described how I wanted the hair (a big head of curly tendrils), and she made it happen. She patiently made sure that each curl was in place. I've received many compliments that night. (see photos link) I think a non-issue for me is how they are all unreachable by phone because they don't have a receptionist. My sis would physically drive there to make an appointment, whereas for me it's a lot more routine since I would make my next appointment after I finish one...because it's something I usually look forward to. read more

I've called on several occasions to make an appointment and I finally got in!! I think it's hard for the stylists to pick up the phone because they're busy with clients. Just leave a message! Phoebe cut my husband's hair this past Saturday and he loves it. It's not just a typical fade, there really seemed to be some "dimension" to the style! Pun intended. Today I got a trim also by Phoebe. She wasn't able to do the style I wanted because my hair is too short, but she gave me a nice new do' that will hopefully grow into the style I want. Service is good, prices are decent. It was $30 for my hubby and $45 for me. It comes with shampoo, cut and style. I'm happy to say, both hubby and I left here looking fabulous! read more

Lily is awesome! She does wonders to your hair! When you try to copy how she makes your hair look at home, it doesn't last as long! I my hair looked the same two days after the appointment (without washing my hair)! When you leave the salon, your hair has so much shape, bounce, volume, and softness. It looks and feels like the ideal hair that you have always wanted! On you first appointment, she guides you on everything that she is doing. She tells you what each product does. And even if she doesnt, if you ask, she'll be happy to tell you :) And when you're almost done she asks you if you want to tease your hair! She's really considerate and really easy to talk to. I've always seen this place while driving by since I live within 3/4's of a mile from this strip. Out of curiosity (and wanting to support businesses in my neighborhood), I walked in one day because I need to get a haircut before my friend's wedding reception. They were pretty much booked for the next hour, so they took down my name for later in the afternoon. I come back at the time of my afternoon appointment and they were ready to go within 5-7 minutes of me arriving (which is normal for any salon to be ready to go since it's tricky to be ON the dot, let alone early). I had my hair washed and got my haircut from Lynn. I just wanted my hair to have the cuts cleaned up and still enough length to give it the messy look without being too long. The haircut came out okay. Pretty standard men's haircut without causing my cow lick to stick up like a bad bunch of weeds. I was a little thrown off when it came down to paying for it. The haircut wasn't anything impressive for how much I paid (I'm sure it's at least twice the amount that a normal guy would pay for a haircut). So I was a little disappointed and I still had to wash off loose cut hair afterwards (When I paid this much for a cut, I got my hair washed before AND after). Lynn was very nice and I had a good conversation with her, so there's absolutely no complaints with attitude or most of the service. I pretty much took one for the team. This review is for the guys, go elsewhere for a haircut. Lesson learned. If I want a really impressive style-changing haircut, I'm sure I'd have to pay around the neighborhood of $40-50 at a fancier, trendier salon somewhere in SF. If I wanted a somewhat standard haircut, maybe I should go back to the cheaper spots since I have very few accomidations and I'm not asking to create a masterpiece with my hair. I just want something slick, clean, with nice edges with a bit of flare. I was sorta hoping not being too specific would give the stylist the green light to try something a little more interesting with how long my hair grew out. I suppose that IS asking too much. Let me tell you about this place..it's run by three beautiful sisters and they're all stylists!!! I came in with a good intention that this place was going to be great after reading all of the great reviews and I have to agree with everyone else. It's hard looking for a hair stylists who really listens to what you want and how you want it done. I was in need of a haircut and decided to make an appointment with Lily. Lily was the first to greet me along with Stephanie and Phoebe. I told Lily my hair has gotten pretty thin the past year or so and it lacked volume; she asked me what I wanted and suggested a few tips. I decided on getting layers along with honey-brown highlights. What I liked the most was how she swatched a small sample at the bottom of my strands to see if I liked the colour before proceeding. I left the shop with great highlights, lots of volume and silky hair. Lily did such a wonderful job and the overall outcome was worth every penny!! It's been about two weeks since I've been there and I'm still getting compliments on my hair. I have long very thick curly hair and I love that when I leave her salon I always feel like I have styling options. Its hard to do anything with really curly thick hair other than take a flat iron to it but she gives it enough shape on its own....priceless! Lilly takes her time and really listens to you. The haircut was about $40 for a wash, style, cut and flat iron. I didn't have any issue with the price for me but thought it was a tad bit high to pay for my 9 year old. Looking for a much needed make over with my hair, I yelped for suggestions and found Dimension Salon. After looking through the posted pics (thank you to those that did!) I picked 2 styles I liked and called to make my appointment. When I arrived it was a short wait which was more than fine as I was soaking in the place and diggin' the vibe. Once I got into the chair it was time to share what I was kind of going for and really expressed that I was leaning to Lynn for recommendations. We agreed on a cut that was somewhat in between the 2 I brought and away we went. Lynn REALLY knows what she's doin' and is very knowledgeable in what she's doing and recommending. I enjoyed the conversation and realized I was done in no time. When she swung the chair toward the mirror I was amazed! My hair looked exactly how I pictured it in my mind and totally unique to my face. I'm gonna try reviewing things immediately, instead of through my iPhone with the intention of actually doing a review. I think I've finally found a place that knows how to cut my hair! You'd think that most places can give me a decent cut since my hair isn't complex, but too many spots wind up cutting it too shorn and making my face look like an acorn. Phoebe wound up cutting my hair here, and while it took longer than I expected, she did a fantastic job! She totally got the style I was looking for and even gave me some tips on maintaining it. I was a bit hesitant to get my hair cut here b/c I was so used to the $20 hair cut, but I've been going here for a couple of years and I love it! I always come out feeling so pampered and fresh. My stylist Lynn is so helpful and will answer whatever questions I have about styling my hair. I haven't tried their other services but Lynn would be the person I would trust. I recently attended a fundraiser and got my hair done right before and she styled my hair for me and took the time to explain it to me so I could do it on myself. Not only did I have a great time, but got a lot of compliments on my hair. I've recommended this place to my family and a couple of members who still go here. I've been going to Dimensions Salon for a couple years now and Lilly is great! I have very fine/thin hair with no volume and she does a wonderful job cutting it short. Because of Lilly I've been very brave about going shorter everytime! And even though I can never style it as well as she does, the cut still looks great... even when I'm a few months past due. Everyone at the salon is very nice and although I've only had Lilly cut my hair, their customers leave looking great and are always smiling! Plus the salon it self is nice and clean and even though they have a bunch of products they don't try to push you into buying them. I've heard about this place through my family and friends but I never had a chance to go. My last hair stylist started to get on my nerves and would not cut my hair the way I wanted so I went off to look for another salon and I came across Dimensions. I called late Friday evening and I was lucky enough that somebody cancelled their appointment on Saturday morning so I went in and had an appointment with Phoebe. First, she asked me what I wanted so I showed her 2-3 pictures. Then she gave me feedback about what she could do to make my hair look like what I wanted. Once we were on the same page about the style I wanted which was an a-line haircut, she shampooed my hair and got started. I could tell when she was cutting my hair how precise she was by the way she would part the sections of my hair to make sure that everything was even. Once I saw the finished haircut I was AMAZED!!! She was so professional and I was so satisfied with my haircut! It was a little pricey for a haircut but it was well worth it and I would spend this money on Phoebe again! I love that this place is completely tucked away in a dingy little strip mall across from the dollar store. My favorite stylist knows how to make my hair look so much better than I do, and I always walk out feeling energized with a new -do. I've been receiving compliments on my new hairdo everywhere, so I decided to create this yelp account to praise Wing's work! I first met him at Focus in Milpitas. My friend had an appointment there and I tagged along. Waiting for my friend, I spotted a very focused stylist, Wing. FYI: I do not take risk when it comes to my hair. Therefore I usually get my haircuts in Hong Kong, once a year. However, after seeing his work, I decided to give it a try. His work is very comparable to HK. I give him an image & length and work is done. I did go to other recommended stylist from friends after, but I am done with mess ups! From now on either Wing or I'm flying to Hong Kong. read more

Just had an excellent European facial from Lily and she is a genius. My skin looks much better now. I've certainly paid more at more prominent spas and been given far less. She was gentle, thorough, quiet and kind. All things you want when someone is touching your face. She adjusted the facial to address my concerns and I am happy with the results.
