On September 12, 2025, I went to Discount Tire for 12-ply tires for my 8-foot trailer that hauls about 4,400 lbs of water. I asked for 12-ply tires on 13" rims. As the salesperson, Gavin (red hair), showed me different options, I kept repeating that this was to haul 4,400 lbs of water and that they needed to be 12-ply to support the weight. Gavin never once mentioned that 12-ply tires can't go on 13" rims. I was led to believe the entire time that I was getting 12-ply tires. When I arrived to pick up the tires and rims, I noticed they were too small and would not support the weight. Since I was selling the trailer, I wanted to make sure the tires were safe for the new owners. I asked the store manager if these were 12-ply, and he told me they were 8-ply. After reviewing the invoice later, I discovered they were actually 6-ply. I told the store manager about my conversation with Gavin and immediately returned the tires. Honestly, it felt like I was misled because I'm a woman. Since I didn't know that 12-ply tires can't go on 13" rims, I was obviously an easy target. This should have been an opportunity to explain the correct setup -- not mislead me. I own five trailers and two trucks, and I've always trusted this chain for my tire needs. This experience destroyed that trust. Do not trust this store -- they do not care about your safety. I've reported this to Discount Tire corporate and will be forwarding it to the FTC, for deceptive trade practices, once operations resume after the federal funding shutdown. read more

They used to be great. Now they are your typical upselling garbage tire store. Up until recently, (1-1.5 years), they would simply fix what needed to be fixed. Now, instead of 2 tires they tried to say we needed 4. We have lots of vehicles and lots of tires we have brought to them. Effective of today, they have lost our business. The guys who work here will sell you anything than laugh at you when you try to use the 180 tire warranty. At 55,000 miles they would not honor it. MUST READ!! *Brett, Devon, Richard, & Kyle are your go to guys!!* My family & I travel to from Chandler AZ to Kingman often to visit my brother . We drove out and got a flat tire 1.5 hr into the drive. I changed it on the side of the road with our donut and continued on, after our visit we went to discount tires in Kingman to buy a wheel. Once we arrived they showed us we had a huge crack in our rim and unfortunately they did not have our part in. Again, my whole family was packed in the car, about 4 hours out from home. While we let Brett and Devon try to find parts. I went to try to get a rental car which was in turn closed. So with our backs against the wall, these men went above and beyond!! Rich and Kyle grabbed some tools, walked over to the salvage yard and started to look around for us. Luckily they found ONE, popped it off and brought it back 45 minutes before closing!! Popped it on and sent us on our way. Never felt rushed once in this whole process! And although, the one rim was a bit smaller than my original, it was SAFE for me to get home with my family. They also helped order the correct one back home in a city near us. Currently writing this at discount tires in Scottsdale, grateful and thankful for them Kingman staff! Would recommend to anyone! I never made it to conduct business in this store. I have been a customer of discount tire for over 20 years and have visited stores all around the country and I've generally had positive experiences over the years with some one-offs here and there. I own five vehicles. I drive across the country often with my personal vehicle for work, my company generally reimburses me. When I was approached to be helped by the associate who happened to be the assistant manager Mr Ortega, he had Ray-Ban meta glasses on which have the ability to record video. It was highly awkward so I asked what the company's policy was for wearing the glasses. He proudly said that there wasn't one. Not feeling comfortable, I just left. However I did want clarification in case I walk into another discount tire store so I called the customer service line and let the call center associate know my concerns and also that I would like a clarification on the policy. I was called back by the regional manager Carlos, who was pleasant, in direct contrast from the store manager Mr Vas who was aloof and obtuse when he called me essentially not presenting any explanation or displaying any empathy or apology. I got off the phone with him realizing that talking to him was moot. The regional manager explained there was no policy against the glasses so it is my impression that nothing will or has been changed. I explained that the equivalent of wearing the glasses was like an employee holding up their personal cell phone and pointing it at a customer as if there were recording and even if they weren't it still makes people uncomfortable...most important your clientele. I left that day and for the first time in 20 years I bought tires somewhere else. I thought I'd try something different since I had another recent negative experience in a North Carolina store where myself and another gentleman were basically forgotten about for a tire purchase and a tire rotation that also challenged my overall positive impression of discount tire. Feel like the company has become more nickel and dime focusing on more revenue generation than customer service and satisfaction or retention. From what I understand from carlos, the store also engages in training and utilizes video capable eyeglasses. All businesses should utilize analytics and metrics and data gathering, but the core reason why people choose one place over another offering similar prices and similar product offering is the relationships they have and the service received from the people they interact with. After using Discount Tires for 20 plus years I never in my life thought I'd have to write this review. I had a blow out just east of Wikieup. I called DT after getting my spare on and confirmed the Kingman location had the tire I needed. I was advised by Daniel there were two brand options for the tire replacement available--he even quoted me both prices. I advised Daniel I was traveling with 4 small kids and I'd like an appointment. He told me I didn't need one and that the shop would be expecting me. We arrived, Daniel had gone for the day, and even better, the location did not have ANY tire that would work for my car. We would have never traveled to Kingman if Daniel had been honest. So now we are stuck with a 400 dollar tire that we will have to be replaced when we get back to PHX. To make matters worse the failure to give us an appointment provided us a glorious 2 hour wait. We watched at least 4 people come in after us and have their tires replaced. I'm guessing they had appointments and why Daniel didn't just give us a time slot when we requested it baffles me. To top it off, we were given keys to a car that wasn't ours and told the job was done--they hadn't even started our car but rather "mixed up" cars after 90 minutes of waiting! I'll be sure to buy the correct tire replacement I need at any location other than a discount tire when I return to PHX. Do NOT trust this location!! read more

Called to get some tires they said they have them I get up there. They only have three of the tires that I need then they tell me they have something else that'll fit. I sit there for two hours to find out they don't fit. I have to come back tomorrow I have to get a hotel room now because they are not sure what product they have in their stores at this point I wish I would've went with any other tire company because it's too late for me to get tires on my vehicle now I have to travel to California and we can make it so I'm $140 plus $550 for tires. Their discount was not worth it or the hassle maybe just go to a different tire shop if you're in this town so that you know you're going to get what you asked for they do not seem concerned with people traveling. read more

Update on new tires, Sat 5/11, less than a week, I found a screw in one of my tires. Went this morning at 11 to get repaired. The fella that checked me in said I'd probably be there 2 hrs. I'm stuck, fix it. I sat down for the long wait, i was texted the follow your progress thing and decided to look at it(been an hour at this point), it showed my check in time as 12:15 to 12:30 (I think, no longer showing on tracker), also showed my car would be done 1:51. That's NOT a couple hours, that 3 hrs. After I bitched about it, and pointed out a lady with oxygen that was there an hour before me was still waiting for her car to be serviced. Do they listen? No, my car was ready and then they pulled hers in. DISCOUNT, you don't need to contact me, just train your people to enter the times correct ( looks like they're trying to fool the timers). I have or members of my family have been here on multiple occasions and without a doubt have received superior customer service. The last time I went was on Monday 9/9/2024. I had just finished my grocery shopping nearby and came out to find one tire had a screw in it. I immediately drove to Discount Tire and was assisted. What I want to acknowledge is gentleman who assisted me -- Devon. He helped me get my perishables into the waiting area and out of the heat while they worked in my car. Pros: Staff are very nice and polite. Prices are somewhat decent, especially if they have a special. Warranty is decent as well. The free air station is awesome and the guys that man that station have always been pleasant. Cons: All the tires I buy from this store don't seem to last very long and often run into issues with them like slow leaks. Appointments times often missing the mark. Time delays vary, but I've waited an hour before being called in the waiting area after showing up on time to my appointment. read more

I guess angels come in different forms. So I'm on a 2+k road trip across CA and AZ and on a monster leg when wifey needs a coffee. I jam into a town, flip the car around and curb the front right. OUCH is an understatement. I jump out and toy dismay I have totally nailed my tire. I see this establishment on google and limp in. I now hope your management read this..... - The shop was spotless - All technicians were wearing gloves and safety goggles ( over 100 degrees outside in desert town) - The floor was cleaner than the tables in most of the eateries we visited on the trip. - Dennis greats me, comes out to look at the tire and books me in to flip the spare. - Within 10 mins the car was in the bay and the tech working on it was so fast I thought he was training for the Olympics. & the car was left the way it was found, he was in a glass inspection bay and was meticulous, registered everything and very careful with my wounded baby ! The worst part for me is they did this free of charge and refused to accept any payment, like I wasn't feeling bad enough already ! Anyhow, this store and staff, should be a poster child or North Star for you ! they were polite, expedient, professional and left us feeling like there are angels and there is hope after all ! - this became a highlight in what was a pretty shitty moment ! I needed my ATV tire patched and just stopped by to see about the cost and wait time... The patch was free and edit time was less than 20 minutes. They were fast friendly and provided exceptional customer service. Also, I got a "low tire" warning so stopped by and they had a station set up to pull up and get your tires checked and filled immediately. My girlfriends and I were on a road trip to AZ and make a pit stop to get our tires checked. Donny was the young man that educated us on tire pressure and where to locate it. He checked our tire pressure for all four tires and when we needed additional help with a sensor, we had the service manager Rudy step in to help us. My teenager was driving out from Southern CA to Flagstaff, AZ to visit his sister at NAU when he experienced a flat tire on the Interstate 40 in the middle of nowhere. The whole situation stressed me out due to where the flat occurred and the fact he didn't have a full size spare. So, I called Discount Tire in Kingman and asked if they could help him. I wanted a new tire on it since he still had a long drive ahead of him and a return trip home a few days later. A very helpful and friendly guy named Hyrum answered my call after 5pm and assured me they would help him when he arrived. My son pulled up a little after they closed and they were able to replace the spare (donut) tire with a brand new one and get him back on the road within 30 minutes. I just wanted to give this business a shout out for saving the day for my kiddo, and saving this mom from extra stress. On the way to Kingman, Arizona to visit family for Christmas, I ended up with a flat tire... long story short, I was lucky enough to have a full-size spare to get me the rest of the way, but of course, I needed to get the damaged tire repaired and back on the car. After calling around I found that Discount Tire will repair (most) flat tires for FREE! I took my car into the shop and was politely greeted by the staff, who immediately took care of my tire. They replaced the spare with the newly repaired tire and I was on my way in about 30 minutes. They also checked the rest of my tires (all of which are in great shape)... I appreciate this level of customer service and the FREE repair (which other tire shops in the area quoted ~$20 to do), plus the quick turnaround. read more
