12/20/2021 LATER UPDATE - when my mother finally received her items, the TV was shattered. The owner (Diego) was very quick to respond to me and replaced her TV with a brand new one. This whole process took entirely too long and was not organized. But they did do what they could to make the situation better. I encourage you to ask TONS of questions up front and get a direct answer. For example...when will my items be delivered. LATER UPDATE: As my mom has begun unpacking, her TV is completely shattered. Some items got brought to her that are not hers. So someone somewhere is missing items. This has not been a good experience at all. Come on people. Just simply do your jobs. Geesh! Liars and jerks. Don't let their kind responses to all of the reviews on here fool you. The actual movers themselves did a good job, but corporate promised numerous times over the phone that pickup would be a day before they actually came. The people in corporate knew this was impossible as the truck that came for our move was in Atlanta for a job the morning our move was scheduled in Florida (we did not know this until our driver told us he was leaving from Atlanta at 2pm) but corporate still promised that they would be there early in the morning the night before. They lied straight to our face. They knew they had a move in a city 6 hours away for that morning but withheld that information and then to our face said pickup would be between 8am-12pm and would put in the notes to the driver to try to arrive closer to 8am. We had to leave several things behind because of the delay as well as book hotels. Once at the drop off site, one of the owners (Diego) told my mother to **** off and have our stuff dropped off at a storage unit if we didn't pay the last installment that second. They will tell you she didn't speak to him, but he was on speaker phone with the driver and she interjected to ask for some compensation or at least an apology since it was a hassle to get some type of management on the phone. After finally getting someone from the corporate side on the phone, they offered to take $650 off but only after threatening to take them to arbitration (they have to attend arbitration for claims under $10,000). Keep in mind we had to leave over $2500 worth of stuff behind because we weren't able to get an appropriate sized U-Haul to get the rest of our belongings because of the delay. $650 off an almost $15,000 move is laughable. It's less than 5%. And another lie. They promised 4 movers. Only 2 were scheduled by the company. Luckily the two movers were able to book additional movers through U-haul move themselves to help out (I know it was through U-Haul because I overheard them give a code which is used when booking loading help through U-Haul), but the promise of 4 movers was yet another lie. At least this one was only a partial lie since the second day of pickup there was extra help thanks to our moving team, NOT corporate. I would recommend just about any other moving company if you are on any kind of tight schedule. They will make promises that they knowingly cannot keep to gain your business and then make it a hassle to get in touch with them when you need them. I know we aren't the only ones as the people scheduled to have the team we had after us was told the same thing and they're going to have an even larger delay than we had. 10/10 do not recommend. The sad thing is had they not been jerks over the whole thing, I would let it go but the lies and complete rudeness towards my mother when being called out on their lies is totally unacceptable. read more

Honestly, I'm just so incredibly let down by DRS. As a military family, we have been through a lot, but I really expected better from this company. Is this really the way they treat military folks? Instead of fixing their mistakes, they just played games with me, calling only because they wanted me to adjust my reviews. It is exhausting. We actually sat down, went through the finances together, and dialed back our overcharges to $2,004.91. Then, we even agreed to a deeply compromised, minimal replacement cost of just $5,000 to repurchase our lost or stolen belongings. What hurts the most is that many of those items were irreplaceable handmade quilts, plus vintage CorningWare and kitchen items I bought back in the 1970s. DON"T USE THEM! My already stressful situation was made worse by this company. Especially by Diego the owner/manager. When you get a call from them they are super professional and answer all your questions. They have you triple check all your items to provide an accurate quote. There were many calls about my inventory. Paul (the person whom I made initial contact with) even had me count boxes to ensure i was getting as accurate of a quote as possible. They stated they provided 30 days of free storage so when I was ready with the new address to let them know and it would be delivered no problem. Like its no big deal. They made me feel comfortable like it was all taken care of and i dont need to worry. BIG LIE!!!!!!!! When I called to notify them of my new address and move in date I was then told to send an email with the new information and inform them of my first available delivery date. This was new to me because at no time during the calls I had with Paul was I told that and the movers that picked up the items never told me that. But I did it anyway. Its an email so okay. Two business days later I call to find out an update. My items were never shipped out and Diego, started telling me that I was told by Paul that it could take any where from 2 to 14 business days of arrival of my items. Not true. I challenged him on this. Not only did he continue to argue with me he was caught in a bold face lie when he told me that he has the call recorded and I encouraged him to call me back after he listens to it. He argued that he didn't have to because AI pulled up the call. As I insisted that he listen to the call he stated that he had. I called him out quickly because he has just stated that he didn't have to because of AI. He then proceeds to imply that im stupid by asking me what would I have done if my items have gotten there soon to my new address? I explained i would have put it in storage. Then what? He asks I would have hired local movers/handyman to move it into the unit, I replied. Well then why didn't you do that he said? BECAUSE YOUR OFFICE NEVER TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE THIS LONG!!!!! I told him im not stupid and if I would have known I absolutely would have made arrangements and figured it out. In the end, I had to end the call because of how rude and disrespectful he was to me. Responsive. Communicated. Pickup guys were great. Now, the bad part - delivering my furniture. Didn't hear anything for weeks. Called. Email. Kept getting the run around. It wasn't until I came on here that everyone said contact Diego. I did. He wasn't aware of any of my issues, he's like I'll help, but it's still three weeks now and I have zero updates if my furniture is in a facility, in a truck, on its way, no idea. They act as though your items are on the next truck out (in fact, I was told that 3 times -each time a week apart) when in fact, it sits in a warehouse somewhere. When I received my items, they smelled musty. And there is no communication unless you call them. Twice when I called Diego about the progress of getting my items on a truck, he said that Maria from the office would get back to me by the end of the day. It never happened. My stuff was picked up April 21st and not delivered until May 29th. One more day and they would have had to pay me $30/day for being late according to the contract. One of my cabinets arrived with tiny holes in the doors, the shelves falling out and the back pieces off. The drawer was off its rails, and it is not usable. I'm sure any claim will take longer than it did to receive my items. They tell you what you want to hear but then they do not follow up. DO NOT BOTHER TO USE THEM! This company caused months of stress, confusion, and financial loss. Our move was scheduled for August 1, yet our furniture did not arrive until the end of September. Nearly two months passed with zero communication, and at times we genuinely did not know where our entire household was. Over the course of three months, we logged 45 phone calls (only 4 were ever answered). We also sent 27 emails, of which only 3 received responses when they had the word 'legal' in the email. The level of noncommunication was beyond negligent. When we attempted to locate our things, we were repeatedly told the truck had "broken down." At one point, we were told the truck was in a repair facility for two weeks, yet two different employees told us it was located in two completely different cities. Meanwhile, four people in the office admitted they could not tell us where the truck was at all meaning no one could tell us where everything we owned was. We called the facility that our AirTag said it was located at and he was the only guy who was able to tell us what was wrong with the truck and the exact location of the truck, and this guy didn't even work for the moving company. We didn't research to find out who we could call based on what our AirTag was telling us The only reason we had any idea where our things were was because we had placed AirTags inside multiple pieces of furniture. Without those AirTags, we would have had absolutely no way of knowing where our items were. Even more alarming, the AirTag directly contradicted what we were being told by the company about where the truck was. The problems began immediately. On our original pickup date, no one showed up and no one contacted us to say the pickup was canceled. I had to call the next day to find out what happened - there was no after hours service. One employee said there was a truck issue; another later said there was no truck issue at all and that they were simply behind on another job in a different city. The stories constantly changed. When our things finally arrived, they were damaged and incomplete. We are missing one entire box, had two broken lamps, two broken pieces of furniture, and there was sticky liquid spilled all over our electronics, causing further damage and concern. We reported the company to the Better Business Bureau. I lost three years off of my life. do not fall for the good pricing compared to other companies. If you were thinking, this move might be better than other peoples experiences - You are wrong. At all costs do not use this company. My sales representative's name was Richard, and I could never get a hold of him. They promised me that they could move it. Do NOT use this company. They are full of lies and they don't care about the customers. They turned an already stressful event into a total nightmare. From beginning to end of the move, I was lied to. Pick up day, I waited and waited only to be told after 7 pm that the truck broke down and they cancelled the move. I was rescheduled and given a time from 8-12 pm. I had to reach out to them again after 12 only to hear additional lies. After finally picking up my furniture, I was then informed that my belongings were going to a warehouse until they get enough moves to actually make my delivery. I expressed my concerns to Diego who supposedly sent an email stating that we were ready to be delivered. Mindful, I was assured by Jeremiah that they made weekly trips to TX and that I would receive my furniture in a matter of days. Jeremiah also assured me that Direct Relocation Services was not a broking company and that they would personally handle my move from beginning to end which was a lie. During this time, I made several calls to get updates and clarifications. At this point, I was then ignored. I left messages for Maria, Jeremiah and Diego and have yet to receive a return call from either one of them. When I was finally able to speak to the employees, all of them were very sarcastic and always had a smart comment to share, including the owner/manager Diego. After 10 working days of picking up my furniture, I was then informed by the moving company that Direct Relocation Services hired that it would be an additional $550 because the 18 wheeler that they used could not come close enough to actually move me. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I wish we had vetted this company before we moved but we were in a time crunch. Avoid this moving company at all costs. It is a scam. They are extremely kind and understanding when you first speak to them but the moment they receive money, this company showed its true colors. They are unreliable and lie. They will give you a quote and then double it when they arrive. We were told our move would be 4k and then on the day they moved our stuff out it was 8k due to "needing more space". However The truck already had another client's items. We were moved out on a Saturday and were told by the rep and the driver that our stuff would be delivered that Monday. On Monday it was radio silence and no one would answer their phone. We emailed and called several times. We had to speak to the supervisor to get our stuff delivered and threaten to report them to BBB (business of Bureau). The truck that delivered our times was much smaller- so we were overcharged. They demanded cash payment or zell on delivery despite our contract stating check or card was acceptable. The movers who delivered our items did not speak any English and it was very difficult to communicate with them (not their fault they were just hired to do this job). Many furniture items were broken, the boxes looked like they had been smashed and thrown around. The claiming process was terrible (that's another story) with a website riddled with adds and demanding documents in different formats. It seemed their goal was to demand so many documents that the client would give up. It took 3-4 months after we submitted our claim to get $80 (minus $20 to have a document notarized) for hundreds of dollars worth of damaged items. TLDR: avoid this company at all cost. 24 DAYS TO RECEIVE OUR BELONGINGS The moving truck failed to arrive on time and we were not provided with an update for over an hour, and that update was the truck would not be arriving until the following day, despite paying for a guaranteed on-time arrival. Once the truck finally arrived, there seemed to be no issues loading. We were told by multiple sources to expect our delivery in days, but that turned into weeks and we could never get an actual update on when we would get our belongings delivered. They quoted me a price of 9,700 to transport from California to Texas then contracted another company to move the stuff and then hiked the price to 16,000 and didn't send a truck big enough take all my things so I have a storage bill. About 5 years ago I used Direct Relocation Services. They were the worst of the worst. I do NOT recommend them. Here are six reasons why: FIRST: When DRS delivered my stuff to my storage unit they lost two antique chairs that was part of a kitchen table set. They also lost a hand crafted desk chair with arms. SECOND: When DRS delivered my stuff to my storage unit, they left all the tarps and blanketts wrapped around eight or nine pieces of furniture. They said those blankets would "protect the furniture" for the future, when I would inevitably have to move those furniture pieces again. It was only recently that I discovered the real reason they left the tarps on my furniture.....it was to hide the damage to broken tables, table legs, missing roller casters, antique wooden shoe shine boxes, etc. And those are only the things that I know about because I recently unwrapped them. There are several more pieces in my storage unit to unwrap. There could be more "surprises" waiting in theree. THIRD: Initially, when it was easy to see that three chairs were missing, I called the owner of the company, that ducked my calls for months. I could hear through the phone, the owner whispering "is it that customer again? Tell him I'm not here." That was really crappy customer service. Fourth: I purchased moving insurance in advance, just in case I would have to file a claim. Then after a very long lengthy process of filing a claim with the movers, insurance, I finally received a $225 pay out. And because of the hassle, with DRS, I just signed the form, to just take the money, and say the hell with it. I probably paid more than $225 just for the purchase of that moving insurance. Honestly, I don't remember the premium amount. FIFTH: There is nothing worse, than the owner of a company, ignoring a customer until the customer finally gives up trying to fix a bad situation. I get it.....I'm a reasonable person....furniture gets lost, things get damaged....but the owner of DRS, was hiding from me, ducking my calls, and simply hoped I would "go away." And DRS was successful too. If ever given the opportunity, I would look at the owner directly, and say "You fooled me." SIXTH: DRS used to be located in Sunrise, FL and now their office are now in Davie, FL. (just FYI). Oh and did I mention.....Direct Relocation Services fooled me?? I do NOT recommend DRS. This company has very slick salesmen who sell you on their services. Items- furniture and glassware were broken. Our furniture was placed in a warehouse and we felt held hostage because they couldn't find anyone else moving to Texas to help relieve the cost. After a month with numerous phone calls and threats our furniture and boxes arrived. We moved from Florida to Texas and packed our own boxes, clearly labeling everything. But the crew that arrived to pack the truck and the crew that brought our furniture to us did not speak or read English so items were packed on their sides or upside down. Even though they have insurance, the process to get paid is horrendous and instead of the approximately $500 worth of broken items we were only given $75. Stay away from this company !! I made the mistake of hiring this company for my move to Texas. The guys that loaded the items into the truck were great. But the truck that brought the furniture to me was a disaster. Apparently they had put my stuff in their warehouse and reloaded it onto this truck to bring it to me. There was a husband, wife and small child that arrived to unload. Mide you it took tow people to load the furniture. The guy unloaded everything. They damaged my furniture, put stuff together wrong and even left an extra TV mount (I didn't see that until after they left). The cost was way more they quoted me in the beginning. The kept adding "charges" to the cost and you pay something every time you see them. Please do not hire these individuals. If you are moving I would recommend getting a Pod, hairpin people to load and unload. read more

When my roommate and I decided to move to a new apartment downtown, we hired this company on a friend's recommendation. I've got to say, the entire process was so smooth. They helped us figure out how many boxes we needed, and they didn't mind making multiple trips down several flights of stairs. It was a hot day, and they never complained about the lack of air conditioning in our old place. Everything was loaded onto a large, clean truck without any issues. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. They have not been honest or forthcoming with where my stuff currently is or when it will get here. Full detailed story below. On April 20th I put a down payment on a move from Florida to Denver. At that point the sales pitch was "whenever you need your stuff moved, give me a call and 72 hours later a truck will be there to pick it up. After that it will take no more than 10 days to get to the final destination." So with that flexibility I agreed to choose DRS for my move. My wife and I started renting our apartment in Denver May 1st, a month before we could actually move in. During the month of May I was in contact with a sales rep for the entirety of the month making it very clear I wanted my stuff delivered early June. Even if I wasn't there for the delivery, the leasing agents would've let the movers move the stuff in. I spent the month of May trying to contact DRS through email and calls to set this up right. Then I made the "72 hour" call on May 24th for a truck to come out May 27th and was informed a truck couldn't come out until 3 days after my requested date. Then 3 days later comes and I get a call saying the truck won't be there until the next day(May 31st). At this point I've spoken to multiple people about my stuff being delivered the week of June 7th(when me and my wife would be arriving to Denver) and I was told a May 31st pick up would be fine to get your stuff out there somewhere in that June 7th week. As you can see by the date on the review it is now June 11th and I am stuck trying to figure out when my stuff will get here. The managers and sales person won't answer my calls. After emailing and asking for my sales reps manager, he called and gave me an ear full. The level of unprofessional is unbelievable. I had to call the headquarters and speak to a customer service rep who kept giving me the runaround as well. In all of this, no one has offered any type of recourse, either through a discount or some type of expedited delivery. Horribly managed company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I don't expect a delivery to go perfect but I have done nothing but try to communicate my expectations and have heard "yes" along the way when they want to take my money, and now nothing. I will be reporting them to the BBB and seeing what other actions I can take against them for the blatant lies in the sales pitch, lack of communication, and not being honest about where my stuff is/when it will arrive. I went from 350 square fee to 600 square feet an price almost doubled - They were going to store my goods for two months. Once they had the good they raised the price 50% - When we receive the belongings, they are wrecked. They were treated poorly, and the brand new boxes now had oil stains, mouse poop in the clothes, and cockroaches coming out of boxes. - I called over and over to try and get some compensation and they offer $125 on a $5,000 move where we had to get all clothes cleaned and the breakage of fragile items was severe. Typical South Florida scam company. My fiancé and I hired them to move our stuff from Florida to Colorado. They lied about the pickup date, lied and said they would get our stuff there in like two weeks. Two weeks turned into almost 2 months. Two months of living in an empty apartment. Sleeping on an inflatable bed. Cooking with only a pizza stone. The whole time, they lied about what was happening every time we called them. Lied about what they had clearly told us. Said we only "heard what we wanted to hear". When my fiancé found out from another upset customer that this company was evicted from their warehouse, and were holding people's stuff in temporary storage (without their knowledge), he left a review stating that. Next came the threatening call from Justin Perez the owner, making vague threats to try to coerce my fiancé to take the review down. We are missing a chair and several boxes of stuff as well, I'm sure we'll get barely any compensation for that. They report reviews that tell the truth about their scam business to Google and Yelp to get them taken down, yet Yelp obviously knows they are paying someone for fake good reviews, hence the "suspicious activity" notification. These people should get real jobs like everyone else, rather than getting rich by ripping off people in their own community. You've been warned, don't use them. I doubt they'll be in business much longer anyway, from the looks of it. read more

This was the most disorganized and unpleasant move I have ever experienced, and I apparently didn't research them enough. After I hired them using my credit card, they made a mistake on the pickup day, so I had to move some things around. At pickup, I also used my credit card. After waiting for a few days to have my stuff delivered, they told me it would take 2-10 days to be received, which was never communicated to me at pick up. They are not responsive as I would leave messages and not get a call back. When the furniture was finally delivered (two stops), they advised it was going to be an extra $400 since both stops had flights of stairs. I was expecting to pay an extra $150 for the stairs but not $400. Then they tell me they do not accept credit cards but take checks, cash or cash apps. No one told me this when I hired the company. When I spoke to Maria at the company to tell her this, she had an attitude. I finally just paid with a cash app just to get it over with. I used this company to assist with a military move as I received short orders to relocate. They were not the cheapest nor most expensive but they assured me they were not brokers and have their own teams. One of their selling points was that other company's will charge more after inventory and they do not. I got hit with extra fees at delivery and extra costs when they did a second inventory (after deposit money was collected and just a couple of days before pickup so I did not have options to change companies). Everything started positive with the company from initial conversations and inventory. Things changed a lot after that received my deposit and even worse when that got my pickup check, which they tried to collect before completion. Beware that the day you coordinate a delivery is they day they will begin attempting to source your delivery. I received my items about 4 days after what I asked them to deliver by and they did not provide updates. I just got a call from the driver when he was about 100 miles away. My job isn't necessarily the easiest to just not go to work on short notice. I had scrapes, scratchs, missing items, etc. I have furniture that is no longer usable. The worst, a majority of my military awards or transition gifts from my service were destroyed. Mostly expensive plagues that can have the glass replaced but at around $50 to $100 each (multiplied by 15 years of service). A couple of items that Soldiers signed as a farewell that I can not replace at all. Additionally, they destroyed my neighbors mailbox (HOA President) and refused to call back, acknowledge or replace it. The claims process is non existent. DRS informed me to document and send to them. In which they move to another company that always finds a way to kick back the claim and makes you start from the beginning each time. We found so many bugs in our items, including items that were sterilized and inspected before packing. This happened because they were not stored in a climate controlled space, since this company has been evicted from theirs (under their old name of D & J Moving LLC in the case file). God knows where they store peoples' goods now, but I'd be prepared to have to toss/sterilize a lot of stuff. read more

I really tried to not have to write this review. I am so thankful this move is done. My first quote was terrific, they told me 30 boxes included. They did not tell that if three of those boxes were wardrobe boxes the estimate would be over $1000 MORE! The lack of communication from this company is appalling! I had a two day window for pick up and they didn't show up either day...I have moved six times, using a professional mover each time and I have never, ever experienced anything like this. Once I did finally receive my furnishings, the unloaded did a great job, thank you Set, but the missing items, including a 7' aluminum ladder and THE FEET TO MY SOFA!! As well as the broken glass from my dresser too.of course I reached out to Diego and that lack of communication came shining through again...you got it, no response. SHM. If I could give zero stars I would. From the moment I was pressured into making a decision, putting down the deposit and signing the contract, the lies began and never stopped. When I started having doubts and wanted to cancel the services, even at the risk of losing my substantial deposit because I was being treated that badly, the supervisor called and assured me that everything would be fine and that I should continue with the move with them. My pick-up date was three days past when I was told which put everything off and caused many problems. The website states "you can set your watch by us". I had a two hour window for pick up, the driver was an hour late outside the window. I asked for an appropriate load time to schedule around that, the length of time it took was almost 2 hrs outside of the estimated time I was given. I admittingly started complaining quite boisterously about the inconsistencies. Instead of the Jorde, my original salesperson handling my issues, I was pawned off on another salesman Richard who was not anymore honest or reassuring. I was told I would have my things in 24-48 hrs, so again, planned around that. When 24 hrs was coming up, I called Marie in dispatch for an update and my messages were left unanswered. Again, I admittedly got very upset and my messages were not that friendly after 4 of them not being returned. Instead of putting me up the chain or trying to address my concerns, I was ignored. When 48 hrs came and went with no idea of when I would receive my belongings I stated that I would have to stay in a hotel until my belongings did arrive. After a day of waiting on a response, Justin, the supervisor sent a text that he would comp me for the hotel. I live in Daytona and was given a $150 credit for a 4 night hotel stay which didn't even cover one night. When I finally received my items, 6 days passed the time I was told and 45 minutes outside of the scheduled delivery window, a very important piece was missing from my bed. After everything I had been though with them up to this point I was extremely upset and when I expressed this disappointment with Justin, his response was, "why do you always have to go off? I gave you a credit for the hotel and you are still going to write a bad review? Good luck to you." He ended our relationship at that point without ever making amends for the missing part that makes it so my bed is inoperable. I felt scammed from the beginning but wanted to believe in them and give them a chance, if you are having that feeling, DON'T GO THERE! There was not one thing told to me that ended up being true except for the fact that once I signed that contract, I was screwed!!! NO stars. very Shady company. 3 days before pick up is when I found out it might take 14 days to get my things. Two days before pick up we went over itemized list of my items and i was told if there is 1 more Item (mirror) id have to talk to sonso and it will cost $25-50 more or what ever they decide and on that form it says it could take up to 21 days to get my things. The original guy i spoke to never mentioned any of this he just wanted $630 to hold the date and his quote was so much lower than the rest. yaaaa well its was getting more expensive as time went on. Do NOT utilize this business! March 2023 - Secured company for storage and relocation to another state. My items were packed by me. I took pictures of every box packed and stored with the facility for accurate accounting of items. My items were delivered on May 14,2023. This was my first time utilizing a moving company. Shane was amazing with taking the time to explain everything and answer all questions I had. May 14, 2023 My items arrived. I counted the boxes and realized two were missing. They contained household items knife ware, glassware set, draw organizer for utensils, and a variety of other kitchen and household items. They were medium-large boxes. Same day I notified Shane the POC I was working with. He provided education and next steps first I was told it could be handled in house then I was told that I would have to complete a claim then call them back after so there could be something as compensation. I began unboxing everything a few days after. Took note of various damaged items. 1. A large clear container with lid that was wrapped with moving plastic containing about 25 pairs of shoes. All the shoes sustained damage. About 10 had the worst damage. Mildew, dirt, and completely destroyed. View pictures for reference. My assumption poor climate control and someone mishandled my items. I only submitted the 10 with worse damage as I was able to salvage the rest. 2. 60 inch TV still in til he original box. Water damage and would not turn on. 3. Blender system with water damage and would not turn on. I called again and was furious. Explained what I found. And after looking up claims and reports about DirectRelocation I knew I would not be offered much and asked how much I was considering. At this point I did quick calculation the TV to replace would be close to $2000 and the shoes and lost boxes I wounded another $1000. Knowing I probably wouldn't get even close to that I was comfortable suggestion $1500. July 2023 Per instructions provided. I completed the claim then called Direct Relocation to follow up about what was discussed, an in house review of my claim and additional compensation. I was to be contacted by Taylor for assistance and to begin the process. August 23, 3023 I called as no one had called me to date. I was transferred multiple time to finally reach a person that later claimed to be the "manager". I stated my reason for calling. I was told the reason no one has reached out to me is because the "claim was complete. Nothing else will be done". I'm confused and ask for clarification as that's not the instructions provided by Shane, Maria and a manager( name I was not provided) when I was initially told to complete the claim. Up to this point I have attempted to remain calm each time I have reached out to this company. I was told during this conversation with the "manager" the reason my items were damaged was because I packed liquids in with my items. First, pointing out the obvious it states not to do so. Two, how does a bin with no damages wrapped in shipping wrapping experience water damage and mold if it sealed. Three, how does a TV in original boxing experience water damage. It would take a lot of water to accomplish that. (Please view pictures of container and items). The manager was not empathetic, professional, and apparently no integrity. This is not an honest company and if you utilize their devices expect the worst. I have received poor customer service for the exception of Shane. There were delays when shipping my items and when I called to inquire Maria took the stance as if I was the issue for inquiring about my items. There is a lack of communication with customers and between the individuals from department to department. The claim only offered $69 for covered loss of boxes and damaged items. The kicker, the "manager" responded to my anger and frustration with "you are thinking in a different stratosphere, world, realm if you even expected $1500. The only thing I would do is give you $70". I have learned my lesson. I repeat do NOT utilize this company. SCAM - This company is nothing but scammers. Moving companies are not supposed to charge customers a large deposit, request cash, or provide an estimate without in in-person consult. THIS COMPANY DOES ALL OF THAT. We were charged a $2,000 deposit for a $5,000 move. We found out 5 days prior to our move that the cost of our move had doubled to $10,000 (after they already had our deposit.) When we were forced to move our pick up date (due to the company's internal miscommunication and trying to pick up on the wrong day) we decided to cancel our move with these scammers. This company is a FRAUD. They take advantage of single females. I paid them 40 days ago and they will not return my calls or deliver my items. My rate went up $1500 from the original estimate. When I booked they said I could get my items when I wanted them. The truth is if you get your items at all, it will be at their convenience not yours.
