As a executive course, Augusta Ranch is definitely setting standards. It has an elite driving range with a tracking system. They have a great practice area for chipping and putting. The course is always in good shape. A very fun place to play a round, or practice. Then have a drink or meal afterwards. read more

I came here while I was in town. It was a decent golf club and surrounding area. I have no complaints about the golf club/golf course or their service - I had a good time. My only complaint would be that when driving in, I was almost hit a few times by drivers who were not paying attention. read more

Tried playing 18 holes but it's August and there was no drinking water at any hole! That's cruel! Only place to refill was by the club house. Also no beverage cart! Play was SO slow. Threesome before us then twosome then two singles (one walking) then another twosome! All were complaining! Why not schedule foursomes to speed things up a bit! Ending up quitting after 14 holes! Poor business ethics for summer! read more

TL;DR - Terrible pace of play (on track for 4.5+ hours) - Starter tried to "fix" backed up course by making my group a 5 some - Starter pulled my buddy and I off the range to tee off 15 minutes before our tee time Found this course a couple years ago and it had been a good value. Course typically in good shape, available tee times, reasonable pricing, great pace of play (stated goal of 3.5 hours or less). The past few times pace has been terrible, 4.5+ hours. Yesterday caused this course to be removed from our rotation. Had a 1:22 tee time, and got there ~30 minutes early to warm up. Buddy and I got checked in, grabbed a large bucket to share to warm up. 5 minutes into warmup the starter calls us to the tee box, and tells us he's pairing us with a couple and a single, making our group 5. We asked if we could just hang back as a twosome and he said "no it's backed up out there, we need to move people along." Had to give up a $20 range bucket to tee off early. Nobody had teed off by the time we were leaving the second hole. Group was moving very slow and we were already an entire hole behind by the 3rd hole. One of the randoms we were paired with made a demeaning joke toward us, so my buddy and I decided to let them play on. Both of our groups stayed moving faster and caught up to the groups ahead. Every hold ended up having 2-3 groups waiting on the tee box. We got fed up by hole 13 and hoofed it back to the cars. I guess the course decided revenue is more important than the on course experience. Tee times were spaced 8 minutes apart, and had a started who thinks larger groups makes play faster. Really nice golf course. We live in the community and really enjoy the activities from top tracer to scratch the pub located there.

I purchased a foursome Groupon valid on weekends for $94 that included 18-round of golf, use of cart and 100 bucket of range balls. I didn't have high expectations due to that massive discount, but I was definitely wrong! Setting up a tee time was a breeze and the staff couldn't have been more friendly throughout the entire day. The carts were clean and accessorized to our satisfaction and we were spaced properly within groups so we never had to wait. The course was well maintained and I enjoyed weaving through the neighborhood for a change of scenery every few holes. The cart lady was prompt and ensured we were never empty. Restrooms were strategically placed making sure we never had to travel all the way back to the restaurant area. Overall, a great place to golf and I'd definitely come back! read more

So sad but true. If you were thinking about booking a tournament at Augusta Ranch Golf Club, you might want to look at other courses. We have been booking 4 to 5 tournaments a year and Augusta Ranch golf course for the past four years. These tournaments' revenue for nine holes is approximately $2500-$3000 each time we play. Last month, we played Augusta Ranch again and had 40 golfers play and dinner. When we arrived, Brian Morfeld did an excellent job setting up the carts. The course was in beautiful shape. It was going to be another great day at the club. Before our group teed off, I asked Brian Morfeld where the players would be having dinner that evening, and he said inside Snatch clubhouse. Approximately 30 minutes before our Players finished. The staff started seating patrons in the area where we were supposed to be. I went to the manager and asked why this was happening, and I was told we didn't book the room. I explained that we've never booked a room in all your time we had a tournament. Regardless of what I was saying, they kept seating patrons in the area we were told was for our group. When our golfers finished, most did not have a place to sit in the room. Some had to sit in the bar outside, and some of our golfers left. The next day I called Augusta Ranch to find out why it happened. At that point, no explanation was really given. We still had one more tournament on the books at Augusta Ranch. I was compromising do we cancel or stay. After talking it over, we decided to keep the tournament at Augusta Ranch. Last week I emailed our finals number to our contact person. Much to my surprise, I received an email back from Curt Hudek, who stated he was the owner. His letter was unprofessional. I decided to call Curt to go over his email. The phone call was argumentative and Unpleasant. He was very condescending; he told me that our tournaments cost Augusta Ranch Golf Club thousands of dollars, to which I replied, "that's impossible." When I asked Curt if he wanted us to cancel the tournament, he stated that he didn't care either way. We did have our tournament. The weather was in the high 60s, lightly raining and very windy. When our golfers finished, it was approximately 66° And damp. When I asked where our group would be eating, they said on the outside patio. I asked if there was any way for the golfers to eat inside. I was told no because they had another party booked, and the room was not available. That night there was no party in the other room. It was clear that someone told them not to let the golfer use the space but to keep the golfers outside where the weather was very unpleasant. The point was made to all of our golfers who witnessed what transpired. My suggestion is that as much as many of the staff members are incredible and the course is beautiful. We were verbally attacked on Easter Sunday by an older person that worked there driving around in his golf cart.....he literally screamed at us for for 10 minutes for apparently taking our cart on what perceived to be in the wrong spot...as an adult man I have NEVER in my life been yelled at like this person did. We were threatened with being thrown out and banned before we had a chance to even find what we had done wrong!!!!!..... And to make matters worse five minutes later 2 more carts pulled up EXACTLY where we were just parked!!!!!!! I would NEVER put up with ANY business that treated ANYONE let alone customers like this!!!... definitely ruined our entire Easter!!!!!! I've experienced slow play on golf courses but this was ridiculously slow. So bad I skipped the last 3 holes. First I don't think a 5 some should be allowed first off on a golf course. And then to send a single (me) out behind them. I set a timer between shots and it was almost 2 minutes. Complained to the starter and marshal and nobody seemed to care. Hey. Here's a fun executive course that has a reasonable price. Augusta Ranch is off the US 60 about 30 minutes east of Sky Harbour airport. It's a par 61 course playing about 3800 yards and is modeled after Augusta National. It's fun. The course website says its challenging and if your short game is out of whack you'll surely loose a few golf balls. The thing I liked most was the staff. They are friendly, take time to welcome you to their course and give you tips on navigating the course and some of the hazards. Did manage to dunk a couple of balls in the water but overall, played about 6 over par. Here's a few new things. Augusta Ranch has night glow foot golf. Basically soccer on a golf course but no net. Still have to sink that "putt". Puts a different twist on playing the game and I must admit, my kicking skills might just be s touch better than my wedge game. Hey. Call them and go check it out. It actually started of good. I showed up late with hope of landing a spot (which I was ok with after all it was my fault). However, the young man helped me with finding one for me and he did. I went alone for the same reason, to be alone. As I approach a man who checks players in at the carts. Takes my key away and tells me I have to ride with a family group of 3. Because he didn't it in front of the family, I felt pressure to not respond because of respect to the family's mom who seemed eager to have me with her. I explain to the golf employer that I prefer to ride alone and he goes on pressures me to ride with them "can't you be friendly". I'm plenty friendly, I just wanted to be alone. Anywho, I just felt like he was soo rude for forcing and pressuring me to ride with someone. NOT OK! I will not be golfing here again. read more

This is our go to course when visiting Mesa, Az and not wanting to play larger courses.. Short game is the name of the game at Agusta.. Love it there and will be back. Staff all the way to the grounds workers are fantastic and very friendly.. Price still good but has been going up over the years.. Keep up the great job.. read more

I'm surprised this course does not have more reviews. This is a fun and very nice executive course. The first hole is a little boring and not so pretty with the driving range on right and houses left. But after this hole, I really like the course. The summer rate is great and the course is easy to walk with a push cart. I love the 10th hole with the water on left and in front of green. Did I mention, I almost got a hole in one on the 9th green. It is right in front of the restaurant and clubhouse.. If you are looking for a casual, fun round of golf this is the place to try. read more

My husband is a huge golfer and he's been bugging me for years to learn how to play golf. I heard about this place through a friend and heard that they have really good teachers. I stopped by and set up a time for a lesson. I had my first lesson and it was amazing!! my body was soar the next day....just because I'm really out of shape. Since I know nothing about Golf, I need to be taught like your teaching a 10 year old...lol! I was so impressed with the way my teacher really explained things to me step by step and was very patient. I was surprised at how fast I caught on. I'm so excited about my next lesson...oh yeah, and of course, my husband is excited too:-) I love the fact that they have kid lessons, activities and events. I have two kids and decided that we're just going to get the whole family started. Their prices are so good, we can afford to learn and play golf as a family. They have a nice golf shop and I heard that they have really good burgers in their cafe but haven't tried it yet. My family will have to try their restaurant when we go hit balls there tomorrow. I can't believe for Mother's day I want to go practice hitting golf balls....my friends would laugh at me. Well...I'll still be able to go shopping in their pro shop! read more

The staff in the pro shop are always friendly. For an executive course, this is a great layout with water and some cool holes. Pricing is reasonable but not great for summer. Lots of Par 72 tracks at same pricing with golf now hot deals. That said, I would highly recommend playing here. read more

2016 For five years this has been my favorite East Valley short course with 11 par 3 holes (opportunities for a hole in one!). This season however it is unpleasantly WET: leaving shoes, clubs and balls a dirty mess from water not only on low spots but also on cart paths and knolls. So, many players clean club after every shot; two STAR penalty to course managers for delay of game. On the plus side, fast greens and Superstition Mountain views are still exceptional. Revised 6/2018. "Goldilocks" greens today were perfect: not too fast or too slow. Fewer wet spots. Nice 3 hour pace of play in spite of no ranger/starter at this time of year. Pro shop is back in main clubhouse and restaurant closed but snacks are available. If you are in pursuit of a hole in one this is again a great option. read more

Beautiful short course that will challenge the best of golfers. Don't expect a par 5 but there are some long par 3's that will give you a run and some challenging 4's with some excellent views. Augusta Ranch is one of the best golf courses in Arizona. Their staff is not only knowledgeable but also courteous and willing to help. Their PGA professionals on staff at the course are always willing to give tips and help improve your game. All other golf courses in Arizona should spend a day at Augusta Ranch and learn how to run a course and take care of their customers. Brought my 2 boys for their first ever time on a golf course. We had a great time. The staff was very friendly. One guy offered to take our picture since it was their first time golfing. Consistently nice views on this short course make it one of my favorites - Superstition Mountain, fall leaves, clear ponds, and blooming Flowers. Many, 13, par 3 holes provide plenty of opportunities for the elusive hole-in-one. Right after over seeding the greens are slow but generally they are pleasantly fast and well-kept for the rest of the season. The reviews are mostly true and the Vue restaurant is good but with inconsistent service. My beef about this course is weekday afternoons. Tons of middle and high school age kids take a short cut through the course walking or on skate boards. They pay NO attention to carts, errant balls etc. I reported the issue to one of the "ambassadors" patrolling.
