This review is long overdue!!! Our initially shy goldendoodle has been coming to doggie goddess since he was only 10 months old in Oct 2022 for both their daycare and boarding services. We wanted him to grow out of his shell and have an indoor/outdoor play space. He is now almost 1.5yrs old and he just THRIVES at doggie goddess!!!! He loves it and gets so excited before we even pull up to the building. He has become so much more confident and playful and loves the "pack" mentality. He is so socially content after his days there! I love the instagram pictures and videos the staff post to see him playing with his friends. I can't express enough how much love the staff (Traci, Yadira, Taylor, Stefany) give to our dog and all dogs there. They know everyone by name and really get to know the personality of each dog to ensure their safety and comfort. This place is honestly amazing and I highly recommend. This is a long overdue review. I can not say enough positive things about Doggie Goddess. We've been taking Stevie there since July 2022. Traci and her team came highly recommended from a dog group I belong in. We were looking for boarding and I didn't feel comfortable with another day care we were taking Stevie to at the time (that's a whole other post). They are all so welcoming and loving. As soon as we go inside Stevie runs in to play with his fiends. He still has a hard time sleeping away from home and they still love on him when he's running around in the middle of the night. When he comes home he is exhausted, which means he had a great time playing. Stevie was recently attacked at a dog park and the pack leaders all made sure he was comfortable with his friends and wasn't scared. LISTEN Y'ALL!!! Doggie Goddess is *THE* place. Stop looking for other daycares, and ESPECIALLY stop looking for overpriced boarding that just keeps your dog in a crate all night. This is your sign! There is no other person you would want to take care of your fur baby other than Traci and her staff! They make you feel as if they've known your baby since the day you got them, and your baby is a part of their family too-not just a day at the job. My little man, Duke, has aggression towards certain people, so leaving him with a stranger that I never met really made me nervous. But after his 3 night stay, it looked like he had a smile on his face for 72 hours straight (you can just tell when your bub is happy). She even called on the first night just to reassure me that he is doing great. What other place can you say takes their time out to be personable with you? I moved an hour away and I still chose to make that drive the last time I went out of town because that's how much I believe in her small (but oh so mighty) business. It was Dukes birthday yesterday and I dropped him off for the night so he can have fun with all his friends (yes, that how great she her business is) and they took a video of them singing happy birthday to him. Oh my goodness we love Doggie Goddess and I am so glad to have found them. You can tell everyone who works there loves the dogs like their own - especially the owner Traci! Her upbeat personality and bright energy will instantly put a smile on your face. I love how excited she gets when she sees me dropping off my dog, Harlow, for boarding. The first few times with Traci, I have been pleased with the personal care and communication regarding my dog Leo but it seems things have changed recently. I am unsure if the facility is overwhelmed with the capacity of the dogs they take in, and although they have hired assistants I am not confident I will be coming back to use their service again. It is painful for me to leave a less than stellar review for Doggie Goddess since I am always supportive of family-run businesses. When it comes to leaving my dog in the hands of others, I am careful to select someone for obvious reasons. When I didn't receive any updates from Traci, I reached out and because I had just arrived at the airport late Saturday night (10:30 pm) she did not get back to me so I followed up again the next morning. I got an explanation of why her messages were delayed due to her sleeping early and also "sleeping in" on Sunday's. I understand that her life should not revolve around her business 24/7, but all I got regarding my dog is "he is fine, and he says he will see you tomorrow" along with a pic after her rundown of her sleep schedule which I felt was unnecessary. The following day when I came to pick him up, her assistant brought Leo to me and told me how he was so good and how much they loved him. I appreciated her assistant's reassuring words and energy. Traci saw me and waved from a far, which felt a bit impersonal and as if she wanted to avoid me altogether. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is the vibe I got and my mind could have been put at ease if she changed the way she spoke to me. Also, the next couple of days Leo showed signs of stress and seem disoriented when he was home rather than the usual energetic and happy dog he is when I pick him up so that's another red flag I picked up. I guess I will be taking up on my friends' offer to dog sit him in the future, or continue to find a better pet sitting service. **Update and response to Traci: I felt 2 stars were fair and representative of the service I received in the recent stay, as I said. Traci has the right to defend her business and the way she runs it, and as a customer I believe in honestly speaking about my experience and sharing with others. I am candid in how I felt, which I have outlined already and Traci confirmed in her response about our text message exchanges. I didn't get any updates while I was gone, and checked in when I landed since she is aware of how long Leo would be staying. The previous stays Traci would update me voluntarily, or I would check their IG to see if there were any pics of Leo so why would I assume it would be different this time and give instructions to update me. Isn't that protocol at most pet sitting services for extended and overnight stays? In this case, there wasn't any updates or posts until I requested an update via text. To say that she can't seem to please me makes it sound like I'm being demanding when all I asked was how Leo was doing. This review could have also been avoided if Traci communicated to her clients about the well-being of their beloved pets and in a professional manner rather than a long paragraph about her sleep routine on the weekends and 1 sentence about my dog. I am unsure what Leo's experience was like since he cannot talk so I am going off of what signs he is showing, which is not typical of all the other times he's been with Doggie Goddess. As I said, previous stays were pleasant but this recent time was different. I stand by my review and I hope Traci will take the time to assess ways on improving her relationship with her clients with better communication rather than relying on them to tell her how to rectify the situation. It was a good run but I will now have to move on. read more

I write this with great sadness as I recently had to put my dog down, but I am happy to say she found great comfort in regularly going to Doggie Goddess during her final months. Traci & her crew are very professional, run a well-oiled machine, and hands down have the best hours of any daycare operation in the Greater Los Angeles area. Viv would always get excited from the front passenger seat as we rolled into the parking lot at 6 a.m. every weekday and would make a beeline to the door with someone always there to greet her. When picking her up, I always felt peace of mind that she was properly cared for, as I'd hear her barks of joy coming from outside the building, knowing it was time to go home for some much-needed rest. The facility has a great outdoor space and there are no cages. My dog is so happy to stay there that when I drop him off he doesn't look back and when I picked him up the last time he wanted to stay. I appreciate the regular Instagram posts with photos of him playing with the other dogs. Also I can get text updates whenever I need to. This was my first time boarding my 9 month old puppy, and i was super nervous of having to leave her my baby for the next three days. Tracie reassured me to not worry one bit, and she actually made me feel really comfortable leaving my puppy with her. When I was away, tracie responded to my texts fairly quickly and also sent me pics and videos of my puppy which i really really appreciated. She was awesome, and i felt so relieved cause i thought she was taking care of my puppy with so much care. She even bathed my puppy before I picked her up! Unfortunately, the day after i picked my baby up, she started throwing up constantly, threw up a 2 inch seed, and started to throw up blood. I immediately contacted my local vet, and texted tracie as well cause i had no idea where my puppy could've ingested that from. She responded quickly, and kept telling me that she has no idea my puppy could've gotten that from either. She searched on google to find what kind of seed it can be after i sent her a picture of what my dog threw up, and she told me it might be a seed that falls off from palm trees. She kept telling me that there are "no palm trees around her area", but keep in mind that my puppy threw up not even a full day after coming back from tracie's place, and i haven't been able to take my dog outside ever since we brought her back home (btw i live in an apartment, so no backyard). It actually makes me sad cause i thought this place could be the place where i can overnight board my puppy when i need to go out of town, but i dont think its worth taking the risk of spending $115 for overnight boarding and then having to spend over $2k on medical bills after bringing my puppy back from boarding. read more

Exceeds expectations. I'll probably give it the 5th star when we go back. I had to take my dog to the vet for an unexpected procedure. The vet is close to my work, but I can not take my dog into a professional office setting so I was hoping to board him at the vet until I could pick him up at lunch. Unfortunately the vet did not take boardings, but recommended we walk down the street to this place. Worked for me! The owner(?) was very nice and accommodating on short notice and the dog seemed to have had a good time. I love Doggie Goddess!!! But more importantly our pup Mowgli loves Doggie Goddess. He stands up in the back seat of the car and starts wagging his tail as soon as we are rounding the corner for drop off and then he drags me to the door running off without so much as a goodbye kiss for his momma. Mowgli is an awesome dog and likes play time, but when new to a daycare facility he takes a lot of TLC because he's nervous and overwhelmed to meet so many other new friends. He's like his mom in that way. So nervous in fact that he can come across as aggressive when he's actually not. We have had other daycares that don't give even 5 minutes to work with him and end up throwing him in a kennel for the day. Not acceptable. When we moved to LA and were looking for a new daycare we came across Doggie Goddess and I could just tell before we even brought him in that this was going to be a great fit. The communication with Traci and team was exceptional and high touch. They listened and believed us when we said "we promise he loves other dogs but may not seem like it at first". After all, he went to daycare 5 days a week back home. They told us their plan of action to work with him on his first day and sure enough he was having a ball in no time. He doesn't go 5 days a week because we work from home right now but we take him when we can and he's just always so pleasantly exhausted when he comes home. You won't regret handing your pups over to these fabulous folks! The team is so loving and fun - you can just tell they all love everything about what they do and have such care for the animals. That's neither here nor there, but I will say that my fur-baby means the world to me, I've had him for 12.5 years, and there is nothing I'm more particular about than his care. As a matter of fact, I removed my baby from another daycare to come here because Traci was so much more personable, has demonstrated a tremendous passion and care for our babies, takes them into her own HOME (I mean, who does that?) and works very, very hard to make sure everyone is happy. Of course that's impossible, but I've never had a question about my baby's care, treatment, or safety with her. And with a dozen dogs freely roaming, playing, and having a great time -- would anyone really expect them to come home smelling like peonies? It is a blessing that my dog was kicked out. My dog BARKED at your staff and did NOT want to go inside the door. My dog was SCARED of your staff and I have no proof that your staff did or did not harm my dog, but dogs have a sixth sense and as a dog parent I trust that my dog sensed danger right in front of your door. Mind you, my dog does not bark unless he is frustrated or scared. When you get an unhappy customer and a negative review, it only makes sense to apologize and fix the problem in order to sustain your business. Traci keeps defending her business and making the problem worse. Being defensive does not serve your business. For every negative review on here, Traci has responded to protect her business. As you can see from those reviews, however, they had pleasant beginnings and nasty endings. Word-for-word during the call she made to me when she told me to pick up my dog: "I don't know how you're training your dog but he really needs some serious training." Yes, he needs training but NO you do NOT know what kind of training I am giving him and you do NOT know me. Traci knew from the get-go that I just got my dog from a rescue. But you know what, your staff really needs some serious training as I have had no problems at other daycares. I am okay with her telling me that my dog needs training, but I am absolutely NOT okay with the way she framed it. From experiencing that phone call to waiting at the lobby for my dog because her girl could not get my dog (you work there though???? Not I??), it was overall a horrible last day experience. I got my dog myself by the way because she couldn't. Also, they had a new customer interview/test and those two new customers saw everything that went down and decided to not continue with this daycare. In fact, they both complained to me that the facility smelled. I give credit when credit is due. I am a big tipper and always tip more than 15% for even average services. In addition, I am a very relaxed customer. For me to write this review is definitely once in a blue moon. If you are reading this, DO NOT take your pup here. As a dog parent I know how much you love your pet. Your pup deserves so much better. If you do want to take your pup here, make sure you get a tour of the inside first. This is the part that you as a parent do not get to see. There are NO cameras here for you to see what happens inside. Owner is a good talker. Do not get reeled in by talk like I did! read more
