I have been a dental hygienist for 26 years and have never seen such poor quality of care. I called the MA Board of Dentistry to file a complaint indicating Dr Dinn was practicing below the standard of care. I worked for half a day and all the patients I saw had moderate to severe periodontal disease and 1. the patients were not informed and 2. there was zero periodontal charting completed on the majority of his patients. It's supervised neglect. I'm passionate about dentistry and take pride in quality of care for each patient. When I discussed patients with Dr Dinn regarding patients w 6-7 mm pocket depths and generalized moderate tartar under the gums his response was simply that 6 month cleaning where fine. read more

After 8 years with Dr. Dinn's office, I was informed, following a scheduled appointment for myself, that my family was basically 'fired' because in 8 years I had to reschedule appointments for my two children on approximately 5 occasions, the most recent (2 mos prior) had been due to a 15 minute scheduling discrepancy between what I had on my appointment card and that which the office sent via text the day before/of. I was informed that the office would no longer schedule appointments except same day for me or my children. I was flabbergasted! The second most recent rescheduled appointment? Two years prior when I had given the office the front office over a week's notice. I actually had the office print out the entire history of our family appointments to show the woman the I had given ample notice (because I am actually a very considerate person) and was not inconsiderate of their time she had suggested. The whole experience was humiliating, having had to address this matter in front of other patients in the waiting area. The woman at the front office (not receptionist) was condescending and unwilling to acknowledge that indeed, in 8 years we had only rescheduled a few times (including a blizzard), despite having the evidence in front of her. Following the appointment, I was told that because my children were polite, Dr. Dinn would allow us to stay on as patients, but the same day only appointment rule would stand. Thank you, but no thank you. They charged me $120 to have my records transferred to our new dentist. read more

Saw Dr Dinn multiple years ago while I was on mass health and he frankly treated me like crap. I have dental anxiety and he was extremely rude and lacked compassion. He got frustrated that I could still feel pain while he was drilling after multiple numbing agents were administered. Acted like I was a waste of his time. I would advise anyone I care about to see someone else. read more

I've always heard Dr. Dinn was great - after my first appointment, I stopped hopping around and have been using him ever since. It's worth the 50 minute drive for me, and has been for about 5-6 years now! He is extremely knowledgeable to say the least. Anyways, I just had a filling done today and was once again very impressed with him, so out of appreciation, I've finally decided to write a review. The way he and his assistant work together is just so smooth and assuring. He's always on point and has always managed to save my teeth (which I assure you has been a challenge I'm sure). I'll be sticking with Dr. Michael Dinn until he retires. Give them a try, the whole staff is amazing! Thanks for always doing the best possible work on my teeth Dr. Dinn! What kind of dentist doesn't know what gingivitis is or the problems it can cause or not have any sensible solutions, treatments, etc. to offer his patients other than expensive, painful, and often with negative results. Not to mention getting stuck in traffic over the bridge causing me to arrive to a couple appointments about ten minutes late and so they turned me away and told me to take my business elsewhere without warning. A couple good staff members doesn't make up for the overall poor service :( read more

Dr. Dinn was not my favorite dentist. The wait time was somewhat unreasonable, and I didn't find the staff to be very helpful or considerate. I came in with a cracked tooth. They were unable to help me at the initial visit. We scheduled a later date to deal with the tooth, and when I called to reschedule, I was told that they wound not be able to see me if I cancelled my appointment. On the day of my appt to have a crown put on, their receptionist called to tell me they canceled my appointment. My orthodontist said they wanted me to have braces on before the crown which was not the treatment plan they discussed with me. I explained that I have an open bite and due to the route canal I was only chewing on ONE TOOTH! The pain of that is ungodly, there aren't words to describe it. They expect me to get braces and suffer for years possible and THEN get the crown, leaving my tooth exposed for all that time?! Michael Dinn never contacted me himself, just let his female receptionist do hos dirty work for him. He is obviously fired and I would not recommend him for any complicated cases. read more

My family and I have been patients here but both my husband and I are very displeased with how we have been treated by staff and Dr Dinn many times. I called to ask for my records and how to go about getting them and the staff was extremely rude and hung up on me twice. I do not recommend this office. Also the doctor demands to take xrays every 6 months to charge insurance even though we don't need the xrays. I personally don't want to have radiation that often if it's not necessary. Seek a real professional dentist because it's not here with this office sadly. read more

I agree that Dr. Dinn's office staff are unprofessional and that they are definitely weeding out MassHealth patients. I was called by office staff to not only confirm my appointment but to confirm other appointments that were not mine! I also did not receive a reminder call. When I had to cancel because of car problems I was dropped as a patient. The letter, which had no closing (e.g. Sincerely, etc.) read: "We make every attempt to establish a healthy dialogue with all of our patients so that we both respect each other's time. Unfortunately, this has bot been possible in your case and we can no longer set aside time for you, because we cannot trust that you will arrive for your scheduled visit." The MOST UNPROFESSIONAL attempt at a letter I ever received. ZERO out of five. read more

I am very impressed with the quality of my filling, Dr Dinn and his assistant were fantastic and there was no pain. The first two times I have been there they have always been very polite and professional. The dental assistant that cleaned my teeth was personable and professional and did a thorough job with my cleaning. Because of all this I now chose to return again to have a bite guard made. I trust in the work they do and the cleanliness of their facility which is why I will always return and why I believe others need to try them out themselves also. read more

If you're looking for a new dentist I would run from this practice I should have known the first time when I was sent away in pain and another appointment was not able to be scheduled for over week when I returned it was too far gone and I need to be sent to a specialist to have a root canal. I went forward with veneers with Dr Dinn and 5 years later they are peeling off beware! read more

I had been a patient of Dr Dinn for the last 18 years , simply due to the amazing,friendly and sweet hygienists which all make up for Dr Dinn's not so personal bedside manner. I recently had an infection in a tooth due to my cancer treatment which has done a toll on my teeth. I was prescribed an antibiotic and scheduled an appointment with an oral surgeon. Due to scheduling it was 2 weeks before I could be seen, I needed another prescription and was told I had to come in again( it was a Thursday at 3 pm when I called Memorial Day weekend) unable to make it before closing for the day, and not returning until the following Tuesday, Dr Dinn still refused. Horrible patient care. I now have a new dentist. My daughter also has moved as she was told she had needed 2 fillings.....got a second opinion and doesn't need any. read more

Hello,5 years ago this jerk who calls himself a cosmetic dentist filled all of my cavities on my upper teeth and made me a partial.All of the fillings failed miserably,and I am now going into upper dentures.Stay away from this guy,unless you dont mind losing your remaining teeth.He doesnt seem to really give a crap about his patients,especially if you ever had to leave him for any reason,he will refuse to take you back.His staff are all pretty rude too,very clicky,unless you smell of money.Run fast read more

They always treat my concerns with the utmost importance, ensure that I receive the most thorough treatment possible, and make every attempt possible to explain things to me in a way I can understand them, without having professional knowledge in the field of dentistry.
