My hip replacement required much pre & post effort from their team and me. I was respectfully and clearly kept informed, had all my many questions answered and got results as expected. No sugar coating nor scary predictions, only realistic descriptions that came true because they did their best, and I tried to be the best patient I could. Now there's no pain, mobility is getting better each day and I'm so pleased I did this with the Jefferson Healthcare team! Notably, their Docs noticed an abnormality in my health history while I was there and brought it to my attention after having researched the past 15-20 years of my charts to see what the issue might be. At my discharge meeting I was told about their discovery and recommended to a specialist for further investigation. Now I'm in the process of following his recommendations to diagnose this issue. Never once did my primary Doc, or their clinic ever even mention nor show concern for the same issue my Jefferson team saw & researched that day! FYI: in the early Covid years I also had an emergency appendectomy there for a badly burst appendix, and came home in great shape. The nurses & Docs there are exceptional! I've only had positive interactions with every staff person there, including the chef who makes hospital food amazingly enjoyable! Jefferson Healthcare is my local hospital of choice, for sure.

The reason for my visit was to obtain referrals to see a specialist for my fibromyalgia, which was diagnosed last year by a rheumatologist in Mt. Vernon. During my first visit, it seemed like Dr. Erickson didn't listen to any of the symptoms I was reporting and was not convinced that I actually had fibromyalgia, even though I had a document from Dr. Welk, the rheumatologist, stating that I do. Dr. Erickson seemed convinced that my only real issue was depression, and he was very quick to prescribe anti-depressants, almost as if it was candy that would shut me up and send me on my way. I had informed the doctor that I don't respond well to anti-depressants, as I've tried various types before in the past. He insisted that I just hadn't found the right one yet though. After debating with him for quite some time, I finally just gave in. I left feeling incredibly disappointed as I was really hoping to obtain a referral to see a specialist who might actually be able to provide me with some form of relief or perhaps even point in the right direction to heal myself. The entire visit felt more like I was being interrogated rather than treated. I got the impression that Dr. Erickson might suspect that I was just making up my condition in hopes of getting free disability, but fibromyalgia doesn't qualify for disability anyway. Upon my 2nd visit, 3 weeks later, I was in much worse shape. Just as I had predicted, the side-effects from the anti-depressants made my life much more difficult, while the drug did absolutely nothing to help with my fibromyalgia or my depression, which is caused by the fibromyalgia. This time I was a lot less polite, as I was in a fair amount of discomfort and having trouble focusing my thoughts under the influence of the drug. To make matters worse, the doctor was almost an hour late to my appointment. I was sitting in the treatment room for well over 45 minutes before he finally joined me. When he arrived, he was only interested in hearing about how I was doing with the prescribed meds. After hearing my complaints, once again, he was very quick to write up another prescription for a different drug. He was very reluctant to give me any referrals to see specialists or get further lab work done. He did finally give me a referral to see a rheumatologist in Poulsbo, but the earliest opening isn't until 3 months away.

Their RN (I think her name is Connie) was knowledgeable, caring and efficient. Their on-call Xray tech, Michael, came in quickly and was a joy to work with. My PA, James Blair, was efficient, kind and carefully reviewed my Xrays. I understand why he didn't do much of an exam - I was in serious pain and it was clear I needed Xrays - but a quick check of sensation would have been nice. I assume the numbness in my thumb & heal will go away when the swelling goes down but it would have been nice to hear that from him. I almost missed the good care above because I considered leaving after watching their receptionist, who was inconsistent, for 40 minutes. She seemed to get flustered easily, then rather curt with patients and I was worried the rest of the staff would be the same. She also could not keep track of who was next very well and moved 2 patients (also brand new to the clinic) ahead of me even though I completed my paperwork well ahead of them. I decided to stay when I saw the receptionist go out of her way to check & confirm a woman's insurance then send her elsewhere which may have saved the woman $2000 - impressive. I won't hesitate to go back if I need urgent care again.

Worst.Doctor.EVER!!…read more Brought my daughter here after she spent a week in bed unable to bend to put on her own socks or shoes due to extreme lumbar sacral pain. I (her mom) left home to stay with her for several weeks because she literally was unable to bend and had difficulty walking and could not sit and bend her legs at a 90 degree angle to her body. I upended my own life to care for her because her condition is valid. Upon learning that she had a well documented long standing chronic health condition involving her bones and joints (literally over a decade and had been seen by children's hospital, etc), Dr.M had the nerve to tell her that "back pain was just the nature of life" & MRI was essentially useless because "the treatments were the same regardless of what the results were even if her disk WAS herniated" & her "insurance wouldn't pay for it unless she had two months of physical therapy first" (so he must have known just by looking at us that we didn't have money to pay for it ourselves? Note to self - wear family jewels to future Doctors appointments to appear financially worthy of MRI's..). And that physical therapy is her ONLY OPTION even if an MRI DID show any problems- thus making an MRI unnecessary. After her explaining how the pain went from her back down to her knees at LEAST 3 times, he sent her to physical therapy with a diagnoses of "non-radiating back pain" (literally the DEFINITION of radiating!). Later the physical therapist said she was confused why the doctor would "give her an ultimatum like that?" (aka require two months of therapy in order to give her an mri - which she didn't even ask for btw - she just wanted a referral to a back specialist!) Also worth mentioning it takes three months to get an appointment with physical therapy so she wouldn't be allowed an MRI for FIVE MONTHS on Dr.M timeline!!) The entire reason for her appointment was to obtain a referral to see an osteopath & Dr.M denied her a referral in spite of her having a well documented condition she has had for over 15 years at his own clinic!! My daughter left wanting to cry and feeling unheard and hopeless regarding having a future filled with this much pain. I witnessed her extreme pain being minimized & her health being risked by a doctor she sought help from. Seriously - how difficult is it to give a referral?? Fun fact - Herniated disks can cause PERMANENT NERVE DAMAGE within a week and often cause radiating pain down legs!! He refused her imaging & also access to a specialist. Then LIED to the physical therapist by classifying her pain as "non-radiating" after her telling him several times the pain went down her legs! Thoroughly UNACCEPTABLE!! If you have an actual health issue DONT RISK YOUR WELL BEING by coming to this clinic. This has been our family clinic for 22 years and we have had several Drs retire and been assigned replacements & I am VERY disappointed they have lowered their standards to hire a dinky dink excuse for a Dr like this guy who clearly didn't even know anatomy well enough to discuss my daughters back problem & literally barely touched her back for less than one minute through three layers of clothing. She even had to ask him to touch her again to show him where it hurt because he literally never bothered to ask her the location of her pain! He didn't even move her legs which is standard procedure for diagnosing lumbar sacral pain! And then he proceeded to minimize her pain when she had been bedridden at a 9 out of 10 on the pain scale (which he didn't even bother to ask her to rate either!) A Horrible Horrible experience & possibly even physically harmful due to his neglect & deliberate failure to diagnose her back pain as "radiating" (wondering now if a radiating diagnoses would have justified an MRI and/or referral to a specialist..) Bottom line - if you value your health DONT RISK coming here! You have value as a human being & deserve compassionate, knowledgeable, through care. & If a doctor ever refuses to give a referral it's ALWAYS a Red Flag that it's time to find a different Dr!

I have 2 children, and I wouldve given anything for Molly to also have been the one to deliver my oldest. Molly was my OBGYN prior to having my last baby, and she was awesome at that as well. She has great bedside manner and is probably one of the easiest doctors to talk to. After my baby was born I also found it really easy to discuss my post-partum problems and not have to worry about her judging me. I had a pre-scheduled c-section and Molly did a great job, along with her partner Dr. Rachel Bickling, at making my incision small and less noticeable (they even fixed my prior c-section scar that was a little uneven). On another note, I do remember that Dr. Bickling was a lot more detailed than Dr. Hong. For instance, I received a call from Molly stating that I passed my glucose test. That was great news, woo hoo! But then I went in for a routine pregnancy visit and Dr. Bickling asked if Molly shared the glucose results with me. I said no, she just told me I passed. Dr. Bickling went over my results with me, and what they meant, while I still passed...it was by a small margin, so I did appreciate Dr. Bicklings details that Dr. Hong didnt share with me. The nurses at OPC I cannot really review because it was so long ago. While the front desk staff have been there for a long time, they really know what they are doing when it comes to referrals and all that. I've had poor nurse assistants and some really awesome nurse assistants, so I wont judge here. All I can attest to is the Physicians. Molly and Rachel were both great. I'd do it all over again with both of them if I weren't now living way too far away.

Their feet are on the ground and their eyes are wide open. A hidden system does not limit what can be asked or said. While the office runs efficiently -- I've cooled my heels far less time in Dr. Reinstra's waiting room than many others -- its priorities are clearly not the clock, but the quality of the human-to-human encounters they offer. Dr. Reinstra and his staff have not lost sight of this.
