He is so patient and kind in his explanation (not all of us are tech savvy) he also went 100% above and beyond for us in helping to ensure our event had the connectivity we needed to be successful. I will recommend this company to all of our contacts! Chris, you are an awesome human being, and btw it was a pleasure meeting your son today as well. Thank you kind sir, for all of your hard work. May your business flourish!

I'm usually willing to give people a benefit of the doubt, but honestly, I should trust my gut more…read morewhen there are multiple red flags from the start. I reached out to Empire Satellites Inc after looking online for someone to install my new Starlink dish. Chris responded promptly via text from a different number (red flag number one). Quoted a price for the install - $349, which I thought was reasonable. Set up an appointment for the same day at 2:30pm. At 3:00 get a text that he we will be "couple of hours late" (red flag number two). OK, no problem. Finally shows up at 6:10pm. Started to look around the house to find a good location to mount the dish. Settle on a tall side gable (single story house), but his ladder is only 18', so he says that that's as high as he can mount it, not at the gable apex. Not ideal, but OK. Casually mentions that he charges an extra $100 for the "attic work" (major red flag number three). As if most people expect to have wires hanging on their exterior walls? I don't argue, but at this point I am really expecting to see stellar work quality, above and beyond attention to detail. This is where things really go to shit. Chris gets up to the facia and starts mounting the dish in a mount that I provided. I am looking from below and clearly can see that the mount is not plumb and is wobbling, as he puts three lugnut screws through the facia. He assures me that it is plenty stable. Red flag number four. Drills a hole through the wall for the cable and goes inside the house to fish for it in the attic. In the meantime, I get up the ladder and take a picture of the mount. It is clearly not fully bolted to the facia, with one of the bolts screwed at a 45 degree angle. The thing wobbles like crazy. Thirty minutes later, and two more holes in the ceiling plate from the attic, the cable is still not down to the final location, despite the fact that 5 extra ethernet cables were routed through the same wall from the attic by my electrician a few weeks before. Chris offers to surface mount the wire to the wall in the finished pantry room - ugliest, laziest install ever. Red flag number five. This is when I say "that's enough" and kick him out of my house. He is genuinely surprised when I offer to pay him only $250 for the horrendous job he did, and not the full $450 he was expecting. Before he leaves, he blames me for providing a bad mount for the dish, and tries to upsell his own mount for $100. Unbelievable. I have worked with dozens of subs int he last two years while building my house, and know my way around tools and trades. This was one of the worst experiences. The guy has the worst work ethic and zero integrity.

Will update as the weeks progress…read more We had TWC back in California and the service was awful, of course. But I'm reviewing the TWC in Yuma so here goes. We set up an appointment on Tuesday the 12th from 8-10 in the morning. I woke up early in case they came early and 3 hours later I received no phone call and no one came. Irritated, we called TWC and they claimed we set the appointment up on Friday. Never did the rep ever tell us Friday. The appointment was clearly set up for the morning on a Tuesday, but the person over the phone probably told us that to cover up some lazy no-show tech. Then he babbled on about how we matter and our satisfaction is their guarantee and set us up with an appointment for Wednesday after being on hold for half an hour. Lo and behold, someone showed up. He was courteous and very nice and ended up having to climb around in the attic to take out the 30 year old cords and replace them with new cords. The set up was quick (as quick as that can be) and tidy and a whole lot better than our last set up in California. We also got an Ubee modem over our old one from California, which is a huge improvement, not sure why we got a new one in Arizona but an old, crappy one in California. No doubt it contributed to our poor internet service. All is well so far, we have 57mb even though we pay for the ultimate package that guarantees 50mb. The trend is you'll have fast internet speeds for the first week and then it drops to zilch for the remainder of your contract with TWC. We'll see. I will mention we live in an apartment complex and we're 1 of 2 people in the entire place that have internet, and the houses around us aren't internet capable, which is what the tech told me. So that ought to mean we shouldn't experience downtime or slow internet. My words, not the tech's. You'll have terrible internet speeds if you live in an apartment complex or in a neighborhood where everyone else uses the same ISP.

This is the absolute worst Internet I've ever had. We're counseling today because they cannot…read moreprovide reliable Internet and every time we talk to them, they give us some excuse.
