I'll be as kind and fair as possible, because I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews. My wife came in asking for something very simple: a trim and a little layering. Instead, she came home crying. Her hair was cut far shorter than what she asked for. Considering hair grows roughly half an inch per month on average, it could take well over a year for her to regain the length she lost. What was supposed to be a simple haircut has now turned into something we have to spend more time and money trying to fix. As I'm writing this review, we are literally searching for an emergency hair-extension salon because we have an important trip coming up. I actually wasn't planning on writing a review tonight. Here's my long over due review that I have been meaning to write. Jessie is really flexible in scheduling me an appointment. I wanted to get a Balayage done. During my appointment, she was professional and kind and offer me some for homemade walnuts and almonds that she toasted that morning of. She took her time cutting my hair and dying and asking me. I was able to get an appointment the next day after I called because I walked out of my previous salon. There was one lady there, most likely the owner. She was ready for me as soon as I arrived and I was her first appointment. She was really nice and went over the pricing with me before she started, which I appreciated. I wanted to raise my highlights, but she said I didn't need to since it hasn't grown out much, so I agreed. After I thought about it, I should have since now it is really grown out. I went from blonde balayage to dark and kept some of my blonde streaks from before. In the beginning of the service, she started talking a lot about Christianity until I hinted that it wasn't my thing so she stopped. Another client came in and she worked on her head, but I was done pretty quick. It was a 3 hour service at most. She was nice, price was reasonable and I liked my hair. I called 30 minutes prior to getting the appointment & am happy to report that no one other than Jessie, owner & hair stylist & myself were at the salon. Jessie makes sure that Covid safety protocols are practiced. With the hair wash & detailed cut, I spent a good 45 minutes there. Although she took her time, i only wished the cut wasn't as short, but I'm glad it is even. For 2-3 inch cut it was $30, so the prices are comparable to what others charge. Never again. My 2nd coming, the 1st time I'd say was like a 3 star service. First time: - Had to wait 30 mins - Did not wash my hair, had to request it (even though I said needed it when making the appointment originally) - Haircut was good Second time: - Had an appointment at 2pm, asked if I could come in earlier and owner said to come at 1:30pm - I come on time at 1:30pm, owner says I need to "wait a little bit" - I did not get seated in the chair until 2pm - I asked for layers and wispy fringe bangs, and to only cut 1.5 inches off. Even showed a reference picture. - She cut about 3 inches off and it's not even layered how I showed in the pic. She made my top half of my hair too heavy and the layers don't even blend in.... - Did not wash and shampoo my hair, just sprayed my hair with water and styled... I had asked for shampoo and wash when making the original appointment. Made me feel like she was cutting corners because she was running late. - I feel like she knew she didn't do a good job because I saw her charging me and changing the price from $35 to $30. Lesson learnt, never cheat on your regular salon. You pay for what you get. read more

The hairstylist put color in my hair. She left me without setting a timer. Then she proceeded to take care of 2 other customers while I sat there. My hair overprocessed badly. The biggest thing was that she brought up politics from the start. She liked the Orange One, and when she found out we were not going to vote for him, she proceeded to lecture us about how wrong we were. We tried to change the subject and did not argue with her. Toward the end, she pivoted to vaccines and how bad they were. I went to pay, and she tried to give both us (boyfriend) religious pamphlets on how vaccines are bad. We refused the pamphlets politely, but she pushed another pamphlet into my hand with my receipt. It was the most miserable time I had in a salon. A 2 hour commercial for Donald Trump and overprocessed hair for around $200. Not going back. read more

Jessie is super sweet and good natured but yesterday I had a difficult day and left the salon after almost 4 hours completely upset and distraught with my hair . I came in wanting an ashy blonde and showed her the pictures and examples . I stressed that I was going for ASHY tones and to get out all the orange and yellow and brassiness . This was my first time going to glory salon for a haircut. My stylist never introduced herself. So there's that. She did a very quick consultation. I told her what I wanted. A v cut face framing layers with medium to long layers throughout the back. She gave me a quick cut 15 minutes max. She hardly set scissors to the back layers. The layers in front were uneven and not blended to which I pointed out to her. She went back in and adjusted the layers and they're still uneven. She asked me how I wanted my hair styled straight or wavy. I said wavy she gave me a half-ass blowout. Needless to say I am not happy. 1) Her Personality/Hospitality Jessie was such a sweet woman. The way she pays attention to detail and the way she makes you feel like you're apart of the process was the most reassuring thing she could do when you're going through such a drastic change in your hair. She was very open to suggestions while also offering her own expertise-- making sure that she's able to deliver to what you're asking for. As much as you're eager to have your hair absolutely perfect, she shares the exact same enthusiasm. Throughout, she was constantly asking if I wanted anything to drink or eat since it is quite a tedious process. She made sure I felt comfortable the whole time. She was so easy to talk to and I could tell that she really cared about my hair, the look I wanted to achieve, and most of all-- about me. 2) The Process I called her in the afternoon on Tuesday and she was more than happy to take me in. As soon as I got there she was making sure I was comfortable and talking to me and listening to my preferences and was very happy to look at any reference photos and talk it through before any color came out. She made sure that before anything touched my hair, that we were both on the same page. She did my hair and without having much knowledge myself, I chose a toner that was a little too dark and my hair ended out coming darker than I was wanting to go for. Since it was late, she suggested that I come back on the weekend so that way she could fix the tone and give me exactly what I wanted. I went in earlier today and she was so excited to get to work on my hair. We collaborated on what things could look better and we carefully picked a color that we thought could elevate the balayage. Towards the end, I was shocked at the results. I couldn't even believe it was my OWN hair! I was so incredibly happy with how it turned out, I couldn't stop smiling. She told me that is exactly how she wants everyone of her clients to walk out of her salon, no matter what it takes. If there is something that she could do better, she will gladly work with you to get to the place you want to be. 3) My Honest Opinion I would recommend Jessie based off of these two interactions alone. She was so incredibly sweet and I can tell through her work how passionate she is at doing hair. She made me feel so beautiful. And a lot of salons would have stopped at the first encounter and said that it would cost extra to do this or that or would have gotten an attitude, but not Jessie. She was so open and so determined to give me exactly what I wanted. And she went above and beyond. Not only is she ridiculously affordable, but she is so so so talented. I had a horrible balayage years back and was hesitant about doing it again, but this experience makes me want to stick with her for years to come. Made a color and cut appt on a Saturday with ease. Waited a bit as Jessie finished with another client. She is the owner and the only stylist. She started on my hair by cutting off a couple inches before starting the color process. Jessie started putting in foil on the lower part of my hair, and then had to wash another customer that was coloring her hair. She came back 15 mins later, I was fine with it but worried that part of my hair would be over processed. Throughout the process, Jessie juggled 3 customers. I gave her the benefit of doubt. She finished off with a cut, wash and dry. I asked for long layers, there were no layers. I asked for a certain length, it was shorter. There was no root melt so my hair doesn't even look transition at all. There are 3 separate colors that clash. The top part of my head was still so dark vs the bottom was way lighter from my previous color. I didn't want to leave this review, but the more I look at my hair the more it bothered me. I even showed her a photo that she posted as what I wanted! Never coming here again!! Sigh. Now I have to spend another three hundred or more to get this fixed. read more

I got a haircut with the owner of this salon and my layers turned out looking choppy and uneven. It's something I've always feared when getting a haircut and it ended up happening. I'm so disappointed and no longer like my hair. I can't even look at it cause you can just right away notice it. Jessie scheduled me for a haircut appointment for today, 1/16/2021, Saturday, at 11:00. This schedule was made two weeks in advance. When I arrived at the shop she was not there and the salon was closed. I called her, identified myself and reminded her of my appointment. She said that I don't have an appointment with her. I said, "What are you talking about? You were the one who scheduled the date and time for me?" Instead of apologizing, she said, "I guess I forgot to record it on my schedule book." Just like that. No apologies. No attempt to redeem herself, or make things right. Right there it was clear to me that this woman is very unprofessional.
