I came across many different artists online, but Sri's portfolio immediately stood out. His photography style is artistic, natural, and unique--nothing felt overly posed or awkward. I was already approaching my third trimester, so time was limited. Thankfully, Sri responded quickly and guided me through the entire process. He explained what to bring, what to expect, and assured me that most of the wardrobe and accessories would be available at the studio. We scheduled the shoot two weeks later with Sri and his talented makeup artist, Laura. When I arrived, I was nervous and unsure, but those feelings quickly disappeared. Both Sri and Laura made me feel completely at ease. Laura styled my hair into soft waves and gave my skin a beautiful, radiant glow, while Sri patiently walked me through the session step-by-step. Sri has an incredible eye for detail and a clear passion for his craft. He was attentive, energetic, and never rushed the process. That day, the photographer's assistant (his fiancee) was taking part of the party as if she was a guest! She helped herself to dinner, dessert, took dessert to go, and even took advantage of the cocktails/open bar!! Later in the night, my niece told me that some of the poses the photographer made her do with her "chambelanes" were a bit uncomfortable (having the boys lift her & hold her from her butt, while she was wearing a mini-skirt), and that she expressed that she was not too happy with the pose, only to have the photographer continue to ask for versions of that pose. After the cotillion, 3 mo. later in SEPT, the photos were not Online, as promised. My sis-in-law (mom of the quinceanera) called Michael's Photography several times, only to receive vague answers. She came to a point where she seriously thought MP had LOST her pics!! She finally decided to stop by the venue, in order to find out what exactly was going on, and was told her that her pics weren't lost, but that they would be uploaded asap. Fine. It passed. However, here is MY experience... I ordered the pics I wanted Online. on OCT 18. I received a confirmation in my email w/my order, and my balance of $31.50 that same day. Sweet, I thought to myself... NOV 20th came along, and I hadn't received my pics, MORE THAN A MONTH LATER! ... I called spoke to Ana, and she told me there had been some issues with Online orders, so I gave her my order #, JPG #s for the pics I ordered, pic sizes, etc. She said I would get a call back Monday the 22nd... Obviously, that didn't happen, so at around 12pm I called MP again. This time Luis answered, gave me the same story about how their system had crashed, and how some guy who ran things had quit. Okay, I told him, I thought someone would call me as promised. Well, Ana doesn't come in 'till later in the afternoon. Great, why didn't she tell me that when I talked to her?! Anyway, let me talk to the manager, I asked. Well, he's out of the office until... ALRIGHT. I want my pics already!! NOV 23rd came & I was charged $31.50 for the pics. A MONTH AND A HALF LATER I WAS CHARGED FOR MY PICS!!!! ... No one bothered to give me a call, and ask if it was okay to charge me... to check if I had $$$ in the bank! What if my account was overdrawn?! ... The LEAST they could have done was NOT CHARGE ME for the pics!!!! DEC 4th, I receive the pics in the mail!!! Thank goodness there's a higher being, if not, I would've never received the pics!!! DEC 8th, is today, and I have YET to receive an apology, or a phone call following up with my order or my customer satisfaction. NEEDLESS TO SAY-- I WAS COMPLETELY UNHAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICES. **Follow-up** About a mo. later after receiving the pics I ordered, I was charged AGAIN!! I called MP, and they said they could only give me more pics. UGHHH, Seriously?!? ... Two wks. later I got my 2nd batch of pics... A mo. later, MP closed for business... Hmm. wonder why??

I'm in love with her photos. She's a great person to boot- really a pleasure to work with personally and professionally. Katie took puppy pics of my Boxer, Lucy, a couple months ago. Everyone loves the pics, and I get compliments on them all the time. As my family grows, I know Katie will be my go-to gal to capture all the milestones. That, and the fact that I'm cheap and didn't think it would be worth spending money on pro pictures that I could "take myself," made me really leery on hiring anyone- which is why it took me nearly a year to do so! Boy was I dumb! From the moment Katie Ryan entered my home, I was not one bit disappointed. Quite the contrary! I remember thinking, almost instantly, how I wished we would've hired Katie Ryan Photography for more photo shoots rather than just our baby's one year photos!!
