I chatted with Kristina before booking her in to Howl-a-Day and she instantly put me at ease. She understood Pipers needs and didn't have a problem accommodating them. Because they have indoor/outdoor runs, Piper was able to stay separate from other dogs and humans and still get outside for play and potty time. :) When a snowstorm hit the morning, I was supposed to pick Piper up and I couldn't get out of Anchorage, she was able to keep Piper for an extra day no problem! Will definitely book with Howl-a-Day again! It's great to have another resource for boarding when unexpected travel comes up!

The owner put her in an ecollar and when we went to visit and check her progress she was thin and had picked up lice. She was terrified. She was supposed to stay longer but I was crying when we left without her and I told my husband to turn around and we went back and took her home. That was when we found the lice. I was devastated that we had unwittingly put our young dog in this situation. This was several years ago but... Beware!

Warning for travelers with flights. Extremely disappointed. We dropped our young dogs off today…read morejust before 10am and within 20 minutes we were called and told to come pickup our dogs. When we dropped them off they placed them in the yard. we brought their stuff in and they showed us their space. That was it and then we left. It was quite rushed. When they called they said your dogs are scared and won't let us approach them so you need to come pick them up. I asked if we could sit with them till they become comfortable and were told no but we could talk about it when we get there. They already had all of our stuff packed up and there was no real discussion. They said they had a schedule they needed to keep and this wasn't the place for our dogs. There was no working with us or attempt to try to make the dogs comfortable. In the end we had no choice but to cancel the vacation because boarding facilities are all full because of the Holiday. What a crappy thing to do to people to not even attempt to work with you especially since they offer 2 different drop off times of morning and evening.

They regularly share updates on her day, report cards, photos and videos about her day. They practice some basic training skills and have lots of play time. They also offer advantix, teeth cleaning, nail trimming, etc. So it's great that she can have that all done while she's at school. The same staff have been there for a while so it's nice to see the employees are treated well and make a decent wage.

The last time we boarded our dogs in February 2016 we got our 3 dogs back and they were dirty and needed to be bathed right away. My wife swore to never bring them back again. This trip, July 2016, I left all 3 dogs there, forgetting my wife's instructions. They spent 13 days there and I picked them up covered in feces and their feet were wet. I had to drive with the windows down in the car as the smell was overbearing! I bathed all 3 dogs as soon as I got home and found them more disgusting than first noticed. I will not be going back. I don't normally write reviews but this necessitated it. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this kennel.

I only take my dog to off leash parks and he gets along fine with other dogs. When I picked him up, they forgot to give me my dogs' bed and I forgot to ask for it back. The next weekend I drove 100 miles, round trip, to pick up his bed. The bed was covered in feces. I wondered if they ever even picked up his feces. When I got home I looked at my dogs' belly and he had dried feces stuck to his hair.

I was looking for last minute boarding and heard good things about the place so I scheduled a meet…read more& greet. First of all, the paperwork is 8 pages per dog...I don't even fill out vet paperwork that long. Secondly, they have a 3 step long process "to be accepted" to board with them, so if you work full time- good luck. During this meet & greet, I was spoken to (or lectured) like a 12 year old by the owner, Tim, regarding my dog's separation anxiety while separated from the my other dog in the car. I was also swiftly lectured about both the vet's and my decision to wait a little longer to neuter our 8mo old puppy. Overall did not appreciate the interrogation style this owner took with me. I doubt he would have taken this aggressive and lecturing tone with my husband, but we'll never know because he was so rude and dismissive of me. Though I do not doubt his plethora of knowledge about dogs, but what he has in knowledge he lacks in people skills.

Our Aussie had never been away from us so leaving him was tough for him & us. Jaymie & her family were so wonderful with helping him get settled & feel comfortable & confident. They included training techniques with him that I didn't realize he'd been missing. Now we drop him off there every once in a while for a day away & he loves it!
