We're so glad we found Renee and Dingo Doggies to help our dog Nala with severe anxiety around high-pitched sounds. Walks had become extremely difficult and stressful, and we didn't want to rely on medication for the rest of her life. Nala started attending Dingo classes, where she receives both physical and mental exercise, learns to listen to the trainers, and practices staying calm in a structured environment. She works with different trainers each day and is exposed to different situations, which has been great for building her confidence. Additionally, we love getting a glimpse of the dogs in class through Instagram stories! We also decided to do at-home private training, which Renee taught us how to provide Nala with a safe, consistent, and structured environment to help her de-stress. Training at home was difficult at first, but we stuck with it and it was worth it. Where do I start? Renee and her team and Dingo Doggies cannot get a high enough recommendation from my wife and me and our fuzzy dude Saka (1 year old Goldendoodle). We can't imagine our life without Dingo Doggies. Saka was a typical pup when he came to Dingo about a year ago and was pushy, overly excitable, and lacked impulse control. I had watched countless Youtube/Instagram videos before we found Renee and Dingo and finally took him in for a consultation. Over the next year, the structure of daycare helped take him from a pup that would jump on the furniture and run up stairs to one that happily sleeps under our feet when we're on the couch at night. We've gone from a dog that couldn't calm down and would ramp up uncontrollably on walks to one that's starting to learn off leash recall and can walk behind us on a 15ft long line. There will always be room for improvement, but we trust Renee and her team to help show Saka and me how to live our lives together and help each other coexist. Amazing doggy daycare that takes daycare to the next level. I am amazed by Renee and Matt and others in the staff for their tremendous care for Rose, my 10 month old ridgeback puppy. At daycare, Rose has gone on pack walks on the treadmill with her friends, done agility course to engage her mind, had her rest time and afternoon chill play time. When I first brought rose, she wasn't as confident and sometimes would get really excited around other dogs. Now, with the help of great trainers, she's more chill and well adjusted. Even at home, I've seen the difference. While I'm working, she's very calm and knows when to wait for things and stay in place. We recently moved to Encinitas from Culver City. We miss Dingo Doggies so much! Renee and her staff are excellent with all the dogs. My dog is picky with people, but he loved all the people who worked there. We are also very selective about who we leave our dog with. We always felt confident that our dog would be well taken care of by Renee and her trainers whether he's there for a class, daycare or boarding. My dog had been going to Dingo from when he was 8 months old until he was 3 1/2 years old. They have a nice structured program for the dogs including agility, treadmill and relaxation (including massages for the dogs). The dogs learn to play nicely with each other and how to relax. We also had Renee come to our house to train Winston. We felt it was very helpful. I wish there were a place like Dingo Doggies near where we moved to. read more

I didn't see Renee's response until now, and it definitely warrants a response for the welfare of other dogs who might end up under her methods. Her response is a case study in gaslighting and not taking accountability for her actions, communications and words. Bottom line: 1. She physically put her hands on me (without my consent) and caused physical pain, 2. Attempted to bully me and by dog into thinking we had massive problems to fix that would require dominating my dog into a helpless/submissive/survival state, 3. Responded with a smug "clap back" and gaslighting (e.g. see how she twists words, qualifiers and rephrases them to defend herself, or puts "aggressive" labels on dogs to justify her behavior) to try and absolve her of her responsibility in being an unqualified, abusive trainer that manhandles dogs (in front of prospective clients! shamelessly!") to get them to comply. Honestly, her toxic response speaks for itself. 4. I am allowed to follow up with her assistant to hold them accountable for scheduling and professionalism. It does not mean I want to entrust my dog to her. Consider my review again: "After waiting weeks for a meet and greet with Renee to get my dog into a socialization class that I was told was available, she showed up at my house, told me there was no space available, asked a series of loaded questions, and immediately diagnosed my dog as an "aggressive dog who's running your life and is going to bite someone before the year is up". She insisted I hire her for a full day of training for about $400 to show him "who runs the household" when this wasn't even an issue. When he calmly approached her to say hi, she would coldly knee his face out of her, and would repeatedly demonstrate on me on my thigh (painfully!) with her fingers to show how to jab him in the neck to startle him. Additionally, she said that she deals "mostly with rich people in the Palisades who are ignorant to dog psychology and don't want to deal with training their out of control dogs", and she couldn't accommodate me because of where I lived even though that information was provided multiple times up front. So she actually doesn't service West LA, but mostly Malibu/Pacific Palisades. She then took my dog out to meet the other dogs waiting in her van. As she opened the door, she elbowed, pushed, yelled at, and shoved various dogs to pull certain dogs out of the van to meet my dog. When she told them to sit, she would push down on their rear to force them to sit despite the fact that they were trying to appease her and already starting to sit, and were in a slight panic because of her forcefulness. The whole experience was just really disappointing, negative and a waste of my time. They said they would follow up and never did, either. It takes a lot of management and control to handle multiple pack walks with multiple dogs. But most dogs will comply out of intimidation if you physically dominate them. (Also, she misuses shock collars in a punitive way - it doesn't matter how it feels on a human. Each dog has their own sensitivity level to shock collars - Renee is generalizing in her response unethically.) But sensitive dogs with behavior factors to consider do not get "fixed" by dominance; they need, among other things, a relationship based on trust. This is not what Renee did; she flattened dogs to put them in a learned helplessness state, and the average layperson wouldn't know the difference. Some clients, especially those dealing with training/puppy issues for the first time, are impressed with harnessed aggression and one-dimensional displays of control to manipulate a situation. But is that what your dog needs? Who are the stakeholders, and are they all happy and safe? If you have a sensitive dog that needs motivation and calm leadership to truly bring out the best instead cowering through a misinterpreted version of dominance theory, then this is not the service for you. I eventually found an actual certified behaviorist whom my dog did wonderfully with. I also work with behavioral cases and in rescue, and I also advise others to stay away from her. My dog continues to be awesome, and I'm glad I met Renee and saw her for what she was instead of entrusting my dog or others to her. read more

Dingo Doggies saved me and my pup, Stanley. Stanley is a high energy, intelligent, sensitive, working breed and when he hit puberty it became impossible to walk him or take him anywhere without him getting frustrated and lashing out at me. I was covered in bruises from his nipping. He did a 3 week board and train, was given a routine, structure and focused exercise and came back a different dog. We put our 5-1/2 month old puppy (Murphy) with the Dingo Doggies team about a year ago and it was so amazing for how it helped Murphy mature quickly as her brain (not just body) got exercised. Our dog is a working breed so she needs the mental activity, plus she learns to socialize in a calm way and not always at play. There are pack hikes where all the dogs are on a horizontal tether so that they need to learn to work together to turn, wait together if someone toilets, etc. Plus there's placement exercises where they learn to sit/stay for good amounts of time, only going in/out doors of the house or car when called, and on rainy days there's treadmill walks. Additionally, Renee and the rest of the DD staff are amazing in their dedication to helping the dogs be the best they can be! Our family feels so LUCKY to have found Dingo Doggies for helping to create a foundation for our dog's training that we can build on at home. And it's wonderful to have the consistency throughout the year to ensure Murphy is always practicing and building on her mental agility. Renee has been an absolute life changer for our puppies! We used to have to take care to avoid other dogs on our walks, because we weren't sure if our dogs would play, bark, or start a serious tussle. I used to get my neighborhood dog walker to take out my sweet lab a few times a week while I was at work, but when I got home she was bouncing off the walls. I LOVE Dingo Doggies! My friend tagged me on one of their Facebook posts for me to check out the page. I thought it was so cool seeing all of these dogs jogging together with huge smiles on their faces. I already had a dog walker some take my lab out, but this looked like something more than just dog walking and with the bonus of seeing pictures and videos of my sweet girl's day! So I tried it for a month and my dog Zuma loved it (she looked so happy in the pics and videos) and she was also more chill at home. Our dog Roger (Sheepadoodle) began with Renee when he had his final shots as a puppy around 6 months old and shaped him into the most well behaved, confident dog after almost two years of pack walks! My dog, Cody, just competed one month with Dingo Doggies with 2 weeks one on one intensive training with Renee. Renee started out the process by incorporating Cody into her pack and building her confidence with other dogs, something she was lacking. Hello, I wanted to share a great dog service with all of you dog owners. I met the owner of Dingo Doggies while walking around Santa Monica. I noticed that the owner, Renee had several dogs with her. We began talking and I learned that she had her own business where she takes dogs out every day to do different activities for a few hours. This was something I was very interested in as I work long hours and dont always take my dog Luna out for long walks. I asked Renee how we would arrange my bringing my Luna to her and she asked me where I lived. Fortunately for me, I live in Westchester which is only a few miles away from Renee. She told me she could pick up and drop off Luna while I was at work. I was sold! We arranged for her to come by my house with her dog so that she could meet Luna. Everyone hit it off quickly and after spending some time talking, I felt comfortable having Renee pick up Luna. It has beeen 4 months and I could not have found a better service. Luna loves Renee and her long hikes in the mountains and her occassional day at the dog beach. I also enjoy being able to look at photos and watch video's of Luna's activities as Renee posts them on facebook. She is great with dogs and incredibly trustworthy which is extremely important.
