Heads and shoulders above other "big box" pharmacies in the local area. I was honestly impressed with how thorough, polite and speedy they were when it came to filling a couple of prescriptions recently. My husband suffered a foot injury recently and rather than have the prescriptions automatically sent to Meijer or Wal-Green's as usual, we took a chance and had the prescriptions printed out and I took them here because it's very close to home and my husband was in too much pain to be bothered to wait around for a long time to get his order filled. I left him in the car and took his ID and insurance card and they processed everything expediently and courteously. I was impressed by their level of service. Everything was organized, displays were neat, service was both courteous and prompt, the pharmacy techs were helpful, etc. The store also carries a decent variety of vitamins/supplements and OTC medications as well, all carrying reasonable price tags. I had never been in this pharmacy before, so going in was sort of a craps shoot, but I left as a new customer. True, they aren't open 24/7, but their business hours suffice for the most part. I'm planning to transfer my prescriptions over to Diplomat Pharmacy in the near future. I'm over "big box" pharmacies because all you get is a major headache and a long wait. read more

My dog food arrives with greater regularity. Month after month ,. Service associate after service associate and supervisor after supervisor these people CANNOT be trusted to shipped monthly $25,000.00 medication on schedule. The worst communication and when you remind them of a shipment date they "yes" you to death then hang up and it's forgotten. Got a call 3pm on a Saturday from a Diplomat Pharmacy saying that I owed them $3k. I don't know about you but I don't just whip out the credit card to pay people on unsolicited phone calls. Monday my doctor calls to cancel appointment for this medication because it was not delivered. Not a shock but had I paid on Saturday doubt it would have made it in time. Insurance confirmed they are using Diplomat and remaining amount of Copay, which matches Saturday's quote. Call Diplomat and was told need to apply for a copay card, I do not have a copay but agent won't process claim till I do it. I call give info and they need to call my Doctor and insurance and call me back. Imaginary Sponge Bob's 2 hours later Montage. All is set I call back to pay Diplomat rep. They say Visa or MasterCard? I reply "how much" After listening to agent breathe and make typing noises I am quoted an additional $1700. Which exceeds my total yearly Copay. I mentioned this and was (incorrectly) given an impromptu tutorial on how copays work. I hung up and let my blood pressure settle 4pm I call back. This agent takes copay card info. Recalculated an even higher price. What the he'll what's another $211.70 between friends. So I call my insurance who made calls to fix all. Next day I call Diplomat back and make payment. It was 20 cents more than the insurance said, but the hell with it I pay and we are all happy. They said they will schedule a delivery with doctors office. Call doctors office and told them all is well. NOPE! Get a call two days later. Recording tells me to wait for next available agent. My call is important to them blah blah blah. Or press one for call back. 20 minutes later.... I gave up press 1 my time is obviously lass important than theirs. IF YOU CALL ME BE READY TO TALK TO A PERSON!!!! About an hour later I get a call back asking why I called? I dunno you tell me. Play this game for awhile and find out they are having delivery issues. I call Doctor yet again to have them call. Again. After 4 days of grief and elevated blood pressure it is taken care of..... maybe... Asked my insurance to get a new pharmacy. Slid you read this, ask yours! read more

Try to avoid Diplomat if you have other choices. When they are late filling a prescription they will blame the delay on everybody else except themselves. My doctor has even advised that I switch my specialty pharmacy because they (the doctor's office staff) spend so much time repeatedly transmitting the same refill order. They use 5 or 6 standard excuses on a monthly basis of why they cannot fill my prescription. In the end it boils down to simple poor management, poor communication, overworked staff, and outright lies to cover their shortcomings at Diplomat Pharmacy. It's no wonder that their stock price plummeted to near zero in October and they got bought by United Health for pennies on the dollar in December. Performance hasn't improved as a result of the buyout though. read more

Pleasantly surprised at the level of service here. They definitely had the personal touch. They filled my prescriptions fast , which is what I wanted. No hassles, which is different than the average pharmacy. My co-pays were no different than any other store. I don't think they have a rewards program like other larger pharmacies, though based on their personable, quick service, I don't think that should be a real problem. Hire people with this fake front that they are an established organization, when in fact, they keep faking it until the organization finally collapsed. The high employee turnover due to bad business and poor employee treatment should have been an embarassment for them, but instead they kept pushing forward, hiring the wrong people for administrative roles and getting rid of good employees. Well Diplomat, what goes around comes around, and finally you got it but good in the end! Hopefully Optum RX can straighten out the problems and shortcomings you created on your "building" a better pharmacy. What an embarassment for Phil Hagerman to have worked so hard and long with his father to build an empire, only to see it fall. That's what happens when you put friends in the C-Suite. The people that work at Diplomat are very nice, however, since we need to get cancer infusion medication filled every 3 weeks, being nice is simply not enough. For several of our appts, there were several issues with the RX all having to do with the inefficiency of Diplomat. This last time, I was told it was because two separate depts were handling the RX and neither knew what the other was doing....it just goes on and on and if it wasn't for me checking constantly to make sure we will have the needed medication, it would have been disastrous.Also every single time I call, even if it's to talk to a specific person that was already helping me, I am put on hold for an unreasonable amount of time. Could you at least offer extensions to supervisors and managers????? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Diplomat, get your act together!!!! People are really counting on you!!!!!!!!! read more

To the tune of the Eagles song....THERE'S A NEW SCAM IN TOWN. How's this? Try getting a refill on a $10,000 a month targeted therapy drug. They bill insurance but don't actually send the medication. You call them to send it but they won't because insurance won't cover another refill. Around and around we go. Hours upon hours of being passed off on the phone and endless wait times on hold. I'm done trying. I'll switch to another specialty pharmacy and go the month without. read more

I have been waiting for my cancer medication for a week. I was supposed to start it on Jan 1. I call and call and cant talk to the same person twice. Finally today they told me my insurance company was holding it up. I called my insurance company and was told that Diplomat is filling out the form incorrectly. My insurance company gave me number to call for their department that teaches pharmacies how to submit prior authorizations. Really? read more

Miserable! Been trying to get my chemo meds from UPS for 2 days. We stay home and they leave a note on the back door saying no one was home to sign. Diplomat was supposed to send it with no signature required. I have been on the phone on hold for hours trying to reach Diplomat, listening to their irritating canned music. I need to get a UPS tracking number from them. No answer, no answer, no answer. Will I ever get my meds? Who knows. At least Diplomat will get their money; that's all they care about. read more

This so-called specialty pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. For cancer patients like myself, who require special medication by mail, I would recommend that they look elsewhere especially if their insurance allows them to. As far as I can tell, this company is in chaos. Either there is no business plan, or no adherence to an existing one. Employees are too poorly trained and so aloof, it is basically impossible to even get an automatic refill. Try calling them? Good luck with that. Infinite hold. There is an option to have them call you back. Don't hold your breath. Mind you, Imbruvica, a targeted therapy medication, is a $10,000 a month bonanza. You'd think profit from this would motivate someone to get off their ass. Think again. Now I have to go back to my doc, get a new prescription and pray that my insurance company will allow me to transfer the script somewhere else. All this while I run out of the medication that has been keeping me alive. Don't put your life in their hands. You have been warned. read more

Worst pharmacy/customer service I have ever received. This place is an absolute shit show. I have been trying FOR FIVE MONTHS to have my prescription refilled and it STILL hasn't happened. FIVE MONTHS!!!!!!!!!! I finally decided today to go to another pharmacy and pay out of pocket for my prescriptions just so I don't have to deal with these incompetent idiots anymore. I love this place!! Great customer service and even better people. Even the security guard is great the one that has been there forever they are all friendly. The only reason I would give it 4 stars is because they are kind of slower then most pharmacies but either then that great place read more
