Let me start by saying--these crawfish do NOT play! If I had a sinus infection, it would've been cured on the spot. The spice was bold, intense, and full of that signature Gulf Coast flavor. Last year, I proudly named Mudbugs my pick for the Best Crawfish in Mobile, and to be fair, they're still holding it down when it comes to juiciness, flavor, and size this season. That said, I have to talk about quality and cleanliness. I pulled way too much seagrass out of my bag, and I had five straight tails (if you know, you know)--which usually means they were dead before boiling. For this price point and reputation, I expect better attention to detail. My Breakdown: * Flavor & Size: 5/5 * Cleanliness & Quality: 2/5 Still love the flavor and the heat, but consistency matters. I'll definitely be back--but I'm hoping next time I won't have to sort through seaweed and dead crawfish. read more

I always stop here when my family and I came down for Mardi Gras. We got 20 lbs. of crawfish and they were amazing! They have a nice selection of all different kinds of seafood as well I got there just right after they opened and the lobby was full of people. This place never disappoints. read more

I place my order to go I ordered Gumbo They only put in Shrimps If I wanted Shrimp Gumbo I would have ordered that I also ordered the flounder meal It was not seasoned The batter tasted floury And I ordered 1 meal with side of okra and and 1 meal with side of Fries When I got home I discovered they gave me French Fries on both orders Very Disappointed!!! read more

I ordered 160 pounds of crawfish two days in advance to be prepared by a specific time. I spent $800.00 and when I arrived the employees had never heard of the order and it obviously was not prepared. The crawfish were for an event and I had to wait over an hour for them to cook them new. It made me late for the event they were ordered for. I would hope spending that kind of money on an order would result in a bit more attention. Pretty disappointing. read more

I'm from California and road tripped to Alabama/Louisiana. Had crawfish from Louisiana and at this place in Alabama and this place was literally the BEST CRAWFISH I've had and sausages too. This was so fresh and tasty, with a bit of spice but it was AMAZING. I usually don't like sausages but I ate like a whole sausage. The sausage was juicy, thick, and BUSSIN with flavor. The price is extremely reasonable considering how fresh and amazing it is. We got the 50 lbs deal with crawfish, corn, potatoes, and sausages. Came during a time where the wait was not bad at all, literally got in, waited about 3 minutes and was helped by a really kind person! They helped us and answered all our questions. Came by here with my Parents while they were visiting Mobile because we were all craving a good Poboy. The portions are great and I was very pleased. My father and I both got a fried shrimp Poboy which was packed full of shrimp and I could not eat all of mine. My mother got the fish Poboy which was not lacking in anyway. The bread was good buttery and crispy. There is not much sitting in here and there's a great fish-market next-door that does have quite the smell but it didn't really bother any of us. We must of been hungry enough to keep on keeping on. The one thing that I was surprised about was that they did not serve french fries. Who makes Poboy's and doesn't have french fries? It worked out though because I would not have been able to eat them. I'll be back for more. read more

Nice local seafood market with fresh fish, shrimp and crawfish. Cooked crawfish were perfectly boiled and steeped with a nice medium spice to fit most tastes. (I prefer hotter but most don't). No tables for eating there so this is a market and takeout only. read more

This place is the bomb!!! Their crawfish/mudbugs are as fresh as they get ... & large too! You can also get snow crabs, blue crabs, fish filets/whole fish, and wild caught shrimp! I just happen to find this place on the way back home from a mini road trip and would highly recommend to anyone. I will definitely be stopping by whenever in Mobile, AL! Went to pick up catfish fillets and only one 1/2 fillets on display waited 45 minutes before I finally got someone's attention. Asked about the fillets he went to the back 3 times before came back to tell me it would be over 2 hours before they would have any. Mudbugs has the art of fresh delicious seafood down. Much like the previous reviewer, I love getting crawfish by the pound here whenever I am home in Alabama. I have been to places all over Mobile where the seasoning on the crawfish is sub-par and leaves you disappointed. That is not the case at Mudbugs! Their crawfish are "suck the heads" good (yup, you read that right!). In addition to the crawfish I often get fresh shrimp,crab and fish from Mudbugs as well as the proper seasonings to cook them in. Though they do get busy, its just a sign of how awesome they are. read more

The best crawfish you will ever get in the Mobile area by far. Sometimes they run out of crawfish by mid day because they are simply that good. When you order cooked crawfish by the pound, my number one pet peeve is picking up dead crawfish. But here, I honestly think they make an effort to remove the dead ones. The business has the season and flavoring down to a "T". It's also the cleanest seafood shop I have ever been it. That's always a plus. At times they are so busy that you have to pull a number and wait to be called. This place has a great fish market with an attached restaurant next door. I ate at the attached restaurant not knowing what to expect an was surprised. I enjoyed the seafood here much more than the local felix place, I'd recommend the poboy crawfish sandwich or the steamed crab fingers. The snow crab is great too. The service was nice and the people working were very kind an courteous. I'm planning on stopping here next time I'm visiting mobile. My only complaint is they need to add more tables/increase in size. read more

I'm from MS and lives in TX. I was a happy camper when I visited this place. We had 20lbs of crawfish and shrimp that was of nice size and seasoned with lots of flavor. I must say I was impressed.
