    Mango crepe cake

One of my favorite bakeries in the area! The crepe cakes are a must try here. Service is friendly and efficient. The vibes are low key and casual.

    Strawberry Fruit Cup

I was there just about an hour ago. I ordered the fruit cup and the osmanthus oolong milk tea. The drink is the only reason this review has more than one star. The fruit cup is rotten. The strawberries are leaking liquid and the cream is separating. This is also not the first time, I ordered a mango one last time and the mangoes were molding. I gave them the benefit of the doubt as a small business once but twice cannot be a coincidence. I also called in a few minutes ago, and since I was not willing to drive an hour back to the shop, the girl who answered just said "Sorry to hear that" in the most insincere and condescending tone that just said that she was waiting for me to get off the line.

DELICIOUS! This is such a fun spot with super delicious drinks and desserts. It's a very cool place to hang out and I really highly recommend this business.

    Popping-Boba Mango Tea

Service was speedy, and our drinks were delicious! I had the Mango Tea with Popping Boba, and even at 50% sugar, it was super sweet. I can't wait to come back for more, but I'd get even less sugar next time!

Great spot!! I've been coming here since I was in high school. Always excited to try something new from the case!!

Koala Signatures Milk Tea - Brown Sugar with boba

Such a cute and inviting place! I stopped in as I was visiting out of town for the bar exam, and Koala Cafe had excellent reviews. The boba did NOT disappoint. I had the Koala Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba, and the milk to tea ratio was perfect. Not too sweet, either. The boba was delicious! So soft and chewy. Not tacky at all and I could tell it was good quality boba. The cafe also serves food! Like real food - not just pastries I wish I had stopped in before I had dinner next door, because the calamari and sushi rolls looked so delicious. Along with the boba, I also got a Sakura pastry and matcha green tea crepe cake. The cake was good but a little heavy on the cream. Still delicious though! The staff were so sweet and gave me suggestions on what types of milk tea would suit my tastes. Loved that they were so patient while I made a choice! Will definitely return next time I'm in town!

White Peach Oolong Tea, Premium Taro Milk Tea - both with regular boba

Finally tried the food here - instantly regretted we took so long to do so!!! Their food is AMAZING. It tasted so fresh, like it was homemade. Their portions were very generous as well, especially with the shrimp - usually with shrimp dishes you get like 3 or 4... I literally kept finding more and more shrimp, it was fantastic. The shrimp stirfry was a bit spicy but not hot enough to stop me. It was delicious. The black pepper chicken was just as awesome! We also tried their Szechuan fries. Afraid they'd be too spicy, they really weren't! They were very good as well. We ordered them expecting the meal portions to be a lot smaller, but alas. We had so much food. Definitely will be back

Stopped in when we were in the Lansing area for their baked goodies! They have a whole case of refrigerated slices of cakes and other desserts. Koala makes everything in house: *Chocolate Crepe Cake: Okay this can damn well compete with Lady M (especially where I can't get Lady M conveniently in Michigan). The cake itself was light, not too sweet. Just don't inhale any cocoa powder like I did, ha! *Macau Egg Tart - This is most similar to a Portugese Egg Tart. The outer puff pastry was layers of perfection and the custard-y goodness inside was almost flan-like! It held perfectly. *Tiger Skin Cream Roll - Growing up, I ate a fair amount of these fluffy swiss rolls so I couldn't help it. No complaints - soft, fluffy and OF COURSE - not too sweet! They had other flavors available of the cream roll as well. They also have milk teas and entrees (like purple rice burritos! intriguing). But, definitely at least stop in for the baked goodies!

Fun cafe that serves unique tea drinks. A full meal or pastries are other options and they're all good!

Selection was quite limited, against the menu offerings. The New York cheesecake was good, the crepe cake was ok.

Galley-like set up as you walk in. Breakfast diner vibes more than 'cafe and bakery'. Kitchen to your left as you walk down short corridor into cafe. Sloth-like chill attitude encouraged; the hashtag is #letshangtogether. Had fun looking at all the little sloth decor throughout. Lots of light and glass. VERY limited seating; seats about 15 (?) inside; mostly 2 tops and a 6 top. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly, permitted to sit where ever we would like, then handed menus. Turkish music playing was just a bit too loud. Hospitality. Friendly and helpful. Owner-chef seemed very happy to be there, singing and engaging with his regulars. Offerings. Basic breakfast and lunch items with Turkish and Mediterranean classics. No flavored lattes but other basic espresso drinks offered. Chai was excellent. Had the Turkish coffee because it was a Turkish joint; was REALLY good; strong. We had the Simit Platter; sesame-like NY bagel, feta chunks, and olives. All very good. See pics. Apparently they offer cooking classes, catering, and meal prep pick-up -- for ever-changing healthier, fresh, easy-prep take-out options. Of Note and Last Impressions. Lot parking. Overall, fun.

It was tasty and even better with the bread they provided. It could've been packaged in a better way because the oil dripped out everywhere by the time we got it home. Maybe a plastic container with a tight fitting lid. The mezze platter was also quite nice, especially the carrot appetizer. The bulgur patties were also flavorful. The artichoke was slightly disappointing because it didn't have any other flavor than salt and vinegar, similar to canned/bottled artichokes. The salad was fresh and the dressing was light. Overall, this was a light and tasty lunch.

The used book venture is another topic. Online they have a number of parameters for the used books you bring in. some being "no library marking" and "no creased spines", they do not accept textbooks, bibles or magazines. I have personally seen all of those things on their shelves from the bible and religious text, to library markings. so it does bother me when I come in with books in good condition and am turned away, BUT then i go and those same books are on their shelves to be sold. make it make sense.

I made calls to multiple Record stores within the last 2 months prepping, planning on where I wanted to go. Schuler's seemed like the hidden gem no one goes to. I was told, along with several other people that they HONOR THE LINE. I showed up at 4am. I was second in line, made friends with the first and third in line who were also told they honor the line. at 8:45ish a man came out and took note of how many people wanted Taylor Swift only. I was hopeful I was getting my entire ISO and my oldest would get what they want to because again, 2nd in line. Doors open at 9am and the man who came out earlier announces free for all. At that point it became a safety issue, people running, pushing, hollering. I got everything I was after however they only had 1 copy of what Toby wanted and they sold out because of course. I called the grand rapids location, the GM was super nice, offered to send us the vinyl free if they had it in stock but sadly they had only gotten 1 as well and it sold out. I am so sad for my oldest because this was supposed to be a fun experience and because of one careless man, RSD has been forever tainted for us because I really don't want to risk sitting out from 4am-9am in the rain ever again just to be trampled on.
