You'd never guess this beautiful park is tucked between Tampa and Brandon, right near the highway. For just $2, it's an incredible little oasis and a perfect Sunday evening stop. Parking is limited, but it wasn't busy when we visited about an hour before closing. The park features easy walking trails, a 0.3-mile boardwalk, a beautiful botanical garden, and my favorite, the greenhouse. It's amazing how much history and so many rare tropical plants are packed into just 31 acres. You can comfortably see everything in 1 to 2 hours. We spent the last part of our visit chatting with one of the groundskeepers, who was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about preserving the park's history and keeping everything so well maintained. Seriously, this park is beautiful! We came out here to take graduation pictures for my aunt, and there are so many pretty spots for photos. It's only $2 to park, which is super cheap, and the coolest part is that your parking pass actually works at other Hillsborough parks for the rest of the day. The park rangers we talked to were also incredibly nice and welcoming. Plus, the actual walking path is really nice and would be perfect for a casual walk. Enchanted quaint park with plenty to gaze and wonder at. Beautiful greenhouse with tropical plants and gorgeous orchids. If you have a nice 1/2 hour-1 hour to burn, you'd want to do it here! Went to Eureka Springs Park in Tampa to take graduation pictures for my mom and it was such a beautiful experience! It was our first time visiting and it definitely did not disappoint. Parking is $2 which isn't bad and it gets you parking at other Hillsborough parks! The park is absolutely gorgeous with so many perfect spots for pictures, and everyone we came across was so kind and even congratulated my mom on graduating which made the day even more special. Eureka Springs Conservation Park is a nice park/ botanical and rose garden. The walk is very short but stunning. It was established in 1938. The garden is nice. You have to pay $2 per car which isnt bad for such a small park. There is also a rental pavilion and a place for weddings and picnic tables for picnics. Eureka Springs park definitely impressed me, we are always on the lookout to find places to walk around outside when the weather is nice. It's a plus that this park is also dog friendly! I honestly didn't think the park would be that big but it's got a good little trail and a nice boardwalk to walk around. Some of the trees are so large, and it definitely feels like you're somewhere more tropical. The park is free but you have to pay $2 to park. There weren't too many people when we visited for a Sunday afternoon. I definitely think this is a great place for photography. There are no clear springs, just a greenish pond after the boardwalk. Visited here multiple times and it's always very peaceful. We love to go on family walks to get fresh air and look at all the plants and flowers. Although it can be a shorter walk around, you can visit the greenhouse and ponds. They also have bathrooms and areas to sit around the gardens. read more

Absolutely love Eureka Springs Park. It is absolutely beautiful, quiet, well kept and inexpensive to visit. We paid $2 to park our car and went for a quick 30 minute walk with our Yorkie. They even have a big water bowl by the front entrance for your pup to drink out of. The bathrooms are located at the entrance. The park has clear signage. The park is beautifully maintained. This park is beautiful. It's a tad bit small but it makes up for it with its botanical gardens and greenhouse. I like the wooden walkway as well that goes through the woods. Me and my boyfriend were really impressed with how well all the plants are taking care of in the exhibits. Whoever is maintaining these plants in the greenhouse and outside is a legit horticulturalist. They are picture perfect. It does a good job of displaying the ecology of Florida's woods. I have a soft spot for little waterfalls and they got two nice ones at the greenhouse. The whole park is just tranquil and peaceful. I have been twice and it is kind of hard to leave cause it is so chill. read more

In the wake of the last few hurricanes the boardwalk and some parts of the park were closed. Donna the park ranger was SO HELPFUL and told us all of this, as well as advising us on the parts of the park that were still available. She checked in with us before and after our visit, answered all of our questions, and even gave my pups some treats. Then park was beautiful for sure but Donna left a lasting impression on me and my visit: it's so nice to talk to people that love their job. We came to get photos of dogs and I'm glad we did, even with closures. read more

Wow. Exactly captures our feelings about Eureka. "hidden gem" "quiet beauty" "above expectations" are also fitting. We loved this park for its charm, size, and offerings. Pros: - Small but not too small; great for a hot day. The park takes about an hour/ hour and a half to walk through which lots of shade. - blossoming plants everywhere. At each turn there were different plants, each with a unique arrangement that gives Eureka its own identity. - we met the curator the day we went and were impressed with not only his knowledge and love of the park but how highly he spoke of his staff. Stating things like I am impressed by the creativity that our younger staff has brought. It is refreshing to have someone give credit where it's due. - there is a place to get married and a small place to host a party. We have zero cons with regards to Eureka. Eureka Springs has been part of the Hillsborough County Hiking Spree the last couple of years and, due to its uniqueness, it is one of the most memorable. The draw of Eureka Springs are the plants that line the inner walkway. According to one of the plaques inside, the park was donated by a botanist named Albert Greenberg. It makes sense then that there would be an emphasis on flowers, plants and trees on the grounds. The inner grounds also include a number of benches for people to sit and enjoy the day, a circular walking trail and a gazebo. Once you leave the inner grounds, Eureka Springs offers a small greenhouse that you can tour on your own. There are a number of different plants inside including orchids and vanilla. To the right of the greenhouse is a boardwalk trail that heads along a small stream, through a swamp and ends at a spring with some picnic tables. The hike is manageable for people of all ages and abilities. It is not a difficult hike. Eureka Springs is a unique hiking experience because of the gardens and greenhouse. If you are interested in those, or just looking for an easy and beautiful weekend stroll, look Eureka Springs up. It will just cost you $2 to park. read more

This is one of those places which really showcases Florida's beauty. A wooden, raised boardwalk takes you through a lush, swampy forest and you see long streams, birds, and turtles. The trees are huge and amazing and it's shaded the whole way through. There are also many labeled tropical plants at the entrance. There's a small wooden hall that you can rent for events and the price of entry is only your parking money. It's a great value and we've visited it many times. read more

In an effort to be more active this year I organized a hike for myself and a group of friends. I chose this park because I was intrigued by the botanical garden. It was a cold and wet day when we went, but perfect for morning walk with beautiful plants and flowers. The parking lot was surprisingly full at 10am in a Saturday due to a large group of boy scouts. The park ranger greeted us and assisted one of my friends with parking in the overflow lot. She also provided us with a pamphlet that had a map and description about the park, which she also explained in great detail. The entire walk is paved or wooden and flat so nothing strenuous at all. It took us about 30 mins to walk the entire park, so we circled around twice. Definitely a pleasant discovery in Tampa for an outdoor activity! read more

The correct name is Eureka Springs Conservation Park. (EUREKA!, meaning a cry of joy or satisfaction upon discovery something special, is the perfect name!) This 31 acre South Tampa park has been open since 1967. It currently has three full time employees. To enter, it will cost you $2 per carload of 8 people; the kiosk accepts cash, credit, & debit. After you pay, you'll need to take your green ticket stub & place it on your vehicle's dash. The pass is valid for the entire day. I was fortunate to meet staffer Gary (a fellow Catholic:), who joined me for part of my journey as he provided lots of interesting information about this county park. We ran into each other later on; he was kind enough to join me in the greenhouse & continue educating me on the park. (Gary has worked for the county park system for 25 years.) The best seasons to visit here are Spring & Summer; that's when most flowers are in bloom. Thankfully, the plants/flowers are labeled w/ their names. Today few were beautiful, & I didn't see ANY wildlife (not even a bird, spider, or lizard). It was a little disappointing, but the park was still green & gorgeous! No skateboarding or even bicycling is allowed. (Gary highly suggests Flatwoods Park Trail in New Tampa for cycling-- 7.5 miles of excellence. I concur.) Dogs are welcome, but they must remain on a leash. (I am generally petrified of dogs, so of course I ran into the largest pit bull God ever placed on His green earth-- we both survived!) There is a beautiful wooden boardwalk that worms its way through much of the park; it resides over multiple small creeks. There's a greenhouse that, when in season, is assuredly gorgeous. (At this time, no flowers/plants were in bloom.) This is a beautiful park for a wedding, baby shower, anniversary celebration, birthday party, or any special event. There is a wood/glass pavilion available for rent @ $163. Accompanying it is a separate kitchenette (w/ sink & full-size refrigerator) & the outside white pergola. However, you must be a Hillsborough Co resident to rent space here. There is a gorgeous fallen tree in a small pond. Beside it is a sign that warns of gators. However, Gary stated that there was once a small gator discovered in the park, but he's no longer here. (Gary did suggest anyone w/ a dog still keep his/her pet away from the park's water areas because one never knows when a gator may attempt to settle in.) This is not a park for hiking. It's a park for casually strolling & enjoying the greenery. Due to the ease of the paths (& the wide boardwalk), it's a perfect park for anyone in a wheelchair or for those who utilize walkers. There is a section near the front for picnicking; the tables aren't covered. There is a free lifetime pass for disabled vets & spouses/parents of fallen servicemen & women. For active duty & honorably discharges vets, there is a 25% discount. (These savings are for Hillsborough Co residents only.) This is a small & safe park; over the years, there have been NO instances of problems involving unwelcome visitors-- yes, I asked. There's plenty of parking @ this wonderful county park. I shall definitely return in a few months to catch all the flowers in bloom! read more

A vast majority is paved or a smooth wooden boardwalk and one of the employees mentioned they had the highest rated bathrooms for cleanliness in the county system. We were very impressed with this park in east Tampa. It's beautiful and probably only takes an hour to walk through (if that), but you'll want to take your time and linger to enjoy all the loveliness. We came here a few weekends ago. It is open to the public, and while we were there most people had masks on or available to put on if coming near others. There's a boardwalk through the woods and a few seating areas throughout, so it's the perfect place for an afternoon stroll and/or lunch. The park is located off a small road off US Hwy 301 close to the Tampa Executive Airport. There's no admission price, only the price for parking, which I believe is $2.00 for the day. We are so glad we found this place, and we intend to return when we want a quiet place to reflect and enjoy nature. read more

A nice place for a brief escape. :) $2 to park. There's also a picnic area with some tables. The signage could use some work and the history of the park and the guy who donated it were hidden inside a locked office. There is a flier with some history. Where to start... if you love nature you will surely enjoy this park. Remember to bring $2 to park or ticket. The views are lovely, specially if you enjoy photography. When you enter park you can go left or right, both ways bring you around in a loop. It is a wooded pathway, and good for jogging since there isn't many people. There is an area to the left with nice areas to take pictures and see the different plants. The alligator signs did creep me out a bit but good to know. Perhaps it's just me but there wasn't much to do here since it was just one loop around. No benches or any sitting areas to enjoy the park. Bathroom was not very well kept, there are spider webs everywhere. The odor was no better and no toilet paper. read more

This park does except debit/credit cards and cash to which you use a machine to insert your payment option and it is $2 per car, for up to 8 ppl; They do not accept Amex. The park is smaller than most parks, however it is a nice park to get a breath of fresh air and to get your daily walk in. The park does have bathrooms on grounds as well as a small picnic area, trail walk and a green room; amenities are closed due to Covid-19. It is common to see alligators, snakes, turtles..just to name a few so keep an eye out. The park is nice and I would go again. read more
