This was a bucket list course and it did not disappoint! Played in the summer (pricy in the winter) but the course was in peak conditions! Greens were true and the fairways were excellent. The views are stunning and the I'd recommend the hot dog at the turn! Friendly staff! I will say this apparently not a "fast" course as we got done in 4 1/4 hrs yet apparently that's quick! Will have to come back to play Sidewinder. read more

Fantastic track with great staff. The service from the moment you drive up to bag drop until you leave from the bag is what you expect from a top tier club. Played Dinosaur Mountain last week with my son and had an awesome time. Even with their summer makeover in progress, the course was still beautiful and a blast to play. Probably closer to a 3.5 experience. Awesome views and great course. Ended up getting a grilled chicken sandwich and it was great golf course food. Unfortunately they just overseeded the course so the greens were like putting on fairways. For a $200 round, I wish they would tell you when they are overseeding. If you play in the fall make sure to check call and double check the conditions of the greens. read more

Views are spectacular! The Starter was a bit much acting like this is the greatest place in the world...described the greens as fast which was way off. Mostly nice conditions but big patches of dead grass. Lack of water is pretty messed up. Even less expensive courses give you a bottle and have many water stations. Only two here. For $300 a round I would say the landscape is epic but the course could use some attention. The sand traps are in need of serious upgrades and the tee boxes are like a turtle shell on several tee boxes. Anyways, check it out for the experience but this was the 3rd time and I'll pass for a while before I go back. read more

First off the facilities before you get to the course are bad. Really bad. It's not worth $300 per round but it's a fun course. Tons of elevation change. It's worth playing once in your life even if the range, putting green, and clubhouse are a disgrace. read more

Only live about 30 minutes south of this gem. Finally had an opportunity to play it, and since my son was in town. We both did it together. Very scenic course. It's a Kodak moment almost every hole. Was expecting to be a lot tougher then it was, however it only made it even more enjoyable. Course is in great shape, maybe the greens were a little slow. Practice green is shut down has of now. Will try to make more attempts to play this course more often, diffidently worth it. read more

This is an amazing golf course with fantastic views and an excellent pro shop staff. Scott Scherger is the Director of Golf and he does a a remarkable job organizing everything. They have steady play everyday and the golf is so well run. His shop has quality merchandise, too. This course is our grandson's favorite and as a AJGA elite junior golfer, he has played many great courses. You will not be disappointed! read more

Man there are some whiny golfers given some of these reviews. I've played a lot of courses and by far this is the prettiest one I've ever played. The conditions were excellent and it's a challenging but playable track. I loved every minute of the round and shot a 75 after bogies on the first 3 holes! The only aspect they could improve is the practice area which is not that great. Otherwise I'd give it a 5 rating. read more

Love this golf course with all the elevations and every hole has its unique fairway and approach shots to the green. Great place to golf in Arizona I must play golf course when you visit the Phoenix Valley. Plus you have the majestic views of the superstition Mountains. read more

Dinosaur Mountain Course is good but 5.5 hours to play 18 is not fun. I went into the pro shop after the round to ask why the Rangers don't enforce the 4.5 hour policy and the response was "5.5 hours is typical for a weekend". I reminded him it was Friday and he shot back "Friday's are weekends here". Too many nice options in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area to tolerate that lack of Customer Service. Never Again! read more

Gorgeous course! We've played both sides, Dinosaur, and sidewinder. And go back to the Dinosaur side every time! Definitely recommend the Dinosaur course. It's scenic, the conditions are phenomenal, the holes are exciting and spectacular! The staff is great, they also have an online booking through their website, makes it convenient anytime of day, to book your tee time! Also, if you're a Arizona resident, you get a discount! One star is a stretch. The pro shop Was rude, the ranger was beyond rude. We came for twi light at 135/pp. we knew We May not get in 18. We were told repeatedly. The course we reserved was closed. No one called nor texted. They wanted to close and hopes we wouldn't show?!!! There was no one on the course but us. Ranger kept circling us. At hole 8, we were told we needed to go to 14 because that would give us the experience. There was no saying "no". He was rude and Quite frankly, an ass. The course is pretty, but never worth the horrendous attitude and treatment from staff. Our round cost $536. We were having fun until the ranger decided they wanted to leave at a certain time. If that is the case, set time limits and Ask people to head in. They were so Worried about telling us we wouldn't Make it through, they left out info, like how to access a restroom on the course. You have so many beautiful courses inArizona, I would NOT give them your time nor your money. The ranger ruined a wonderful day for no reason. No one was on the course. We weren't screwing around and we were respectful. We were a family with two adult children. Someone should teach him manners and Perhaps if you don't want people there, don't take the public's money. read more

Hands down the most scenic golf course in all of Arizona. You can either take my word for it, or go see it yourself! You won't regret it. Just make sure you play the Dinosaur Mountain side of the course, instead of Sidewinder. read more

Very pretty course but the staff is absolutely disrespect and rude. We were told we were aloud to play golf with 5 people but while we were golfing the ranger followed us around for 10 holes making sure our buddy was playing by himself. read more

No water on the golf course and the temperature was 107 degrees at 9:30am. I inquired about the water and a staffer said someone died from drinking water on the course, so that is why they do not furnish water for the patrons. They are the only course in Az, that are inconsistent with the rest of Az courses. I would not recognize this course read more

Recently played a round with three others at Dinosaur. The course is in good shape and is very scenic. The area around the clubhouse is very poorly designed in that all activities are jammed in. Range is useless. Most troubling was that our round took 5-1/2 hours, with three groups always backed up on the par threes. No sign of a ranger. When we voiced our frustration to the pro shop they simply said "sorry but thats what its like here on weekends". Our round was on a Friday. I would never go back... read more

Social Distancing at a PRICE. Checked in to play last week and asked about single rider carts. I was told they weren't doing it at this time since they had a full tee sheet and not enough carts. But if you wanted to ride alone they could accommodate for an additional $15! So it WAS available if you wanted to pay for it. This just smacks of taking financial advantage of a health pandemic. I love the course, but I cannot continue to play here with this type of hypocrisy for financial gain. read more

Scenery was nice, but disappointed in the quality when we played yesterday. I know they had a good rain storm on Saturday, but it made the playing conditions not ideal 2 days later. Lots of sand traps still had a lot of water in them and grounds crews were on almost every hole repairing something or draining the traps. At $110 a round, I would've expected either better quality or a discount that day knowing their course was not in top shape. Spend a couple of weeks every year visiting my sister who lives in the area and I always make sure to play this course two or three times while I'm there. Wow, what a fantastic golf course! Truly disappointed. There was no hot water in the room, so we couldn't use the hot tub - the only reason we booked the room. The service at the restaurant was terrible - 3 tables and we couldn't get ice water. We golfed as well and Victoria, the person who's the ranger on the course accused us of bad course management and ruined what was to be a great round on an awesome course. This is my second time here and sadly my last. 1st impressions don't last after all. The course is amazing. Pity the service and other facilities aren't up to par. read more
