I had the best experience at Discount Tire. I was in the middle of long road trip and saw that my tire was flat. I pumped it full of air and drove to Discount Tire in Atlanta (across the street from Target). Then, Blake squeezed me in, checked out my tire and spotted a screw plus some other damage. Then he squeezed me into the schedule, had a tech repair and carefully check the wheel and got me on my way. I was out of there in 45 minutes which is exactly the expectation he set for me. Oh, and the whole thing was FREE! Seriously! those guys are the best, especially the tech who took care of my Highlander and then explained the whole thing to me. Wow. My husband found a big ol', fat nail in the tire on a late Saturday afternoon. He first went to Tire's Plus and they told him it would be 2 hours before they would even look at the tire. So he decided to go to Discount Tire and the staff came out immediately to assess the nail in the tire. They were able to patch the tire and he was out within 45 minutes. I came in for a flat tire, they repaired the tire with a patch instead of a plug, to which I like. The shop was very clean and the safety protocol was very impressive. First time at this location, but I've been using Discount Tire for years and have bought multiple sets of tires with them. This location is outstanding. Their prices are fair, they offer great brands, installation costs are reasonable as well. I had my vehicle in on a Monday (did that purposely hoping not to have a long wait)- they literally took my keys to begin the new tire installation before I had even paid. I am thrilled to report I now hold Discount Tire in Athens as a preferred vendor. My daughter is in school in Athens and had a flat. Discount Tire was nearby so I called ahead to explain the situation and the team there, mainly Jared, Taylor and Chris went above and beyond the call of duty in helping us get her back on the road in short order. Naturally, being in Atlanta and trying to work a deal 'long distance' (not being able to see the tire myself) I expected to be told nothing short of four new tires would do the trick. However, these fine gentlemen explained the situation, why her tire went flat and offered options should they not be able to, safely, repair the tire. I had a great experience here last week! I got a flat tire and called Chris at Discount Tire and explained my situation. They ordered 2 new tires to the store, and were there in a couple of hours. He was so nice and understanding, and called me when the tires were ready for my car. I drove there with my spare on, and I only waited less than an hour for them to put my 2 new tires on (I was 3rd in line, but the installation only took 15 minutes)! The lobby area is super nice and clean, and there was mostly college students waiting for their tires to be fixed, and they even had free WiFi to work while you wait. I felt super comfortable and safe waiting, and all of the guys who work there were extremely professional, timely, and understanding. The best part is that they did not try to rip me off by trying to sell me more than what I needed. I would reccomend Discount Tire of Athens to anyone with Tire/car issues!! 10/10 read more

Last two times I've purchased tires was from another national chain (starts with and M) and both times when I got to the register the "quoted" drive out price was $30-$40 more.
