I have had DirecTV for about 20 years. Ever since being bought by AT&T, their service has gone downhill. I called to cancel my NFL Sunday Ticket BEFORE they automatically renewed it, but they renewed it anyway. When I received a bill for the 1st of 6 installments, I called to address the problem. They acknowledged that I did not have the service and that the bill was a mistake, issued a credit, and told me it would not happen again. This has been repeated now for 4 months in a row and I fully expect to have to do it for installments 5 and 6. I even spoke to a supervisor last month and they gave me a ticket#. It doesn't help that each of these calls lasts 30-60 minutes (I get put on hold multiple times and have to answer the same questions multiple times (like "what is your phone number and can we call and text it about our services" (answer always no))! read more

Where do I actually being to describe how HORRIBLE this company is? Well let's start with I've been a customer since 2012, but in March of 2017 when they teamed up with AT&T I did an account switch because per them it would be a way to make my bill cheaper. Wow sounds great right!? WRONG! This decision has made my life a living nightmare between March 2017- to this present day. They never cancelled my old account until July, so between March-July I've been paying two cable bills. Why would I do that because I called twice a month every month saying the old account needed to be cancelled but they never did it & seeing how I didn't want to go into collections I kept paying. So now I'm insisting that I should have my additional money refunded to me because who really wants and can afford to pay two cable bills, I am a separated mom who works & goes to school, extra money is not something I know. They are doing nothing or giving me the run around when they claim that the refund is coming. I have no idea what to do next, I've asked to speak to supervisor after supervisor and no one over there is competent enough to rectify this situation. So the moral of this story is this company does not value its customers and will suck you dry & not hold their employees accountable when they mess up!!! BEWARE read more

DirecTV performed a terrible instillation, running cable on siding exterior, penetrating through an over-sized hole without any sealant. On interior, cable was run along floor with no supports, through a door frame, along floor and up on to wall with splitter attached onto interior wall. This is in a bedroom. Door can no longer close. When contacted for repairs, was transferred to 11 different people over 3 hours. Had to call in repeatedly, was put on long holds and was hung up on several times. Finally, I was told that I needed to send a letter with pictures and a professional estimate (all of which I was expected to pay for). read more

Directv put me in a "high risk' category because of my MANY calls for service because of their faulty equipment. During my last service call I had them move a box that was not being used but I was still paying for it into a room that it would be used on a daily basis. Needless to say I did not realize that they only left enough wire for the TV to be placed in an area that it simply cannot be placed. I called them and asked for it to be done right and proper....WHAT A LAUGH....I was told sure they will come out again at MY EXPENSIVE OF COURSE...it doesnt matter that their so called special technicians that had to come to my home being i am such a high risk did not do the job the proper way......I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL I CAN LEAVE WITHOUT BEING CHARGED A TERMINATION FEE!!!!!
