A stunning park for photo opportunities as well, and they hold a lot of community events, which is a big plus in my book. Definitely recommend checking it out if you get the chance.

There was plenty of room for everyone. The main indoor space holds several tables and is equipped with a kitchen and restrooms. We also used a smaller barn for serving guests and used the huge lawn for vendor and beverage tents. There was also plenty of room on the grounds for a variety of food trucks and display cars for a car show. A full band was set up in an area large enough for a nice bandstand. I spoke with a woman who volunteers regularly at the venue. She had nothing but nice things to say about the management. Every inch of the grounds was clean and well-maintained. I'd definitely recommend it for events and special occasions.

What a beautiful venue for a wedding…read more First time in Michigan was for a family wedding. The Rochester Hills Banquet Center was so Magical. Parking was so easy right next to the banquet hall. The venue was set up so beautifully. The wedding was filled with so much love as two families were brought together. The reception was quickly transformed after the ceremony. The cocktail hour had an open bar and the most delicious appetizers. Loved the bruschetta and the spanakopita triangles. The food was served family style for the dinner reception. Loved the potatoes and green beans. The party was hopping. The DJ had so much energy. Thanks for grabbing our family for Hava Nagila. Loved the photo area where we captured three generations in multiple images freezing this beautiful day forever etched in our hearts. They confirmed our arrival the day before but no one was there. We had to find a hotel after a long day of traveling. They called us to say "sorry." Really "sorry!" Don't bother. Last time we thought it was strange because it wasn't really a B&B - just a room but with the studio we could cook our own breakfast. I don't think they know how to run a business. One star is TOO MUCH.

All of the catered food at the conservatory was tasty, as well - we had appetizers, salad, and I had an herb chicken dish, I believe. Waitstaff was very courteous and when I went up to the bar to get a Diet Coke, they asked how everything was tasting, etc., even though I wasn't the hostess of the party; nice customer service. My engaged friend said that they originally looked at Royal Park as a wedding venue, but unfortunately the conservatory wasn't large enough for their number of guests - I'm glad they had their engagement dinner there, so I got to experience it. There were about 30 guests there last night but the space looked like it could fit more, I would guess 40-50 total, easily, and possibly even more. Based on this experience, I'd love to come back to the hotel either to dine or to stay overnight.
