Had a very bad experience here I felt discriminated against. Horrible customer service

    Matcha Latte

I doordashed this thinking it'll be rich green like the picture (false advertisement btw ). So, all I can say is that they can't make matcha, this is basically milk. It doesn't taste good either. But I will say is that their fruit tea's syrup is good compared to other ding tea locations, I got passion fruit green tea with boba, and their boba isn't that bad.

Ding tea has great service and I would say go here for milk tea instead of fruit. Their fruit teas are good but their milk teas are the best I've had. Their tapioca is a little different but still yummy.

Haven't been here in a year. They still only opens for ordering to go. We ordered 2 monster boba latte -large size ( kind of dirty brown sugar milk tea). They were so yummy, the boba were fresh. Have to come back here more often. Side note: certain milk tea you can order sugar and ice level which is pretty nice.

Overall good taste, but it took awhile to get drinks since they seemed to be backed up with orders. Overall good selection of teas and toppings. Would definitely come back again when stopping in East Lansing.

Ding Tea is one of my favorite bubble tea places in East Lansing. The Signature Milk Tea, which is black milk tea, is good and is typically my go to drink. The Jasmine Milk Tea is also good. Ding Tea allows you to adjust the amount of sugar in your drink and offers two sizes. The prices are similar to other bubble tea places but they do tend to put more ice than other places. They have a lot of toppings to choose from but the downside is they don't offer the traditional boba. They offer the golden boba but it's not as soft as traditional boba.

Ding Tea --- the new way to my heart. The anticipation of Ding Tea has skyrocketed ever since I heard of a new bubble tea place under construction. Its located right next to Korea House, which is about a 10 minute drive from MSU campus, or you could take a bus straight to that plaza. Upon entering the newly opened business, we(my brother and I) noticed that the interior is decorated beautifully; its aesthetically pleasing and good for foodies to have a nice background for our photos. Behind the counter, you can see how passionate and the effort they put into to create this delicious concoction. We both ordered the signature milk tea and it didn't take long for us to receive it. The first sip brought me into another world. The tea was not too strong nor too subtle, and the sweetness level was almost perfect. There is something unique about the flavor of the signature milk tea. Its almost as if it has a slight honey taste incorporated into the drink, which I LOVE. On the otherhand, the tapioca pearls that I got were inconsistent in chewiness. There were a few that weren't cooked all the way through, and then there were some that was too soft. In addition to that, I wish that they had the black tapioca pearls, but its mainly for the aesthetic purposes(and I dont know why but they taste better in my opinion). Overall, I would definitely come back to Ding Tea. I will say that this is the best bubble tea place in all of Michigan and I recommend going at least once to try it out.

I was so happy to find out there is a Ding Tea around here. We moved from Southern California to Michigan and I was so sad because Orange County has a ton of Boba shops so this is the next best thing I can get. I have ordered a bunch of different drinks at a different location and they are no different here. The only thing they don't offer is food at this location which is kind of a bummer. You can't really mess up boba so I was happy they passed the test. I usually like to order online and then pick up because the shop can get pretty busy. By the time I get to the shop for pick up it is ready to go. One thing that is different are the prices. A large size drink here is about a dollar more expensive than a large size drink in California (which I think should be the opposite). This shop doesn't offer a point rewards system. Will be coming here whenever I get cravings for boba.

Grabbed a cup of lychee green tea with jellies at Ding Tea and it wasn't bad but in the last few years I've found other bubble tea places that I enjoy more, which is why my rating dropped from 5 stars to 4 stars for this spot!

Super cute place. I tried the original milk tea with coffee jelly and it was soooooo good! I would definitely go back to get another one and try some of the other goodies listed.

Perfect place to catch up with a friend. The highlight of the place of course are the drinks. I tried one of the recommended teas, the classic taro milk tea, and I loved it. The taro definitely came through with the sugar lid being on point. I definitely want to go back and knock out the recommended drinks list!

Amazing tasting boba with a staff who's super kind. The inside is also really cute and the perfect place to chill at.

The grape is my absolute favorite. You know it's real when there's grape skin at the end of your drink. The Uji Matcha is also good. I couldn't wait to get my hands on the delicious fruit teas. The first time I went to the East Lansing location, it really surprised me. The interior was simple yet very elegant. As you could see, it was a pretty photogenic place to take pictures of your drinks. The dining area seemed pretty spacious, they had small tables and also counter seats. I've tried a lot of items on the menu, however my ultimate favorite has to be the Cheese Foam Mango Tea. There was sweetness from the mangoes, cheesy from the cheese foam, and the slight bitterness from the tea. I thought that this was perfectly balanced. The service that I got here everytime has been amazing. By far, I think it is the best customer service I have seen for boba in the East Lansing area. Overall, I'll be coming back here pretty often. I would recommend others to try this place if they haven't!

Uni as in Michigan State Uni, and Cha as in tea. But in case you didn't know Cha was tea, they've put tea in the name too. So it says Tea Tea. Fun times. It's a Unicorn-themed tea place, and that alone deserves a high star rating. If I was rating just based on their drinks then I would have to give three stars despite how wonderful and friendly they are in here. They didn't have any tapioca or any other topping that I wanted. A lot of places - when they run out of tapioca - will still charge the full amount, which Unicha did, and it wasn't cheap. I really think they should give you something or knock off a dollar or something - that would be better customer service. On the other hand these guys were busy making elaborate Thai rolled ice creams for a whole bunch of cute young college girls who disappointed me by not really flirting with me. They did stare at my bunny on my arm a little bit and they did giggle and have wide eyes, but there certainly wasn't the sort of flirting that I hope for when I'm working out the way I do LOL. But that is beside the point. The point was it they had great customer service and that they rustled up my tea between the very long ice cream process for all the girls which meant that I could get out of there in a reasonable time since I wasn't doing the extensive ice cream making ritual that most people come here for. As for said ice cream. Honestly it looks pretty good and more often than not ice cream places doing Thai rolled ice cream do get it right. So I will give them 4 stars based upon the fact that they are more known for the rolled ice cream and it's pretty good. But I'll have to give it another try so that I can determine if I should lower to a 3 match the really really disappointing milk tea that went straight in the trash - or a 5 which is reserved for the very best Thai rolled ice cream places that I've loved the most. Or that I've loved the Moch, if they have Mochi as a topping. I even named my lovely little fierce deadly cat Mochi. What an awesome and cuddly kid he is. And lethal and fearless. Anyway I've already said too Moch, it's time to move on to the next review.

4.5/5 I will say…read moreeverytime I've stopped by Koi Tea, they've consistently served up the perfect bubble tea drink. I've tried a lot of drinks off their menu, including the one they modified for a seven-year-old who wanted a non-tea, but hot chocolate drink with the tapoica pearls. I'm not sure if it's the workflow of making the bubble tea here that makes it perfect or if it's the individual working the register- somehow it's always worked out. And the ambiance- absolutely relaxing. Nothing beats the YouTube Korean indie and rnb mix playing on TV with the faux vines curving around shelves and the walls, with an open window space concept (tons of light)! Something that I look for with bubble tea places are how consistently their tapoica pearls are cooked through and Koi Tea has been stellar. In previous visits, I've had their viet coffee with pearls, thai tea, and I would likely pick their fruit teas over the milk combos. Sometimes the milk teas end up pretty sweet even when ordered for 50% sweetness.

We stopped by on our last drive through Lansing and got: Jasmine Milk Tea, 100% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.00) - There was no tea flavor whatsoever in this drink. It tasted pretty much just like sweetened creamer. The boba also did not have a consistent texture. Most of it was way too soft and was basically like overcooked mush. A minority of the boba was only a tad on the soft side and had a good chew, which was reminiscent of the boba here a year or two ago. It feels like Koi Tea mixed two batches of boba together, which is a huge faux pas for any boba establishment. I have no idea what happened to Koi Tea in the last year. Given stiff competition down the road and the quality this time around, I wouldn't go here again.
