I honestly don't know where the five star reviews come from. Fake reviews? We were quoted $45 ($50 with tip) for the bath, dry, and nail clipping. We were also asked if we spoke Chinese. Does that really matter? First, the groomer was late by 45 mins because he was given the wrong address and when he arrived, he only spoke Mandarin and not English. So communicating with him was a bit difficult. There was only 1 person in the Van...at least have a translator? I speak Cantonese but this shouldn't be an issue from the beginning. This is the first time my 5 month old puppy was to be groomed and had a terrible, terrible first experience. Second, the grooming van looked disgusting. There was hair everywhere. During the bath and drying, she was being tossed around by the scruff and also not making sure that she is going to be okay. The look in her eyes...she was scared down to the nail clipping experience. Again, she is only 5 months old! Zero comfort. She was supposed to have a haircut as well but after going through that, we opted out hoping that we would save that cost. No. We were STILL charged $45 for a bad experience. Seriously? That is not fair. You should have adjusted your price. Is it because I don't speak Mandarin that I don't get that level of service? Not only for being really late, but the van cleanliness, and how you treat your pets. Tip? I rather throw my money into the trash. There are decent mobile services out there but this one is garbage. My 9yr old Boxer was groomed today by Fu and she had a great experience . I'm unsure of the negative reviews as our experience was seamless. He got here on time (and it was raining) and she warmed up to him right away! He took her into the van and got her up on the table (she has arthritis and mild hip dysplasia and he lifted her with ease) . He spent an hour on her and it was only $50!! She smells great, coat looks shiny , ears clean , and nails! Normally when our dog comes back from the other groomers she's sad and depressed, but she was so happy after her grooming with Fu. She even tried to run back into the van after she was done haha . Yes his English is broken but we had no problem communicating. I just wanted to thank Fu! I have a cocker spaniel who was abused very young & she was 5 mos when we rescued her. Due to her abuse she does not like to have her paws or ears touched, or to be picked up from behind. They showed up late and notified me of the delay. I would normally be annoyed lol, however they did a fabulous job with our Lady & did everything I asked them too. The price was reasonable and again worth it, as I had no idea whether or not my cocker would even like them! Honestly I excepted them to bring her back to me saying "she bites!" Lol! Made an appt. with James, 4pm for my two dogs a few days in advance. Waited until 4:30 and called. He said he was running late so 6PM. 6:15 got a text that he was tired, so how about 4 the next day. I told him if he couldn't make it in the morning, forget it. Second time this has happened. If he shows up, he does a pretty good job but he has become unreliable as hell. I'd like to address the negative review first then I'll get to my personal one. Fu has a variety of services he offers depending on the size of your dog and what you want done. Unless you send Mr. Fu a picture so he can gauge what he is working with, he will have to charge more if your dog requires more work. The price for standard work is after all just a quote. It is outrageous to me that there are customers who expect free labor based on a quote. That is exactly what he would be providing if he didn't charge what his services were worth. Yes, it's pricier than some in shop grooming, but you are also receiving a value in him coming to you. I've personally never had a single issue with him showing up on time. Usually on busy days he will give me a time frame. It makes sense... he works with live animals. If one takes longer due to anxiety or special needs of previous dogs that day then that is just how it is. If you don't want a window then schedule to be his first appointment of the day. I've never had more than a 2 hour window though. It's also laughable to hear that his assistant scared someone's dog. My girl dog has an unbelievable amount of anxiety which is why I have a mobile groomer in the first place, and even she loves them! Maybe it was just because it was the first time meeting them? Some dogs need a few visits to get used to a person. So to all those reading reviews, please ignore that negative 2 star review. A little common sense goes a long way. As for my personal review, I could not be happier with his services. He does a fantastic job and my dogs adore him and his assistant. He is so kind and patient with my girl dog who has terrible anxiety and is super skittish. As someone said earlier, English is not his first language. Please do not let that detour you, because he is very good at what he does. I will continue to use his services as long as he is in business Sorry in advance for typos as I am on my phone. Fu has broken English so there was a bit difficulty in having a conversation on the phone. However other than the language barrier, the service, price, and his arrival time were all five stars. I paid $100 for my two medium sized dogs. He spent about 2and a half hour cutting their furs, trimming nails and cleaning their ears. The way fu cut my dogs hair aren't the best. I would give like 4-4 1/2 stars. However for the price I paid, I love it. My both dogs still look very very good good on their new styles. I think I spoke with two different people, one whom which was laughing as I was explaining to them that I just wanted one thing. Was I being so cheap for wanting just one of their services? 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment, I text them to for an ETA. No response. It wasn't until I told them I had to be somewhere that they responded. I asked if they could be there an hour and a half after our scheduled appointment time and they said no. Dog grooming can be expensive, but it's really worth. Today I had my 2 husky groomed by Mr Fu. He was very thorough and kind, he treated my huskies really nicely. I called about 50 people before I reach Mr Fu. Other groomers give me an exorbitant price, and none of them pick up their phones. Which is so frustrating when you just want to get your dogs clean on the weekend when you are free. Some of them even have the nerve to even call me back a day later when their voice mails say they'll get back to me within the hour, very disappointing. After going through pages and pages of Yelp reviews, I came across Mr Fu mobile pet grooming service. I called him and he gave me a quote, and I was very ecstatic about the competitive prices that he quoted me to cut and clean my two Huskies. After working on my dogs for two and a half hours. He return them to me looking like champion racer sled dogs. I couldn't be any happier with the way it result. WAY better than what they looked like before which were homeless stray dogs. I highly recommend you guys use his services, you would not be disappoint with the result. There is so much added benefit with mobile dog grooming. For example you don't have to drive your dog anywhere. You don't have to get fur on your car seat. You don't have to do it by yourself and trust me they always look better when a professional is cutting and cleaning them.
