Veronica is the real deal, kids. For years I had been following a master loctician on Instagram, located in Sweden. I was so in love with her style I was going to book a flight to her to have her give my locs a major makeover. My hair had become stringy and the locs were gunked up with all kinds of products I was using. I emailed her to discuss my options she told me that she had trained a girl in California and to reach out to her as she had full faith in her ability to achieve the look I was going for. Without hesitation I called Veronica and set up a consultation. We immediately clicked as her demeanor is so relaxed and relatable. During that consultation she noticed right away that my previous loctician had used synthetic hair. Since she does not like to use synthetic hair, she brushed out the old hair and replaced it with 100% real hair and I noticed the difference right away! I would have never known otherwise. She also gave me great information on how to properly take care of my locs, with natural products, eliminating all the crap that I was previously ruining my hair with. Diosa has been my go to girl now for almost 2 years and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my beautiful locs. Veronica flat out refused to wear a mask during our session She asked me to meet her at her house rather than the salon. She pushed back the time the morning of, which was no big deal. I showed up at her home and was greeted at the door with no mask. I stepped in and there were two other people (family/roommates) walking around in a very small space. She pointed at a chair. I asked her if it's possible for people to wear masks and she said no. I told her it was important for me and pointed at my pregnant belly (preg women are considered "high risk"). She gave me a, "Yeah, sorry". I asked her if there was another room we could go into and was told, "Yeah, no sorry." I offered for us to go outside and she looked out the window with a grimace and said "Err, it's kinda cold out. I don't really want to be out there." I told her I didn't really either but could not do this without masks and pointed again at my belly. She said, "Yeah, sorry. You should've mentioned that over the phone." I said I thought it was understood because this was a business transaction. She just shrugged at me. I told her it took me 40 minutes to drive here and she showed me the door. I could not believe how rude she was . This is not a "hangout", I am paying you for a service. And to flat out refuse to wear a mask, not to mention without asking me if I have been sick or anything, is extremely unprofessional. I was scheduled for a 3 hour session and was expected to sit in a room with unknown people walking around with no way to socially distance. Wouldn't even put a mask on herself. I get you are in your own home, but to not be willing to wear a mask at the request of a pregnant lady feels so unkind. I wanted to cry when I got back to my car and regret not telling this woman how rude she was. I was so excited to meet her and get my hair worked on and it was the first time I had booked anything for myself in months. Broke my heart. read more

Diosa is one lovely human being. She fixed up my dreads that haven't been had maintenance in over a year. I had shopped around for dreadlocks artists and even had other people recommend me other locticians. But I just got a really good vibe from Diosa when we spoke and I decided to go with her. She really knows what she's doing and told me that my dreads were over worked from when the original girl made my dreadlocks 4 years ago. I have been going to this talented woman for almost a year and started my journey with her. She is kind, patient, calm and can fix any hair emergency. I am very picky with my hair and going from a pixie cut to full on long real hair extensions. I have an undercut and still have a full head of locks! Review time, not my style but needs to be done...this word comes to mind the strongest..Fake: not genuine; counterfeit, shame,fraud...just a few of its friends listed as well. This is what DiosaDreads is all about it seems. Long story short, stay away. I went to DiosaDreads to get my hair done after seeing some of her work and seeing her teachers work, we talked via text a lil, I was sure this would be good. I was wrong, WAY wrong. Not only was she unprofessional, she runs her business out of an apartment complex with no professional accommodations for the paying client, saw no business license, nothing but a chair in the kitchen..This should have been a big sign. She also didn't discuss layout or anything, she just went to work making dreads...now fast forward 6 months, Well after having a feeling that my hair maybe maturing wrong, bad layout and just unhappy overall with my hair from DiosaDreads, i reached out to see if my hella scratchy dreads could be saved, i was told nope and to live with it!! - this from a professional who i might as well add already did a crown re-do cuz she originally made my pattern on my head to big in size and CHARGED me for the re-work. At this point i had enough and switched locticians. Remeber folks I paid for 2 sittings with DiosaDreads already to get my hair somewhat decent and now all of it to be ripped out and redone. I found a person with many many more years of actual experience and closer to home! Score! BUT come to find out my extensions i paid 450 bucks to get my hair length back when DiosaDreads did my hair, they will never get better because they are FAKE!!!! and a kicker, a technique not meant for my hair type, no wonder ALL the dye came out leaving me with Ombré (also not what i wanted) and why it is scratchy as hell. I was informed it was because the extension hair was synthetic, aka fake, she spoke with another loctician to confirm, and she agreed once she saw my photos. All because DiosaDreads is cheap and unprofessional. I learned I am not the first person to come out of DiosaDreads with these problems and both locticians have had to fix her work. DiosaDreads never consulted on pattern or size in PERSON (she does it via text) Nothing to see what the customer is happy or wants. In all I was lied to, had my hard earned money taken, giving a shitty product that was even redone (i even paid for the redo) once already and still shitty, I now have to remove and replace all my Dreads!!! Over $2300, 6months of care, 32 hours in the chair, all this invested that goes in the trash, literally, they will be cut off and thrown away and start over. Stay away from Diosadreads. Do your research, talk talk talk to people, have consults, pay for there time to give you what you want, just pay it, it's worth it, there are great locticians all around us, avoid my mistake! read more
