Florals were not really a high-priority item for me, but in retrospect Karese at Detailed Floral Design became one of my favorite people to work with during the whole process! During our search, we spoke to one other Temecula-based florist. Karese's bid was slightly higher than the second option, but we knew we "clicked" more with her and chose based on our gut instead of our wallet. We absolutely do not regret this decision. Karese was communicative, detailed, professional, and honest. She was flexible enough to meet us around our schedule (usually when we were attending other meetings in Temecula). During these in-person consultations, we would go over compotes, ribbons, and other key bits of information that would be used to create the final design. Karese understood our aesthetic, understood styles that we didn't like, and understood logistics so she knew exactly what questions to ask in preparation for the big day. Like I said, she is DETAILED. It's in the name! On the day of our wedding, Karese exceeded all expectations. Our ceremony garland, in particular, blew us away. Even with the global flower shortage and our limited budget, Karese went above and beyond and delivered something that looked even better than what we envisioned! Needless to say, I am extremely happy with how everything turned out. She was so nice to work with and is just one of the sweetest people you will meet. When we first explained our floral vison with her, she was honest and very upfront with us. At first our vision seemed a bit outrageous with our budget so we did have to go over our budget. However, she was more than willing to listen to what we wanted and gave great advice throughout the planning process so we were able to save money in other ways. At each of our planning meetings, she would also bring items so we can see them in person. It was so helpful since my husband and I are both very visual people. She was also very flexile and understanding when we had to postpone our wedding date due to Covid. On our actual wedding day, when Karese delivered the florals to the bridal suite, I was thrown back by how beautiful everything looked! In fact she even engraved our vases with each of our names as a nice keepsake! One of the very specific concerns my husband and I had with the florals during our ceremony was our venue's (Avensole Winery) dome structure. This structure is gorgeous as a stand alone structure, but we've seen different ways couples incorporated florals to it and we wanted something a little bit more elaborate. We were told the cost of this vision and we knew we had to compromise with a more simple design. However, Karese took our vision and miraculously made it even better in real life! My photos do not do justice! The florals from the ceremony were huge and the dome looked so full and gorgeous! We received so many compliments, and a couple even reached out to us after the wedding to inquire about Karese's services! Leslee would evolve with us, altering the plan along the way to make sure it was what we ultimately envisioned. Even down to 2 weeks before the wedding, we were able to add an additional element to the head family table that I had been thinking about for a while. She made it happen. Not only did that come out better than I could have ever imagined, she surprised us by using this during our ceremony in a different configuration. During the reception, the floral pieces did not look repurposed from the ceremony because it was done in such a way that created a new design for us. I was speechless when I walked into our reception and saw what had been created in the time during cocktail hour. During the evening, I found myself sitting and staring at our table, admiring the flawlessly clear lucite pillars supporting what appeared to be a floating canopy of vibrant, fresh and exotic flowers. The orchids in my bouquet were dynamic and not flat, there were veins of color throughout. The magical feeling of floating elements was continued with clear globes housing tea lights while being suspended by nearly undetectable clear line. We had wanted very colorful pieces and for them to have an impact when you walked into the room. Leslee exceeded this goal. I will forever look back on photos and videos of our wedding and be in awe of the beautiful pieces and colors she brought to our wedding.

Mind you, I know nothing about flowers nor many of their names, and I have a lack of creativity in this realm. I honestly did not know where to start, just had some ideas, Pinterest pics and an open mind. Due to COVID, we had little time to re-plan our wedding since it got canceled last year and barely got the ok to have the wedding less than 2 months before our new date. I didn't want to be over stress (also with my job, did not have time to do as much research on the florals as to what I wanted even with the extension), so we let her (the professional) do her job and trusted that however it turns out, that she will do a superb job. We gave her FULL creative control and was the best decision of our lives. My bouquet was the star of the show. I got so many compliments on the arrangement (even from my vendors)! All I asked was to make it drooping down and not too heavy. She was the one who decided on the flowers to put in the arrangement, which turned out stunning and they smelled so good too! If you have something that you absolutely want, she will be able to do it and find a way to make it work (within reason of course). Last minute, I wanted a ring bouquet for my bridesmaids, but didn't have many example pictures to give to her, mainly just the idea. She had not done this concept before, but despite that, she was able put together the most beautiful ring bouquets for my bridesmaids! We got many compliments for these bouquets and we were so impressed that she was able to create this so fast since we only gave her the idea within a few weeks of the wedding. Again, giving her full creative freedom paid off since I didn't give her much to go by and was so impressed by the arrangements. Since there was also a shortage in flowers for the colors we wanted, she quickly bought as much as she could and still worked within a reasonable budget considering the prices skyrocketed due to the supply and demand.
