Everybody always hates to take the car into a new place and hope that they're treated right and get a good value. Maybe I'm a lucky guy, but I often pick new service places or furniture, stores, etc. and I end up with great service and the value I expected. May because that I'm polite to the people that are going to be charging me and it helps to engage with those you are working with to feel better about your experience. I had to bring my sons car in which was neglected and needed new brakes rotors suspension or at least new, struts all around oil, change filters, etc. and I had a budget in mind on what it would cost. Mavis actually came below the number I expected, it's still not cheap, but Dusty worked me up Best he could and I dropped it off last night and it was ready today with a lot of work done to it and I was shocked! Not only did he come in on price and I was able to go get my car tonight and show my son how to drive it later, it drove fantastic. It felt like new again and I've got a good warranty on the work done for this low mileage, vintage Acura. I was surprised they were able to get all the specialty parts in today and onto the car and delivered to me at the price we talked about and the day earlier than I expected. I see the reviews that people really get upset with timing and workers but we've got to be patient for 2023 because it's hard to keep people to work, the ones that do are the best of the best and if you treat them right and expect some delays in today's world. Arrived at 12:15 and was told it would be 45 minutes to replace two tires. Still sitting here almost 3 hours later. Poor time management, horrible setting customer expectations. I wouldn't have waited 3 hours if I was told the truth about how long. Won't be coming here again. Now, having checked out with these people, turns out there is a rebate they never told me about on 4 tires. I got two but would have considered and likely bought all 4 of they had advised me. The two tires we had replaced do not look new at all, they look used. I was told I need an alignment and was quoted $79, they charged me 139.99 instead because my car is a BMW, not sure why they didn't tell me that since the car was already there! They told us we needed new brakes and rotors but the sensor light was not on and Global Imports just did 100,000 mile inspection and said brakes are still ok. NEVER GOING BACK !!!! So I went into mavis because the tires I bought 6 months ago was needing to be replaced. A they have only been driven 8300 miles with a 65,000 mile warranty and they want me to pay to have them replaced instead of replacing them because it's a driving hazard for having bad tread on front tires. They have told me it would be $100 to replace both tires. I should have to pay anything due to faulty tires. When I purchased the tires I had an alignment done so they should not wear out fast and they are name brand tires worst customer service ever read more

Had a horrible experience at this location (Sept 2022). Brought my Tundra in and left with my rims very damaged and my truck shaking horribly. Have girlies numerous ways to get help with the situation. So far all upon deaf ears! Buyer beware! Poor service and the manager did not care about my complaint. Went there to get a nail removed from a tire. Manager said I would have to wait for 1.5 hours due to staff shortage. I told him I lived 2 miles down the road so I could set an appointment since they were short staffed. He asked what the issue was and I told him. He said that it would take 45 minutes to do the job. I told him it was a 5-10 minute job. The manager laughed and said, "have fun then, boss". When to Advanced Auto Parts to buy a tire patching kit. Timed myself and did the job in 3.75 minutes. I have used the Mavis Tire on Buford Drive near the Walmat for 5 years now, spending close to 10K on tire. Sunday, my wife took her Honda Pilot in for an oil change and the look at one of the tire that was leaking since we bought them there. She dropped the vehicle off early and returned at 4PM only to find that they only did the oil change and did not look at the tire. They told her she come back the next weekend. My wife is a personal nanny and drives young children all over Atlanta, so this was not an option. When she protested she was told by that store manager and some female employee to get the F^@K out of their shop and who the F^@K did she think she was. For any one, let alone a woman, let alone a military veteran be spoken to this way is deplorable. We will never used this Mavis location again and they all can rot in hell. read more

Don't waste your time! I scheduled an appt just to show up at the scheduled day and time and be told they're unable to look at my car today. The receptionist (who was cold and uninterested) notified me that she moved all appts but never booked mine. Very unprofessional. This was my second attempt at this branch, back in June they broke my TPI on brand new purchased tires and caused it to puncture the tires. I didn't realize the issue until the next day when I was out of town and went to that Mavis to get help with the tire. Two very negative experiences. Scam artists. Flat tire and messed up wheel studs. Lie #1- who ever rotated the tires put the hub on wrong. LIE, nobody takes the hubs off to rotate tires. Lie #2-you need a new wheel hub. No, just new studs. I've changed studs on the side of 285 in the rain. You suck. Your trying to pay for that new building by ripping off helpless people in need. We have a logistic company.. where of course our trucks are important. we took our tru k to this place for breaks. then it needed a part. ok, order that part. then it was the wrong part. So ok, 8 days no truck for breaks. Then when the truck was fixed, the garage door shuts, breaks and can't open. so not we are over 15 work days with no truck. Which means no income. Mavis seemed conceded at 1st. Told us to send what we would have made having our truck, loss income. filled out paperwork... and they told us, sorry. Here's a 50.00 gift card.... Through their online system I set up an appointment in advanced for 9:00 am. Later that day I receive a call that their system had been overbooking so that asked me to come at 1:00 pm instead to which I complied. I show up, on time, and they appear confused. My appointment was no longer in the system and they than began to question me if I was at the right store, to which I had to show them confirmation and phone call receipts. I arrive back at 4:00 pm to check in and they assure me I was next. I arrive back at 5:00 pm and my car had still not been touched. I then took my keys back, while overhearing another customer complain that they did not even change their oil. To conclude, I will never trust them with my car nor a task as simple as washing a dog. Worst experience with a tire shop I've had so far. Took a set of BRAND NEW 35 inch tires and wheels to be put on my jeep wrangler and quickly realized these guys must have never touched bigger wheels and tires. To begin I got my jeep back and every tire was filled to 52 psi (should be 28 psi) and every rim had a scratch, two were scratched so bad on the rim they took them back to get them repainted... terrible mistake. After waiting a month I finally got one wheel back and half of the wheel was a completely different finish (there was even what looked to be sharpie drawn over a scratch) and there was a chunk of rubber taken out of my month old tires! Because of this I will not be sending the other wheel back to get fixed I will instead come out of pocket and buy two new wheels to fix their mistake. Tried this place because it was the closest shop to me and thought that since they had "tires" in their name they would know what they're doing, will not be taking and of my family's cars here again. Worst customer service experience ever! We went to Mavis on Friendship Rd to get my car's two back tires replaced. The car was dropped off around 9:30 am on a Sunday, they called us around 2:30pm to let us know the car was ready. When we arrived, we paid (huge mistake) and then went to our car. Instead of replacing the back tires, they replaced the front tires. We get that mistakes happen, so no biggie. They told us they would have the car ready in 30 mins. We see the techs pulls the car out of the garage and drive it around and bring it back in, a bit concerning but they are the experts, or so we thought. 3 hours later, they pull the car out of the garage with the new tires still in the front. They told us they simply did not fit and they were rubbing when they test drove it. I meaaaann, I know very little about cars but know that bmw's have a larger wheel in the back. Also, the tire size is clearly marked in multiple places. When we questioned what was happening one of the techs had the nerve to tell us to take our business elsewhere. They had put the smaller old front tires in the back so here it is closing time and my car is sitting on their lot with her shoes on backwards. We leave frustrated since they offered zero resolution for the day. The next morning my husband goes back into Mavis to speak to the manager who said they would correct the issue. As they day progressed we were concerned that our car would not be fixed. We called the friendship shop for an update around 2 and were told that there was another car in front of ours. You would think they would be willing to quickly correct their mistakes. I called the customer service line multiple time to get the issue escalated and that was also a big joke. The district manager they escalated it to will not start until a few weeks. The customer service reps were rude and did not offer any valid solutions. We finally went back to Mavis after work around 5pm and sat in the parking lot. They finally replaced the tires around 6pm. Basically two days wasted because their tire techs do not know how to figure out tire sizes and there wasn't anyone to hold them accountable. I received a call the following day from a district manager Bill Waters- when we ask for restitution for the ordeal, he told me he would contact the friendship location and call me by lunch. I spent 50 years in the plumbing business so I know good service when I see it. Last week I was 2,000 miles from home, Las Vegas Nevada, and I encountered a flat tire. My friend who I was staying with suggested we drive the tire over to Mavis Tires on Friendship Road to see what we could do. We arrived about 3 pm and they were very busy but we were hoping we could get it fixed by closing time. The man said he would try and when we returned at a little before 6 my tire was pressurized and like new. All auto repair should be this way! read more
