What made the experience worse was the front desk staff's attitude. One of the employees was dismissive and came across as sarcastic, especially when telling me to "have a good day" after seeing I was frustrated. The interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessary. Mistakes happen, but clear communication and basic courtesy--especially toward new clients--should be standard. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I want to make it clear that my veterinary experience with them. Next-door is amazing.

When I texted, she left me on "read" with no response for the entire day. I messaged her asking about prices and services again in the evening and once again got no response. Needless to say this lady is lacking professionalism and is clearly too busy to accept new clients. After reading some of the other reviews, this has happened before to multiple other clients of days on days of no responses and excuses of why they couldn't come out whether it was distance, time or a family member with dementia. And don't get me wrong being a nurse practitioner myself I am sympathetic to the medical attentions elders need and the time and effort it takes to take care of someone like that, I still think it's completely unprofessional. It's not a business if you can only travel 15 mins from where you live, at least not one that people would want to choose. I live in Yorba Linda and sometimes it takes longer than that to just drive around the corner... Decide to use another mobile dog grooming service instead. I suggest you use someone more reliable and professional as well.

I understand that people make mistakes while cutting hair, but the fact that they did not double check him to make sure everything was up to standard disgusts me. They did a fine job anyways I guess, but be sure to double check your dog when you leave... UPDATE: he is in pain. Now he has a cone on his head and is dizzy. His tail is now shaved and he is uncomfortable. Unbelievable that they did not make sure he was clean and ok. Absolutely no warning about the cut at all.

I washed my dog myself prior and I just couldn't put the same time and effort to grooming him myself anymore with my back injury. I know Siberian Huskies are no easy task. = I remember his first wash was a doozy and overdue for a grooming. They took such incredible care of him and he looked so handsome. I laughed when I saw the both of them covered in his fur when I picked him up. They even pointed out that his skin allergy was flaring up and recommended a cream for me to try. He's so fluffy it can be hard for me to catch it early and also turns out he had Thyroid issues that flares up his skin too. It showed me they really care a lot and took time with our old man. I knew I found our forever groomers! They even take an adorable photo of your pup and give the cutest bandanas or even a tie! I loved getting his photos and loved seeing how adorable he always came out. They always do such an amazing job and I know how hard huskies can be. They offer a extra tidy option and I always chose it since they clean up his fluffy bubble butt and trim up a bit. Sorry no pics of my dog's butt but they were were so detailed! Earlier this year the old man passed and Noriko and her Husband reach out to me since Diesel hadn't been in a few months. His health was declining and he left us in a little over a month ago. When they found out they sent me his last grooming pic and a little keepsake with his fur with a heartfelt card. I was extremely touched that they would go out of their way to do that for us. When we open our arms to another dog we will 100% choose Zen Pet Grooming again. They've been nothing but incredible every time I've brought my senior dog there and I'm forever grateful for their kindness. Look how handsome our boy was after every cut!

They always went out if their way to be gentle and take their time with her, letting her hang out and air dry when needed, which we greatly appreciated. We just took our new standard poodle puppy, Rita, there for her first grooming. Prior to bringing her in we had stopped by with her to discuss how she would be groomed and ask numerous questions, being our first poodle. Chris gave us lots of information and held Rita, getting her used to the facility. Chris also has poodles of her own, another bonus! Rita looks beautiful!!! They were gentle with her and played "pass the puppy" to make her experience positive and get her acclimated to being groomed. We can't be happier with our SPAW experiences!

I definitely didn't feel I was dealing with amateurs in any way. I have a Bouvier & a Yorkshire terrier - they did a fantastic job grooming them both & haircuts matched breed styles perfectly. Particularly with a Bouvier it's not uncommon to have her come back with some weird sheepdog look! On top of everything, they were cheaper than Petsmart & other places I've tried. Does that really matter? First, the groomer was late by 45 mins because he was given the wrong address and when he arrived, he only spoke Mandarin and not English. So communicating with him was a bit difficult. There was only 1 person in the Van...at least have a translator? I speak Cantonese but this shouldn't be an issue from the beginning. This is the first time my 5 month old puppy was to be groomed and had a terrible, terrible first experience. Second, the grooming van looked disgusting. There was hair everywhere. During the bath and drying, she was being tossed around by the scruff and also not making sure that she is going to be okay. The look in her eyes...she was scared down to the nail clipping experience. Again, she is only 5 months old! Zero comfort. She was supposed to have a haircut as well but after going through that, we opted out hoping that we would save that cost. No. We were STILL charged $45 for a bad experience. Seriously? That is not fair. You should have adjusted your price. Is it because I don't speak Mandarin that I don't get that level of service? Not only for being really late, but the van cleanliness, and how you treat your pets. Tip? I rather throw my money into the trash. There are decent mobile services out there but this one is garbage.
