I naturally have natural blonde roots and grays, both I love and wished my previous stylist embraced that versus always telling I HAD to dye it to cover it all up. :( I kept asking for a base bump but it never happened. When I met Cristy for a consultation I told her my situation and how I am tired of dying my base. She totally agreed with me and knew exactly how to remedy the situation. She looked at my eye color and my skin tone and decided on exactly what blonde tones would be best for me. I should mention I had 4 months of growth at this point. So my natural roots were ALL out, baby! haha! I had a mess in the back as well with a hard copper band and only partial highlights. Ugh! It wasn't pretty. But Cristy cleaned all that up as well. He's also really hard to read...and so nervous about getting his haircut I had to go first (and yes, Jo is great... but I don't have nearly half the amount of hair he has and I'm not a teenager...sometimes I see something and I think it looks good and he's assures me it has no riz). So we are about halfway thru the haircut, like, a big hunk of length is gone and he turns to me and mouths "OMG," so I give him the ??? And he give me the look that all is well. He walked out of there straight-faced because that's what cool kids do, then turns to me and says, "I look good!!!" There may have been a Vogue pose or two. That is an amazing compliment to Jo's talent coming from a quiet, lowkey kid. He does look good. To the point, I drove 5 hours to ensure I was doing what was best for my hair. Due to scheduling conflicts, they had to switch stylists. Within the first day of installation, I had K-tips coming out. I approached the salon about the issue. They took several days to get back to me. Even though they were aware I was not local. By this time, I had more than 10 K-tips fall out. When I met with the stylist, there was little to no accountability, and she said that she would contact the owner. I contacted the salon on Friday and heard nothing until midday on Sunday, and I was the one who sent the follow-up text.They said it was my brushing. I had no contact from the owner- or solutions sent to me. I would've expected a more timely response and better education with how much I paid. Since then, I have switched to brushing exactly how the stylist recommended (from a video taken after their resolution), and they continue to fall out. The hair knots easily, and no matter how much conditioner I use at the ends, they slip out, and the knots stay. Tonight, I had 5 k-tips slide out after brushing it very delicately. I would not recommend this salon purely due to their lack of accountability, their unwillingness to fix issues, and that they will not resolve things in a timely manner even when they know you are from out of town. I was so excited as a paramedic student to have extensions that would hold up to my job- yet they can't even hold up to normal daily tasks. She didn't use those super hot irons that are in the oven like I'm used to to tame my hair; just a blow dryer and flat iron (WAY better for my hair).
