Before giving the details of my visit, I'd like to provide 1 paragraph of context first. In October of last year, I purchased a 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Four days later, I got a crack over the A-pillar of my windshield that spread and required a new windshield. Because the vehicle was so new, I could only replace the windshield at Hyundai. It took me 6 weeks, more than 40 phone calls and 3 in-person visits to 4 Hyundai dealers to get it replaced. The part WAS available, but Hyundai's service departments no longer answer their phones with people. It was a horrible, frustrating experience. So when I got a ship in the replacement windshield less than 7 months later, I was terrified of needing to go back to Hyundai. I immediately called a few glass shops about crack repairs. I didn't mention I had insurance, because I wanted to see who would be the fairest priced. Sam offered me both the best price, and the best response over the phone "I'll try to save your windshield." The chip was not in a great location (just over the dashboard) and the crack had already begun to spread, so it was a tough repair. When I arrived, Sam took time to explain the process to me, as well as any possible risks. He didn't obligate me to proceed, he gave me the option to do so with full disclosure. He mentioned that some people don't like this approach - they would prefer to just be told "everything will be OK." I understand that, but I will say that personally I MUCH prefer being given the accurate information and then having the opportunity to make my own decision with no pressure. Obviously, I proceeded with the repair despite the risks, since NOT doing the repair would have just guaranteed that I needed a replacement. When the repair was complete, it looked great. The crack was barely visible (an unexpected but happy outcome for me), and it has now held for over a week of driving. It is clear to me that Sam takes pride in performing great service, at a fair price, to fully informed customers. I don't know what more you could ever ask for!

I wanted to prevent the chip from turning into a crack, which would require me to get my windshield replaced, because this is very expensive fix! I took my car to Pitstop in Carmel Mountain Ranch, and Gil took care of me. He was was knowledgeable, courteous, and he was patient with me when I had questions about the repair process. Gil did an amazing job with the repair! I can't even see where the chip(s) that he repaired where. Now, my windshield looks brand new! The cost of this repair was almost nothing compared to what it would have cost me to replace the windshield and get for the the sensors recalibrated. After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. Not only did they take my car in right away, he was finished in under 20 minutes and it looks amazing! The crack is now almost invisible, with a tiny tiny pin-prick mark where the impact happened. She did give me the option to drive to Escondido to have them check it out. Upon arriving in Escondido the first thing they told me was there are no guarantees and the second thing was questioning why I was there cause they didn't do the repair. Luckily the crack stopped spreading and the repair worked....... But I have never seen a management team give zero care about a customer the way they did. Secondly I would be very cautious considering they give zero warranty or guarantee their service is going to work! 100% stay away..... they don't deserve your business!

Our appt was at 3pm and They told me that we would get a call in 2 hrs but I realized it was 5pm and no one had called me so I went to the shop and it was closed. I called and there was no answer. No one was there. After I went home the technician called me to tell me my car was ready. There was such lack of communication. The technician was very nice and it wasn't his fault . He agreed that appts shouldn't be at 3pm because customers always get confused and think they're closed when he was actually recalibrating my car. I don't recommend this place.

Another car was there so he worked with both at the same time. The service was fast. I think it was like 20 minutes. I only had a small chip, but the rock didn't do as much damage and didn't penetrate it through far enough. He simply just put something there so that the small thin lines don't crack and spread and filled in the half way chip in. The chip looks the same, I mean its not completely gone or anything. It's still there, but at least it wont spread/crack more which is fine with me. He did let me know if the crack spreads or anything, to come back and he'll fix it. He was pretty chill. To find this location, well, it was hard. The only way I found him was because there was reserved parking with a green sign. The little building/house doesn't have a sign or anything but I think he said he was working on it since he did have some but they got messed up. Its literally right in the entrance to your left. I was getting quotes from other locations and they charge like $69 and would probably do the same job as this guy. This guy charges $40.00 so I got a pretty good deal. I would recommend this place. Its cheaper and its the same type of repair as the others.
