No funds on cards after several "corrections"

Nearby Alternatives: 1UP Entertainment + Social. Laser Ops Extreme Fun center TL;DR: We spent over half of our visit trying to fix mistakes made during check-in. The experience was frustrating and largely caused by one employee, Malaysia. I took every step I could to make her job easier, and she took every chance she could to prove that preparation alone can't overcome incompetence. I came to spend time with my family, not the front desk, but each visit was the result of avoidable mistakes that should've been done correctly the first time. I originally left a stellar review after our enjoyable first visit. Based on that experience, we decided to bring a group of 11 family members for a larger outing. This visit was completely different. I approached the front desk to ask how the Power Packs worked. Before I could even finish my question, Malaysia INTERRUPTED me and demanded we register using the QR code. After registering, I explained that our group wanted to do Pro Kart and Laser Tag with the Pick 2. Malaysia responded by SIGHING, ROLLING HER EYES, and saying, "That's not how it works." She said we needed to pick two activities not including racing. So we gathered our party to discuss, before realizing we could've just done the Pick 1 Power Pack. Why didn't Malaysia explain that if we wanted to do Laser Tag and Pro Kart, we could've just done the Pick 1 Power Pack? Rather than helping us figure out the best way to purchase exactly what we wanted, the interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. Her communication was subpar. She mumbled under her breath while the music was blasting in the building. To make things easier for her, I paid for all 11 people on a single transaction. I wrote down every person's name for her. I took every step I could to make her life easier, and she somehow found a way to make it harder for both of us. The first issue appeared immediately when one of our cards was never given to us. When we arrived at Laser Tag, we were informed that none of our cards had Laser Tag access. All 11 cards were scanned. None of them worked. We were also told that only 9 players could enter the laser tag arena at a time, so we spent time splitting our group into two. Then Malaysia was called over. She walked up and immediately told all 11 of us to grab vests and enter together. So the limit changed from 9 people to 11 people within 60 seconds? After Laser Tag, we headed to the arcade and discovered that none of the arcade credits had been loaded onto any cards. I returned to the desk and was unfortunately met by Malaysia again. I said that none of the cards had any arcade credits. She smirked and replied, "We're having problems with our card readers." That explanation would have made sense if everyone in the building was having the same issue. However, seemingly only the 11 cards belonging to our group had problems while the dozens of other guests in the arcade seemed to be using theirs just fine. Throughout the evening we made multiple trips back to the front desk to correct missing arcade credits and improperly programmed cards. I returned at 9:30 PM, and Keith immediately noticed I was looking for Andrew and went to find him. Keith was attentive, kind, and professional. Andrew did everything he reasonably could to make things right, and I genuinely appreciate the effort he put in to resolving the problems we experienced. Nearly every issue we encountered traced back to the initial setup. Instead of spending the evening enjoying the attractions, we spent a large portion of the night tracking down missing cards, fixing purchases that weren't loaded correctly, and correcting arcade credits that weren't applied. When checking in, I recommend finding an employee that knows what they're doing. It'll save you from the attitude, the confusion, and the time spent fixing problems. Our first visit convinced us to bring 11 people back. This visit made us question whether we'll return at all.

The biggest n best fun center ever! A bowling alley! A bar! A food area! A race track! So many different games! We love it!

This place has EVERYTHING! Putt-putt, bowling, go-kart racing, laser tag, and expansive arcade. It even has a ropes course in front of its mall indoor entrance. The issue is the cost. It's very high! $27 for one round of go-kart racing. If you have an issue with being in the dark and then surrounded by flashing lights or just mechanical colored lights and sounds everywhere, then this place is not for you. Otherwise, enjoy!

Sunday Football deals! I saw this advertised online and decided to give it a try. II did wish they had the football game audio playing. Drinks: Pik a punch (8.5/10) & Strawberry Crush (8/10) Appetizers: Mozzarella Sticks (9/10) & Chicken Nachos (10/10) probably some of the best nachos I've had in awhile, I especially like how finely they chopped the chicken, making it much easier to consume. Also they didn't short you on the fresh toppings! Entrees: Smashburger (7/10) lacked seasoning and a little dry but the fries were great. Hot Honey Wings (10/10) these are probably some of the best hot honey flavored wings I have had, you can tell they aren't cheap with the ingredients and use lots of real honey, that created this amazing sticky glaze on the wings. Burger and fries & the chicken nachos were only $10 and the wings were 20 for $25, talk about a steal. Shoutout to both the bartenders that gave excellent attentive service especially the woman with the glasses. (Forgive me for not remember her name) Looking forward to trying more!

If you are under 5'3 even if you're an adult, you are not allowed to ride the go karts. I'm 24 and my mother is 46. We are not allowed to ride. Another grown adult woman with a child was not allowed to ride. If you are coming here for them don't spend your money.

Automatic gratuities for just buying a race is bullshit. So is keeping the kids slow for two of the laps when they only get 5 minutes. It was kinda a rip off...even the food sucked. Do not recommend. No wonder the place was empty. You should have good deals on the weekends just as well as the weekday deals.

This is our second visit and much better than the first. Not that the first wasn't good, it just wasn't great. Starting with the staff on our recent visit: Jayden and Mordy (Morty?) were so very nice, helpful, and patient during our axe throwing escapades and were great to talk to during and after. Myla, in the laser tag area, was hilarious, helpful, and fun, despite it being fairly late by the time we got to her we never felt rushed or like an imposition. Customer service is such a big deal in places like this and this past weekend, the service rose to the occasion. Elev8 is a fun place but that does rely very heavily on a great team. The bartender (Terri, I believe) was very nice as were the people running bowling and the 4D experience. The only negative we had were some of the customers. Many lack boundaries or control of their children but there isn't much the staff can do about that.

It's a great place for older kids. They have lots of arcade games. We weren't able to do the go carts or laser tags since all our kids are under 6. But the little ones had some fun running around. We did eat and the food was surprisingly good! We had the kids chicken tenders, kids sliders, kids Mac n cheese with edamame. We also had the guacamole and chips, Caesar salad with chicken and onion rings. The guacamole was made from chunks of guacamole. The kids food was really good. The chicken tenders were crispy and tender. The chicken in the Caesar salad was a little tough. But it all tasted good. Our server was great, she tried to help us best she could with our strange requests. And the place was clean and not too crowded. It's a good place to spend a couple hours with older kids.

This is hands down the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Giving it a one star is generous bc 0 isn't an option. I looked for California pizza kitchen and this place supposedly has one but it is doing the main restaurant a disservice to be giving people food. The pizza is as good as chewing cardboard. The only good thing about this experience was the lovely delivery driver, otherwise, hands down the worst food I have ever put inside my body I would never wish this upon my worst enemy. Do bette

If you wanna have a great fun night with friends and family this place is for you. It's my second time visiting Elev8 and it's always a great plan. They have a great variety of games for any age range. My favorites are the mini golf and the GoKarts racing. They also offer food and drinks inside. A perfect plan for Friday night!

    Celebrating my cousins birthday
    Melissa K.

We went for my cousin's birthday and had a great time. We ended up doing a bundle deal with pick 3 task for less than $50 / pp. We ended up doing Go-Kart, Lazer Tag & virtual 7D interactive ride. Overall everyone had a great time.

This indoor arcade is an absolute blast from start to finish! There's truly something for everyone -- a thrilling ropes course, an exciting zip line, fast go-karts, mini golf, a super immersive VR game, and more arcade games than you could possibly play in one visit. The variety keeps the energy high and makes it perfect for groups, families, or even date nights. The bar and café are a great bonus -- whether you want a quick snack, a coffee, or something stronger, you can refuel without missing the action. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and staffed by friendly, helpful people who make sure you're having a great time. Between the attractions, the food, and the upbeat atmosphere, this place is more than just an arcade -- it's an all-in-one entertainment destination. I'll be coming back for another round (or three) of fun! FYI THEY DO NOT TAKE CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brought the kiddos here to try the place out. Located in the old Sears location of Citrus Park Mall. This place is 2 floors and huge! Game packages available. They have a rope course that goes out into the mall! Eatery on-site also but pricey. Bottled water is cheaper if you go to the candy shop right outside Elev8. It does get really crowded so keep that in mind when planning your trip. Kiddos enjoyed their time here and really that's all that counts.

We were trying to make it to the Gasparilla Children's Parade, but to our dismay, the Jolley Trolley was completely full by the time it passed through Ybor. So GameTime was an appealing Plan B. It has a TON of interactive arcade games, mini-bowling (which we did not do), and a restaurant/sports bar with plenty of TVs. Like other arcade places, GameTime is a popular venue for hosting kids' birthday parties; or you can just grab a game card, load it with $$ and receive credits with which you can play games. They offer timed play (e.g. $25 for 1 hour with 500 fixed e-tickets for prize redemption), or you can choose to purchase a reloadable card where you decide how much money you want to spend and you accrue tickets as you play/win. We loaded our card with $25 which yielded 100 credits. Optionally, you can load a custom amount and receive 4 credits for every dollar. With our four-year-old, we blew through the $25 pretty fast and ended up adding another $25 (giving us a total of 200 credits). If we had just loaded the card with $50 initially, we would have had 25 more credits (225). Overall, I would say value is pretty par for the course. The prize counter is where I felt they were lacking (compared to Main Event and other names in the industry). The games were fun and only a handful were not working or malfunctioned. That did not deter us as the place was pretty dead that afternoon.

When we walked in, someone greeted us, but they didn't really understand what we were there for. After being passed around by several folks, they finally guided us to the correct area, where we were given wristbands, and they explained the process. We were given two players cards that allowed us to play on red or blue games, and told that there was a buffet in another room that was only available for another hour, so we went to check it out. Highly disappointing. There were sliders with too hard buns, lukewarm beans, room temperature potato salad, and bbq chicken thighs. While my girl opted to try everything, I had 2 pieces of chicken and that was it. Drinks were included, but not alcoholic, so we ordered two off menu drinks (we wanted mules but they were out of ginger beer), then we headed to the gaming floor. Not only was it overcrowded, but the games were not fun at all. They had a lot of games that either catered more towards younger children, or just didn't work. We spent maybe 20-30 minutes wandering around, before we called it quits. D&B used to be a great date night spot, but it definitely needs a revamp. More classic games for the clientele would be great. It just gave the energy of a fairing Chuck E. Cheese. It was weird.
