Dave Michaels delivered beyond our expectations. He had terrific fun games for the kids while the parents - well, the ones who weren't ALSO participating in the games - enjoyed dinner, had us doing the Mummer's Strut as well as the Electric Slide and dancing until our feet cried "No more!". Everyone got cool prizes kid prizes, even the adults, and sometimes, in the case of the Queen Mother, just because she was 'beautiful'. (She is still giggling over that). He was upbeat and engaging and hilarious. I would highly recommend him, especially for an 'all ages' event like ours. We will totally use him again!

Helloooo Darlings!…read more Hubby and Your Host attended a wedding ceremony and reception here last night, and it was among the loveliest we attended. While we certainly give credit to the lovely couple and their families, Brigalia's certainly played a large role in making it an unforgettable affair. The facility is more of a complex, with separate buildings where ceremonies are held that are connected by cobbled walkways, as if they were illustrations in children's storybooks. We're talking beautifully manicured landscapes and structures that fit neatly into the complex, so lots of opportunities for some great photo ops! The reception was held in a large ballroom with an amazing lighting package that would rival Taylor Swift's wedding at MSG. The room itself is a large open space with a grand staircase, very tastefully and formally decorated. Now darlings, be prepared to chow down. The fare is abundant, decadent, and delicious. Come here with the expectation that any diet you might be following will be thoroughly negated, and hours and hours of Stairmaster fun will follow in the days ahead, but it will be worth it. Drinks...:::hiccup:::...enough said here. Your Host kept *some* semblance of control and didn't get tanked (IIRC). STAFF: The staff here were top-notch: friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Moreover, they ALL went well above and beyond to keep guests happy. They all had a great rapport with the attendees and with each other. The catering food was not pleasant and lacked flavor. For an event where students and families are paying a significant amount of money to attend, the food quality should be much better. Another major concern was that a wedding was taking place at the venue at the same time as my daughter's prom. Students were restricted from taking photos near certain statues and areas because of the wedding, even though wedding guests did not appear until the very end of the night and were primarily located in a separate room. It was frustrating to have photo opportunities limited throughout the evening for an event that was not actively using those spaces. If the venue cannot reasonably accommodate both events without impacting the prom experience, then they should not schedule a wedding and a prom at the same time. I've heard that other local schools have experienced similar issues at this venue. When students are paying hundreds of dollars to attend prom, they should have full access to the venue and photo opportunities without unnecessary restrictions. Lastly, the venue felt much smaller than expected for an event of this size. While Brigalias is visually appealing, the food quality, limited access due to another event, and lack of space made the overall experience less enjoyable than it should have been.

The setup was in half a circle, and I was able to see most of the guests where I was seated, which was nice. The bathroom was even cute and clean. I'm not exactly sure of all the arrangements that were made, but I believe Suite105 staff were helping with fixing plates (food was provided by the family), pouring liquor (the family brought in liquor) and other tasks, and they were kindly behind the scenes to help the occasion go smoothly. I remember, as a 13-year-old, hating the same chicken parm buffer dinner with the lifeless potatoes and the tasteless green beans. So when my then-fiance suggested Auletto's as a possible wedding venue, I balked at the idea. It wasn't until we sat down with Jim Auletto, the owner, that I realized I had no way of appreciating Auletto's for a wedding from the lens and experience of a 13-year-old. We had our wedding here in January 2008, and it was such a memorable, beautiful, wonderful experience! From day 1 when we first sat down with Jim to the last few minutes in the space the night of our wedding, the staff had been so helpful. We had a lot of our own ideas that we wanted to bring to the table, and Jim has done a LOT of weddings there - he was able to lay it out for us what he's seen work and not work in the space. We brought in outside lighting, but decided to go with their preferred centerpiece floral vendor rather than taking on that task ourselves. Even their wedding cake vendor, Termini's, was fantastic. All we did was email them a picture of what we wanted and our cake type and frosting picks, and that was it. The space itself offers a really unique wedding experience, particularly when it comes to their wine cellar for the cocktail hour. Our guests raved about they ceremony overlooking Lake Almonesson in the Terrace Room, then heading downstairs to the wine cellar, and then back up on the other side to the fully decorated Grand Ballroom. It was a very neat series of transitions. I'm sure Auletto's is lovely in the spring and summer, particularly for outdoor weddings and with their new outdoor tented area, but the dark interiors with hints of japonnaise decor suited our winter wedding perfectly. I realize now, that when you're paying the big bucks for big ticket events like a wedding, the food is a LONG way away from the default booster association buffet options of middle school. The menu choices are many, and our tasting, as a result, was delicious. The night of the wedding, the food was impeccably prepared with generous portions, and the wine selections perfectly paired. We went with Filet Mignon, Chicken Savannah, and Sea Bass- my husband and I can speak for the filet (mouthwatering, buttery, HUGE), but our guests loved the other two options as well. Auletto's was also quite accommodating to any special dietary needs. The prices do vary by season; peak wedding months will certainly pay more. But since we were in the lowest-off-season wedding month, Jim threw in a lot of deals and extra upgrades to keep our business, making our wedding truly beautiful and memorable as a result. In fact, Jim made the whole wedding venue process so easy, it was the one part of our wedding we didn't have to devote much stress to - we knew we were in good hands. I definitely recommend this to other NJ brides and grooms looking for an elegant venue for their wedding.
