3 starts ONLY for the food!!! Good food but rude employees!!! Got a spicy gyro and she hardly puts any spicy stuff on it so I ask for the white sauce and she tells me it's extra. Random but okay. She puts less than a tablespoon on it and charges me $1.50 (which is technically a 2oz) I doubt I even got a half an ounce. Next time I'll be ordering the white sauce on the side. Dino's has been my go to for gyros for many years. The gyros are very filling. I ordered online and love that all the vegetable toppings are no extra charge. My online order was ready 4 minutes early and their notification system was great. My only complaints are parking is difficult during busy times. Also there were no napkins in my bag. Gyros are messy and a few napkins would have been appreciated. The bag was stapled shut so I had no idea there were no napkins. read more

I had one of the worst experiences I've ever had at Dino's tonight around 6 PM. I've been here before and received good service, so this was very disappointing. This time, the service completely changed. The staff member who helped me was extremely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. The way I was treated felt disrespectful and honestly discriminatory. It's not something I say lightly, but the experience gave me the impression that I was being treated differently because of who I am. No customer should ever feel singled out or disrespected when simply trying to enjoy a meal. Good service should be consistent, and tonight it was far from that. Our family moved out of the Twin Cities for several years and when moved back we decided to try Dino's, one of our old favorites. Totally different concept than before, as others have said, it's "Chipotle" style now. Food was decent, what there was of it. Very small portion sizes. The person behind the counter actually removed a few slices of gyro meat as they were serving it up. It was a tasty snack, but I was actually hoping to have lunch. Small portions for the money. The ingredients have a consistent quality and the flavor is always right there. I like to drop in once a month for a gyro with seasoned fries (though I'm mourning their feta fries!) The people are decently friendly and don't hold you up too much, though it's clear the volume of the store makes it hard for them to hear your order. At least it's not too loud in the dining area. It's similar to chipotle, except faintly Mediterranean. They start with a generous scoop of rice, topped with your choice of protein, sauce and veggies. I ordered take out- gyro sandwiches and side salads. On the positive side, the food seemed fresh- the vegetables were good quality and the pita was pretty good. The meat was so-so. However, the tzatziki sauce was not good at all. Without good tzatziki sauce, it's not really a gyro sandwich- by my standards. Maybe I'll try it again and make my own tzatziki sauce. I love that you can get it as a salad, sandwich, or just on a plate.. (among other options.) Just tell them how you want it and your wish is their command. First impression: mediocre quality food for high price. I got a falafel salad. Falafel's were kind of bland and didn't really have a lot of flavor. And the salad was mostly lettuce as they were stingy with the vegetables. The hummus was grainy. Luckily I got some tabbouleh and added that to the salad and that saved it. Only problem is that now that's a $15 salad. Not with the money. I didn't get to experience any interaction with the staff as I was just picking up. The Chicken gyro salad was actually quite good, and comes with a side of a warm sliced pita, that would be excellent to dip in hummus or tzatiki. The Chicken schwarma rice bowl was also delicious. We were suckered in by a photo near the entrance so we also ordered the Honey puffs. For a fast food gyro, this place is pretty decent. The restaurant was very clean and the workers were friendly. I had a lamb gyro which tasted great! The setup is similar to a subway or chipotle which I like. The fries on the side were also good. Bonus- they made a new batch just as we walked in so they were extra hot and fresh! This place was very good, taste-wise. I loved the different toppings you could put on your salad or sandwich. I had the #7 which was a chicken gyro. I did notice that they had 3 turntables for the big slabs of meat that are shaved off. There are 3 different kinds of meat you can get. The first kind is the regular full lamb option, the next is lamb mixed with beef, and the last option was chicken. You have to be careful of the little surprises they throw in to mislead. For instance, if you get a salad, if you get meat on it, they charge you extra, and they don't tell you it's more, they just throw it on. I'm sure they don't do this at all of the Dino locations, but at this particular one they did. Along with my sandwich, I had the choice of different sides, but I chose their Greek fries, which were pretty good. I do feel, they could have had more lemon juice and other herbs to really kick it up in flavor. This place almost reminds me of a Chipotle, but Greek style! If you haven't tried this place.....do yourself a flavor and go! Just be cautious of any extra prices of food that they may charge. OPA!!! read more

I wondered if Dino's should be reviewed as a fast food place; relative to Burger King or Taco Bell it gets 4 stars. Relative to more upscale Chipotle/Noodles & Co. format it gets 3 stars; relative to all restaurants, I stand at 2. The gyro meat was rubbery in texture and bland in flavor. I like my gyro meat thick, greasy with sheep juice, and with burnt crispness to the uneven edges got singed. The problem with Dino's was there was no uneven-ness, no inconsistency. It was almost like it was never really cooked, just synthesized. Got the $27 Mega Gyros Family Pack (1 lb. gyros with 5 pitas, sauce and toppings, plus 2 orders of sides and 1 large greek salad). Salad was fine, pitas didn't open up into pockets, rice was good, and hot pita chips with hummus dip was a nice treat. Used $25 Blind Squirrel bought for $10 - saved $15. read more

Went to Dino's for lunch on 5/24/23 and was very disappointed that they have succumbed to shrinkflation. The gyro pita was about half the size, so therefore the contents were about half as much, and at a higher cost as well. $9 for an item the size of a soft taco? Decent portions. Friendly staff. For entertainment while you eat, sit and watch the patrons come in from the parking lot and try to guess if they are going to Dino's or Noodles next door. What you will quickly learn, if you didn't already know, is that Noodles is very much a "Chick" place. So it isn't that hard to guess, but the Dino's patrons are certainly more interesting as is the food. But, that comes from a guy that doesn't shop at Macy's, doesn't go to tanning salons, and is willing to get his hair cut at a place with a barber pole out front. read more

For fast casual Greek fare it is what it is. Clean and comfortable with friendly service. What is lacking though is the bold breakthrough flavors that I expect from Greek cuisine. The gyro meat could use more spice, and more lamb. The tzatiki was more like mayo than spiced yogurt, with almost no cucumber flavor. The onions were bland, almost like they had been soaked in water to make them more palatable. The tomatoes, well, pink and bland. (Personal rant - pink tomatoes don't have any flavor. If you just let the tomatoes ripen they will gain some flavor, it costs nothing to let them ripen.) In Minneapolis for Greek for the same amount of money I would make the trip to Christos or Its Greek to Me. Your taste buds will love you. read more

The food here is pretty good, but what really puts this place over the top is the friendly and helpful staff! My husband usually hates Greek food, so he was not at all enthusiastic about eating here. The manager took the time to help my picky hubby find a dish here that even he loves. While I was disappointed that this location does not offer the lamb kebab, I was delighted to figure out that I could put together a yummy chicken shawarma salad that fits with my low carb eating plan and was just under 300 calories. Here's a hack for y'all who are wondering how that works. 1) have them put the dressing on the side 2) ask for extra peperoncini peppers. Take about a tsp of the dressing and mix it in. Add a few olives and just a bit of feta, cukes, tomato, and green pepper and you have a delightful salad. Also, the staff was very friendly. I'm actually a big fan of this place. Most Greek places here in the cities are up scale and still serve crappy food. This place is casual, fast, and serves good food. Service is quick, they have a nice thick Tzatziki sauce, the Gyro meat is good, and the pita bread is chewy and soft. I usually get the filafel sandwich or combination platter. Their tabouli is supper good! I have not tried the baklava yet but it always tempts me. On evenings when the house wants Greek food I've been known to get their Family Platter of gyro meat, 5 pitas, toppings, and sauce to bring home. (note: the family platter has more meat than can be used with 5 pitas, so get more bread) The place is close to our house, priced right, and has good (not greasy) fast food, brought to your table and served on real plates. read more
