Visit this little hidden gem on 221, small little diner with outside eating area too. The breakfast is very tasty with fluffy pancakes, blueberry was my choice. Eggs cooked perfectly. The omlete was huge, filled with meat and blended cheeses. Hasbrowns were maybe just under cooked, but they seemed to want to be potato cakes. Service and coffee was great. My caution is the stairwell to the basement restroom and leaving the outside door open for the local critters to invade the space where some items are stored.

Dinos is a hidden gem you can find on the way from Floyd, VA to Hillsville, VA and spots in-between. Stop off at this little restaurant for some fantastic, inexpensive Greek food.

I lived in the area for a couple of years before trying Dino's. Now I'm a regular. I've had some things that I don't care for at all. The chicken filet (grilled or fried) are the best I've had anywhere on the east coast. The gyro is excellent, and if you're really hungry, the gyro platter will definitely fill you up. I also enjoy the gyro platter because it comes with a large side of tzatziki, which is just drizzled on the regular gyro.

Friendly family owned business with great gyros and cheesesteak sandwiches! The new remodel is great too.

Absolutely a diamond in the rough. As other reviewers said, don't judge by location or outside looks. Inside is clean rennovated and comfortable restaurant with some of the best food you will eat. The staff is outstanding as the food. Took some friends there and they were floored by the quality of food and choices. Now, everytime I go by, the parking lot is hopping. Plenty of L.E. vehicles at lunch. Need I say more?? An A+ place to eat. read more

Looks can be deceiving. This little restaurant on the side of the road doesn't win any awards for aesthetic appeal, unless you are fascinated by buildings that have been added onto over time, decorated haphazardly, and expanded into a metal carport that serves as patio dining. But don't let any of that keep you from stopping at Dino's if you're looking for a good, home-cooked style breakfast. We don't recommend the iced tea, which may have been instant (a no-no in the South), but the scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon were delicious, as were the bacon skillet and the Denver omelette. I'm always wary of restaurant bacon, but this was some of the best I've ever eaten. Crispy, cooked perfectly--the best part of my meal. My spouse went to the restroom, where he couldn't find a light switch and had to take his chances using it with the door ajar, so take a flashlight if you need to use the facilities. Overall, the ramshackle building is not appealing but what's most important is the food, and we were pleased with ours. Will go back to try dinner sometime. read more

Love this little diner. I went for an omelette one morning and it was delicious. The gentleman helping me - I presume the owner- was so friendly. It's Greek owned which means the food is going to be good. Absolutely worth a stop. read more

I had a nice meal yesterday but tonight, mushy spanakopita. Mushy and salty. When i opened the take out box, I could not believe it. The soup was supposed to be chicken and rice. It was watered down, no chicken, a little rice and again. salty. Yesterday, my soup was good and the " baked" Greek spaghetti was not baked but, good. Tonight, I ate just a little and feel sick. read more

Family run restaurant. Stopped on a whim when traveling from Floyd to Hillsville. Ambiance is secondary when the food and service are stellar. Hands down THE BEST Greek food we have ever had. The gyros had tender, flavorful meat with fresh tzatziki on the softest pitas ever. The soup was delicious as well. All for a great price too. The owner is the cook and is super friendly. read more

Good food. I have become a regular customer of their Gyro Platter! The place doesn't look like much and the service is what it is. I suggest carry out because Covid doesn't seem to have affected them. read more

Dino's is quite hidden gem in the middle of nowhere, but certainly worth a 10-15 minute car trip if you're in the Floyd area. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building; when you walk inside you will find a clean, quaint mom-and-pop diner that serves hearty portions of breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare with a distinctly greek twist. The gyro dinner platter alone is worth the trip. The owner is a very nice guy with a strong greek accent who stopped by my table to chat. All in all, a fantastic atmosphere with great food, which is sure to improve in the summertime when the outside patio is open and they serve fresh grilled fish. I would rate this alongside Mickey Gs as the best food value in the Floyd area. Make sure you bring cash, as they don't accept credit cards. read more

This place was AMAZING! The food was so good, the service was unbeatable. The chicken gyro, the steak burrito, the lasagna, the soups, the sandwiches and the spanakopita were superb. Definitely a hole in the way from the outside but a TRUE GEM on the inside read more

Perfect Gyros, chicken or beef/lamb with garlic yogurt sauce. Great food all around, though not a slight bit pretentious. (Its just a huge menu.) Very good breakfast omelets. The amazing greek folks who run this place simply are possessed of different values than one sees in this land today. They make their own ice cream in the summer, and a famous for shakes. He probably makes his own yogurt, though I never asked. What would people around here do without Dino's? Shudder the thought! Cash or check and they serve beer and wine though no Retsina. read more

Looks are deceiving. The place doesn't look a 5 star restaurant but the food is always top notch. You get a ton of food for your money and the owners are always super nice. Get the gyro. The owner is Greek and it is by far the best gyro I have ever eaten. read more

Looks a little iffy from outside, but some of the best Greek food I have eaten. Vegetable soup was full of veggies a little spicy. The Spanakopita was delicious and my Gyro was outstanding. The Pita bread was fresh and lightly grilled to a slight crisp on the outside. The meat was moist and favorfull. I am planning on stopping every time I drive that way in the future. read more

Bring cash or a check! This place is an amazing find. The food is delicious (our group had the lamb gyros as well as the chicken platters) and at a very reasonable price, and the owner is incredibly friendly. He was planning to close at 6.30pm but he stayed open for us. Would definitely come back again if we were in the area!! read more

We have traveled past this little restaurant for years and avoided stopping even if we were hungry. Today we made the pivotal decision to stop and give it a try. Yes, the outside of the building is lack luster but WOW the food is amazing. We joked with Dino today and told him that Guy Fieti on the Food Network, "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" should stop by and try out this little tucked away joint! Yes, the gyro was scrumptious, the vegetable soup was almost better than mine and my husband ordered a beef burrito (he said it was nothing like he had eaten before) "just full of savory flavors" that made him very happy. We will be back to try other menu items soon. Their menu offers something special for everyone's palate at very reasonable prices. You will not be disappointed. Just get in the door to meet these friendly people and enjoy a delicious meal!! read more

A small restaurant in Willis is also one of the best restaurants anywhere. With an owner who is Greek and cooks all of the food, Dino's serves up not only authentic, delicious Greek food but many other dishes that an expensive restaurant would serve. You might think a restaurant is all about the chef and food, but Dino's combines great food with very beautiful, intelligent, hospitable waitresses and a very homey atmosphere. I recommend Dino's to anyone who wants delicious food for great prices. Anything from the best gyros and homemade soups in the country to homestyle burgers and fries. I have eaten at many restaurants but I have to say Dino's is at the top of the list. A great chef, waitors, food, and atmosphere is what makes a small authentic Greek restaurant one of the best restaurants anywhere. I highly recommend and hope you check Dino's out. read more

As a native Floydian, I am familiar with all the restaurants in the county. I must say that Dino's, a small Greek restaurant located in Willis, is the place that offers the best, most authentic food. When the owner is also the cook, and is also Greek, you know your food is going to get fixed correctly. Dino's offers the best bang for your buck in quantity and quality of food. As a regular here, I DEFINITELY recommend visiting Dino's! read more

As mentioned below, this place is a hidden gem in Willis, VA about 15 minutes away from Floyd County. The owners are great and very friendly!! And the gyros are DELICIOUS!! Some of the best I've tasted and the gyro platter is on point and well worth the $9.50 that I'd pay any day of the week!! And my wife loves their burgers, grilled fresh and made to order. Just make sure you come with cash, they don't accept credit cards! read more

I recently had the privilege of having dinner at Dino's a small Greek restaurant on RT 221 in Willis VA. What I found was a home made soups, great portions and what had to be the best gyro's ever made. So if you find yourself in Floyd CO. VA do yourself a favor and stop in you won't be sorry. read more
