Wow! What an incredible company. Discount Moving was recommend to me by a friend and they made our move so much easier! When I called the receptionist was very sweet and answered all of my questions. A few days later, the owner Mike came to our home and assessed how much furniture we had and gave me an estimated price for free. There was a trip charge but it was included in the estimate. The pricing was very transparent which was a relief. They were able to work with me around closing. On the day of the move the movers arrived right on time and quickly got to work. All of the guys were nice, clean cut, and worked methodically to get our things packed into the truck. The guys took great care of our stuff, using furniture pads and straps to protect our furniture. I was blown away by their efficiency. This would have taken us days and they accomplished it in hours. The guys had to take our doors off the hinge to get our fridge through but they did it with no problems. We met them at the new house and the guys placed the items in their designated areas. As the items came in were amazed by how quickly a house started to feel like our home. When it came time for payment, we received an invoice and payment was super simple! We tipped the guys for their fantastic work and now all we have to do is unpack our smaller items. We have been burned by other moving companies in the past, so I was hesitant to use another company, but I trusted my friend and was so glad I did. I was not so impressed by this moving company as others seem to be. First off, Mike was rude to my wife, and that is no way to be doing business! Secondly, the prices weren't as transparent as the web site seems to imply, and a very small job ended up being excessively expensive. We do understand a minimum charge, but this was ridiculous. read more

Can't say enough about Discount Moving. We had to move 2 houses into 1 house in a fairly short period of time and they were flexible and able to get the job(s) done. The rates are commensurate with other professional movers I have hired, both in Oklahoma and Nevada. I initially hired 3 movers for my home. About 2 hours into the move we received a call that 2 additional movers and another truck had become available. I was asked if I wanted them to join this job to make it quicker. I appreciated this offer, as Discount could have simply charged me the higher rater for the 3 movers and had the job take twice as long to make more money. But, they offered me the 2 additional movers, which of course I paid for, but at a lower rate. This got the job done in half the time for less money. Importantly, Discount Moving did not leave until they were positive we were satisfied. We had an issue with our washing machine, so while I ran to Lowe's Kevin and Miguel waited while I got the necessary part to complete installation. We had 5 guys overall working on our various jobs, and all of them were professional, quick, and courtesy. They moved fast, but it was not at the expense of getting the job done correctly. They left a smaller mess than other movers I have used in the past, and were incredibly helpful regarding installation of large appliances and placement of furniture. Discount was recommended to us by a family friend and I am very glad we used them. Moving is never fun, but Discount made the experience as good as it could be. Very highly recommended. read more

These folks talk a good game but are way short on delivery. They moved us in July and all went OK except for a grandfather clock which worked before we moved and doesn't work now. I called the company and they sent a clock "expert" to check it out. He took out the guts and cleaned them and the clock still didn't work. They claim the normal wear and tear was the cause and refused to get it repaired. I would suggest if you consider these folks and have anything fragile you go elsewhere; it wouldn't be worth the risk! Paula Mike Derek and Miguel all excellent customer service oriented. Paula and Mike are the owners and extremely personable. Derrick and Miquel actually did the moving. They handled all of our belongings with kid gloves! We have a few very expensive custom pieces that they treated as gently and with great ease. Not to mention my mom is under going chemo and radiation treatments so they had to work around her during the move. My thanks to all of them for treating us like family. God bless them. read more

Wasted a week getting arranged with this mover. A person came out, assessed my move, agreed on the date and time. Thirty minutes later called and cancelled the move. I called Two Men and a Truck in Norman, move is back on. I would not recommend Discount Movers.. couldn't get the date right, multiple changes, then cancelled. Not good business. read more

A gentleman came out to bid the job, and had an attitude from the start. Likely because we were doing a lot of the work for them, and they wouldn't be making a full day's worth of money off us. He had quoted a time frame, then started talking about the appliances with us. During a polite conversation on how to move the refrigerator, my husband mentioned that the way he wanted to move it was bad for the refrigerator and the house (and I might mention right here that my husband delivered and installed refrigerators for 7 years at a rate of about 30 per week). The guy immediately responded with "Well, you must not have been very good at your job, but that's okay as I'm not interested in your move". He then walked out the door while talking sh$t under his breath the whole way to his car. To top it off, the card the he handed me said he was the owner. I don't know how this company stays in business if that's how he handles potential customers. read more
