My VW had a problem or two. They diagnosed and repaired it quickly for the amount of work that was needed. They dropped me off at my home & picked me up, even washed my car. I'm new to the area & had difficulty finding the right mechanic. At TNT they are friendly, professional and very understanding. I've found a mechanic I can trust, which is a challenge for women. So far no problem with the work done; however, their business practice and overall integrity of upfront procedure is abysmal. They have a sign that says use of credit cards incur an additional fee. OK, then check. While writing out check, counter person says, "That's not an out of state check is it?" First time customer, over a year residence in Kingman in private home, Kingman address on check, Arizona driver license with same address....not good enough for their office manager's procedure. Use credit card and counter person cuts fee in half. I would have gladly paid the entire fee.....just to drive home my point that they lack integrity to the point of gouging. On a road trip headed through kingman and we stopped for lunch and noticed a clanking from the engine compartment. We were recommended this place and they had us going the next day. Turns out our water pump had gone out. What was really special is they picked us up to and from the hotel we stayed at while the repair was going on and I have two kids under 3 so that's no small deal. Terrible service. My mom made an appointment there for a diagnostic. They lied to her, telling her they'd call her back with the mechanic, but they didn't. They literally didn't even bother to fix her car or communicate with her about what was going on on their side with her car. She was there twice, and nothing was done. This place is an absolute joke. If they had it their way with the crazy counter lady, they would've charged my mom 5 hours plus just to diagnose her car at 140 an hour. I've never heard of such obscene rates. They literally thought since my mom is a woman, they could play her like most mechanics do. It wasn't until my dad intervened that they actually started respecting my mother. The lady in the front is super annoying and doesn't understand anything about mechanic work. They charge $140 an hour to look at your car; that's double the dealership price. Receptionist was super super rude , not understanding of the situation & has an attitude. Estimated time was pushed back by a lot over some little problem. The price that was said out the door doubled even tripled over each phone call all because there "was more unnecessary shit to be fixed " & when I asked for the process to be stopped the receptionist made excuses as to why it would take another hour for him to place the coolant back in the engine ... On the way back from the Tucson gem & mineral show, our 2003 sprinter van 2500 started showing all the signs of a clogged fuel filter about 15 miles outside of Kingman. Wanda at the front desk was very responsive and knowledgeable with a great attitude and vibe. We had to wait a few days for the filter to arrive (we ordered it ourselves from NAPA) and for a winter storm to pass, but we enjoyed our time in Kingman. Wanda recommended a great RV park (Fort Beale) and good restaurants. They were able to save us about 25 gal of diesel that we thought might have been bad, but they tested it, and it was ok. Wanna talk about a one star review, we can talk about this. I am 20 years old and on a round country road trip with my cousin who is 18 years old. We ended up breaking down on a Thursday night and brought it to Wanda hoping she'd help us. She told us to come in and she'd take care of us. We had previously taken the car to Jiffy Lube Atleast 3 times during this trip for oil and regular maintenance checks because it's an older car (2005 Pruis). And when we brought it in we had lost our serpentine belt which caused malfunctions to that entire system (being the water pump and radiator). Mind you we have never heard of anything wrong with the radiator before? THE RADIATOR MAKES THE CAR GO.. The quote that Wanda ended up giving us was OVER $1800????? Yeah right. So we took it up the road to Holden Auto where we got a price 3x less than that amount? Yeah right. And when they inspected our car THE RADIATOR CAP THAT WAS THERE PREVIOUSLY WAS GONE. Not to mention triple charging and lying about labor charges to us then telling our parents something completely different. I'm an 18 year old girl on a road trip with my 20 year old girl cousin. We got quoted $1800 to fix my 2005 Prius. We went to Holden's and got everything fixed for $500. I grew up in a family of mechanic and know that when my driver belt comes off that doesn't mean I need a whole new radiator a new water pump and 6 hours of work. Holden's put on a new belt, replaced my radiator cap that mysteriously went missing, and flushed my coolant. And Wanda sucks and belittled is multiple times. read more

They are absolutely THE BEST. They were so caring about our situation and responsive and professional. They started helping right away. The car was towed to their shop and they had it fixed and out the door in just 3 hours and that included getting the part delivered. They started working on it even before the part came so it would be ready to install as soon as the part arrived. My husband and I were driving a 1998 Land Rover from San Diego to Seligman, AZ last weekend, which admittedly didn't seem like a great idea for many reasons beyond just the age of the car. About 20 miles outside of Kingman, at 3pm the Friday of Veteran's Day weekend, the tach dies and the battery light comes on which usually means one thing. I started calling service centers, and TnT was the only one that seemed to have any experience with older European cars. Miraculously we limped into town and got to the shop just before 4pm. Wanda was able to pull a mechanic to look at it, and as we suspected the alternator was going out. No one has parts for a 98 Land Rover Discovery just sitting around. We figured with the holiday and it being a Friday afternoon, we were going to need to leave the car for several days at best. I had a mild panic attack since we left our toddler with grandma and I needed to be back at work Monday morning. Instead, Wanda got a part ordered from Phoenix and said someone could deliver it that night. Then, they called in a mechanic on his day off (Kevin I believe?) and told us he would be there at 8am to put in the part. We were literally back on the road before 9am Saturday morning. Days later and I'm still amazed at the service we received. The price was so incredibly reasonable given all the circumstances. We were on our way to the Grand Canyon in our 2015 Forest River Forester when a warning light for emissions control came on and warned of a possible shut down. We found TNT in a Google search and called. Wanda answered and make us feel more relaxed saying to come on in and she would have someone get right on it. Arriving Wanda introduced us to their tech Justin. What a marvelous experience. Justin did a diagnostic on our vehicle and quickly determined that a sensor needed to be reset. Justin was articulate and explained the entire situation and more. Sent us on our way within and hour. We cannot say enough about our outstanding experience here at TNT Auto. This is my first and only review that I will ever give on Yelp. I am one of those believers that the internet is/Yelp breeding ground for the unpleasant voiceless generation. However, after not being able to file a complaint with the BBB this was my next best option. TNT Auto Repair is a absolute rip-off. While driving from Flagstaff to Vegas my transmission started acting up. Car went into 'limp mode.' I thought I could drive it to get all the way to Kingman and evaluate the problem. It didn't happen and I required a tow from Williams to Kingman. Desperate, I called around and decided to have the car towed to TNT. It was around 3:00 PM when they got the call and I pleaded with them to stay open until I could get there. The desk lady Wanda was more that accommodating telling me that they will stay until I get there, which was about 10 minutes past closing time. That type of customer service was appreciated and I thought they were a trustworthy company. The tow arrives and I visit with the Wanda and tell her the problems. Transmission, overheating and I snapped a belt. She says they will take a look. I am feeling confident I made the right decision to stop at TNT. Fast forward 24 hours later, I arrange for the car to be towed to Vegas (my home) to have my mechanic evaluate the damage. I call TNT to let them know and was wanting whatever bill I owed. I anticipated some charges. Wanda sends me the invoice and I was charged $416.33! I almost fell out of my chair. I asked what the charges were for and she indicated diagnosis of the damages to the car. I was the one who told her what the damages were! She indicated the total cost of repair to be in the $6200 range and that the $416 would be credited towards that repair. I know how garages work and I know their time is valuable. However, I was not called nor told of what my estimate to evaluate the already known problems to be. YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE CUSTOMER OF EXPECTED CHARGES AND EXPECTED WORK TO BE DONE PRIOR TO PREFORMING THE WORK! I was not notified of any of this. In fact, they even replaced the belt that was snapped without my approval. I would have gladly paid for a fair diagnosis, but was not given the opportunity to visit prior to them arbitrarily working on my car. Plus, their hourly rate was not in plain sight within the office. They preyed on the out of state plates and took me to the cleaners. I am glad that my own diagnosis of overheating, transmission issues, and snapped belt cost me $416 for them to confirm this. Best part about the entire experience is they actually mailed me a customer satisfaction survey. I would suggest they should reevaluate that practice. DO NOT VISIT THIS PLACE. read more

My car wouldnt even make it back home after they touched it. Once I got the car back home removed oil cap and found sand. My family has been taking our VW here for years, and we have been very loyal customers, but when they quoted us over $1000 and two days to fix the struts on our car we had to go get a second opinion, which was $400 less at the Honda dealership and at maximum going to take 2 to 3 hours. Because this is our only car we often take TnT up on their offer of taking us home, until suddenly they tell us it's too far, despite knowing that was our only way home without a car, and suggested we rent. So be prepared if you're taking your car in for something that's not too routine you're probably not going to get your vehicle back for at least a day for they work on it between the quicker jobs, even if you bring it in there first thing, or try to make an appointment. Their customer's time, the inconvenience, and value means nothing to them. And lately with money there's always an open end to it, can never give us a definite price or time for our car to be fixed, leaving us waiting in a cramped, cigarette smoke smelling waiting room for a questionable amount of time with little to no feedback on what's going on. Now seeing how much more they have been charging us we feel violated and cheated for all the money wasted in this place. UPDATE;; After taking our car in and having it looked at it was not the struts but the bushings that were causing the problem. Driving through Arizona we began to have car trouble. An employee at O'Reilly's recommended TNT for foreign cars. We called ahead and spoke with Wanda, we told her what the make and model was and she said, no problem bring it in. She never gave us a price to look at it, until they already had the keys and we thought to ask. She quoted us $125 to look and more if to repair. The mechanic came to speak to us after about an hour and a half saying he did not know much about our car, but had a few ideas to "try". We were eager to get back on the road so we were hopeful he could. After 2 1/2 hours he then came to us to say he put the car back together, but does not know what is wrong with it. Wanda then charged us $225.72 and said "Good luck." They had done nothing. We believe if you don't know what you are doing, you should let the person know and not charge if you don't fix it. They did not even perform any sort of diagnostic test. Wanda was a true gem with her fake smile as she sent us off. Totally felt taken advantage of. read more

After Three years of dealing with a defective air conditioner in my VW Jetta Sportswagen with Findley VW in Flagstaff (a thoroughly disgusting experience), I finely started looking for another shop to fix the car. I choose wrong ! The new place (in Kingman) worked on it from April until August, kept handing it back to me as repaired, which it wasn't ! Finally, I was told that they coudn't read a code, but VW or TnT auto could. I took it to TnT auto and the mechanic put the car in the bay. He soon called me over and showed me the condition of the car. There were loose nuts, a broken bolt on the air compressor the wiring looked ragged, etc. he did some tests and told me what it was going to cost and when it would be ready. He was right in every way. It has now been a month and the A/C works like it should. I give these people who own and run TnT auto my thanks for everything they did ! read more
