I visited this salon twice for highlighting and it was nicely done last year and this year. That is why I rate overall a 2 because of the bad haircut but good color. Got a lot of compliments and combined with the hairCUT I had done somewhere else last year in September, people were telling me I looked "hot." Got a lot of compliments otherwise as well.So I thought I would try Dino's for a cut this time and boy do I regret it! The price was more than twice the amount and with the tip, ended up being 110 dollars, compared to the place I was going for 38 dollars which included a generous tip. Dino's expertise disappointed. They offered to have it fixed but turned them down, if they could not listen and do it the first time, then I do not want it any shorter or thinner so will go back to the 38 dollar place where their cut got me the "hot" compliments! At first I thought the cut would be ok. I noticed it looked thin (I have naturally very very thick hair which is gift) Most people do not want thin hair. At the time I told her it was ok thinking my hair may have just needed a wash and it would fluff up. But no, the hair was THINNED with shears. I wanted well defined, sharp and clean layers throughout and down to the length of the hair (the way the 38 dollar place did it last year) and upon close inspection, there is no order or any layers THROUGH the hair. I told her how I wanted the length to be cut to "swing and move". I learned to do this back in the 90's and the owner of a VERY upscale salon could not believe how well I cut my hair length. I have learned tips on how to layer and point cut through the years which is why I did not need a cut for 9 months because I knew how to snip it to refresh it. Right now it is so hopeless I don't dare do anything to it. I can't even describe what is there....no layers going through it, some straggly strands sitting on the outside of the hair but I cannot style it into a edgy look that made me "hot." When I told the stylist how I wanted the length cut she smirked and adjusted stuff at her station like I didn't know what I was talking about. At the 38 dollar place, they usually cut and ask how I like it so far and if that is what I had in mind. They often take an hour with me. Dino's stylist seemed in a hurry. I mentioned the sides I wanted angled and layered and point cut. She did one side and not the other. She did not pull one strand from each side to make sure they are equal like at the 38 dollar place. When I watch youtube on how to cut hair, I did not recognize those techniques here, otherwise my hair would have turned out more acceptable. I was better off with my thick hair, layering that had grown out some but not completely in 9 months than with this straggly, cut lacking any kind of precision or style. I thought washing and styling would help but NOPE... it looks like one big blob of hair with no clean layers. I do not think the sectioning was done like the pros do it on youtube to create the angled soft look around the face. I also asked her to slither that section that frames the face but again she did one strand on one side and not the whole section and the other side does not match. Again, no cut here for me again. Color is very good but the cheap cut is the better one. The gal who cuts at the cheap place wants to make me happy and does her best by checking in with me as she is cutting to ask, "is this too short", or "do you want me to layer all the way around and through the hair?" I felt rushed at Dino's. The hair I cut myself was not blended either. At the other place, they do blend the hair. I even saw a video on youtube where a stylist fixed someone's badly cut hair and made it all blend in nicely. It was amazing. Not sure why I see hair that looks so unorganized, sloppy layers. Will get it fixed but not here. I will not mention the stylist name. I tip well because I appreciate people working hard and depending on tips. They were well deserved for the color once again but not at all for the cut. read more

After breaking my wrist I decided to find a salon to get a shampoo and a blowout. Luckily I was paired with Maisy who is very friendly and does a great job. The prices for the blowout are far more reasonable than other salons and again I've been very happy with the results. read more

I usually go to the Dino Palmari in Beachwood, but my regular stylist retired so I figured I would try this salon in Eton after reading the great reviews. I originally called to book with The salon manager after looking at our portfolio on Instagram, but the receptionist suggested Maisie. She was Nice and very talkative. I asked for a trim and just a little face framing, when she was done I noticed that it was a little point under bottom of my hair which I asked her about she said she would fix and she did something call texturizing which I know usually thins out the hair and make split ends, for my fine hair anyways. Now I am going to have to have someone even it out to make it look halfway decent. especially since I am ready to take a trip to Europe next week. This is not what I would expect at Dino Palmari in Beachwood I've been going there since 2011, Jessica, Anna and Melanie were fabulous and always knew what I wanted never a bad haircut. She started with a brief consultation by asking if I preferred to keep the hair length or to cut it short. She also provided her view on it. Before cutting my hair, Natasha shampooed and conditioned my hair with rejuvenating scalp massage. Natasha trimmed my hair in a very efficient way. I absolutely fell in love with her gentle changing of my hair style from edgy to elegant layering. When she was blow-drying my hair, Natasha was also very caring to ask me if I have hair care products at home. Natasha has nearly 30-years' experience as a hair stylist. She is a master. I highly recommend this salon and I go to see Natalya, who I love. First, you should know that I'm someone who prefers going to the dentist over going to the hair salon. I hate staring at myself for an hour in the mirror, wet hair in my face, the stress over what someone is doing to your hair, ugh. However, this salon is charming and actually makes it fun to get your hair done. First and foremost, the salon is kept clean and there's tons of different beauty products at the front to purchase if you so desire (I love that they have mini Kevin Murphy to go as that product works best for my fine hair, but there's tons of Oribe, Davines, R+Co, and other familiar nice products). I have never been pushed to buy a hair product, which is SO NICE. I hate when people basically make you feel like you need a product to feel beautiful. The bathroom is cute and clean, and there and at the front counter they usually have some nice luxury hand lotions. You can book an appointment online, which sadly not all hair salons have even though it is almost 2020, and is a great feature so you can book out in advance and not have to go back and forth with an employee to find a date that works. There are some black leather chairs to wait and always a chair open, usually the only people waiting are moms waiting for their daughters to get their haircuts. They've always offered to hang up my coat and they have tons of drink options. This past week they have a fridge of sodas, water, tea, coffee, red wine, and a hot chocolate bar! So cute. While you're getting shampooed and conditioned some of the chairs actually have a massage feature, which I've only used once, but is so nice! I also paid once for the $20 extra Oribe gold hair mask before the haircut and didn't feel like it made a difference to my hair, but everyone is different. I've never gotten my hair dyed so I can't speak to that. Natalya is wonderful with understanding exactly the style that you're going for and she remembers exactly what you like, which is so refreshing. She is a very kind lady and I enjoy her company very much. She also cuts hair extremely well and my hair always feels so fresh, shiny, and healthy afterwards. What else can you want? Her haircuts are $65 each. She is a wonderful hair stylist and I highly recommend her. At the check out counter there is always a little bowl of Jolly Ranchers and usually a free product hair sample, such as Davines hair oil. How nice! : ) And now that it is the holiday season, they are having a special where if you buy a $75 gift card to the salon, you get $10 extra salon cash, or buy $150 gift card and get $25 salon cash that can be used for hair products or services. I love this and purchased the $150 one as I know I'll be back, and they're basically rewarding their customers with some free hair products or a treat. I've lived in cities where every single haircut costed $110-120, and now I'm paying half the cost for the same quality. This salon is full of professionals and if you live in the Cleveland-area you should absolutely get your hair cut here (even though that will make it harder for me to get my hair cut, I can share the wealth). read more

It is pricey, but you get what you pay for when it comes to hair color. My only complaint is for the last 3 visits they've been running pretty late, and staff seems less attentive. Because of the modern atmosphere and kindness of the staff, I prefer this location over the LaPlace location. Hairstylists give helpful tips and hint at the services that their salon offers, but are never overbearing and don't give advice that isn't in your hair's best interest. Update: I went here to get a manicure today with regular polish. There's only one manicurist, Julie. I made my appointment ahead of time and arrived on the dot at the time I scheduled it for. I waited about 5 minutes until she took me back to a nail table tucked between unused hair stations. She soaked my nails, filed, buffed, and trimmed the cuticles. She was very gentle with my stubby nails and never hurt me or cut me once. After manicures, the area below my nails on my finger are usually red and irritated. However, they're not at all. The color selection is sub-par but the colors that they do have are nice. There are probably only 15 bottles and they're the "try me"s up front. She also has some tucked away in her drawers but I'm not sure how many. She was helpful but not imposing in choosing my friends nail color to coordinate with her grey sparkly dress and hot pink shoes for an event. I am incredibly impressed by the paint job she did. The nails look beautiful, fully covered, no bubbles or fuzz, very shiny. It's as if they were gel! This nearly perfect manicure was only $21.60. read more
