I rounded the curb and got a flat tire just as I was picking up the grands from school! Called AAA and a tow truck was there at the school within 20 minutes! The next morning, I rolled into Discount Tire and within 35 minutes, I was riding off with a new (and fully warranted) tire! The service was top-tier! My tire was in the back. The tech came out and took the data, walked me in (with baby in-tow) and I purchased the tire and had a seat. I was skeptical to go this location because everytime I have came, even with an appointment, there is a line, making it usually pointless to even get an appointment. However, it didnt make sense to go out of my way to another store if I had a slow leak in my tire, so I decided to chance it and try one more time to make an appointment and see what happens. First off, the lines nearly out the door were nonexistant. I was the 2nd person in line for a 4:30 appointment. I arrived 30 minutes early to my surprise but I was prepared with my work computer in case I had to wait a long time. The technicians, despite the steady flow of traffic to get customers attended to, still greeted people as they came in and told them they'd be with them in a minute. Crew members working the front desk did the same. The store has even been updated with a few modern and posh finishes to give it a upscale feel. Once I was processed, I was told the approximate wait time, which I appreciated but I really didn't pay attention to because its usually not on point. However, when I responded that I was good with the time; I came prepared with my laptop, I was kindly reminded that they offerred free wifi. Don't mind if I do! I sat by the counter facing Broadway and setup my workstation and despite the convenience of the wifi, the people around me waiting were some real jaw jabbers- thet talked so LOUD. I worked really hard to not be distarcted by the noise. I regretted leaving my headphones in the car. Next time, if you like quiet like me, make sure you bring yours! I thought my plan worked perfectly since I ended up with a lenghty task at work that would take about the usual time I would be at the tire shop, which is typically and hour and half, but it seems that soon as I was getting into the groove of working and blocking out the loud talkers, they called my vehicle's car out and stated it was ready. I was throughly surprised. I had to just close my workstation down and rush out the door. I didn't even see or hear the text message that my car was ready. When I looked at my time of exit, they finished the job and even rotated my tires in 30 to 45 minutes. This was a weekday, so I wouldn't even dare expect the same time stamp if it was Friday or the weekend, but I think they maybe actually following their schedule and not just taking in people at this location now, which is appreciated. Mind you, I made my appointment that am around 1pm. Making an appointment does not have to be a couple of days prior, so just go online and make it when you figure out what your availability is to go. After this visit, I'm willing to go to this location again. I'll just make sure I continue making an appointment when I come. read more

I've been going to this store for the past 4 years and today was the best experience I've had. I was on my way to daycare drop-off and then work and I stopped to have air put in my tires. The guy( I wish I paid attention to his name) noticed one was very low compared to others and I told him this happened a couple weeks ago as well. He actually took the time to have me turn my tire different angles so he could look and he found the nail. I parked and before I could fully load my toddler in the stroller, Kyle showed up and looked at the tire and took me inside to give me the prices for a new tire. I wasn't fully comprehending the prices he was giving me as I was focused on my toddler not jumping out of the stroller. He let me come around and look at the screen myself and he patiently explained everything. In the mist of this, I spilled my coffee on the lobby floor. With no hesitation Kyle told me do not worry about it and he handled it. Before I could pay, a tech came and grabbed my keys. I sat in the lobby less than 20 minutes and they had replaced 2 tires and I was out. I was still able to drop off my toddler and make it to work on time. I had a good experience when I showed up at my scheduled appointment - Tyler helped me. After checking my car's tire, he explained the year when the tire was built and to my surprised 2017. I required a replacement at this time due to wear and tear as well condition of the tires. After providing the estimate and the cost seems reasonable - I was surprised that it only took no more than 30 minutes and I was all done. Highly recommended for the prompt service. The only reason I rated less than 5 stars was due to after installation - noticed the tires does not look new due it looked dirty with white stuff and some sticky residues. I had to wash the tires and applied Simoniz foaming tire shine to bring the black tire side look as well as for me to feel I have new tires when I look at it. The warranty and additional cost approx. $145 for protection in the event of tire mishaps were good for the entire life of the tires. read more

I went to Discount Tire on May 20th because my tire pressure light came on. After a quick inspection, they told me my tread was bad and recommended replacing two tires. I trusted their judgment and spent almost $900 on new tires (Sales Receipt #5038668099), expecting that a full inspection would be done -- especially since I drive a Tesla Model Y Performance and came in for a pressure warning. I drove straight home and parked in my garage. The very next day, May 21st, the tire pressure light came on again. I took the car to a different Discount Tire location, and they quickly pointed out that the rim might be cracked -- something the first store completely missed or failed to mention. When I went back to the original store, all they said was, "Yeah, you have a crack," and gave me a referral to a rim welding shop. No apology, no explanation, no ownership of the fact that they mounted new tires on a damaged rim -- even though I initially came in for a pressure issue. This experience was frustrating. They focused on selling tires without thoroughly investigating the real cause of the warning light. Whether the crack was missed or ignored, it shows a lack of attention to detail and concern for safety. Bottom line: I came in with a warning light, spent almost $1,000, and left with the same problem -- only to discover a cracked rim they should have caught. If you go here, don't assume they'll fully check your wheels -- ask questions and inspect things yourself before you leave. read more

I've been here twice so far and though it can get busy, the service has always been pretty exceptional. The workers don't feel like they rush you into making a decision and take the time to understand what you need along with making recommendations you might need. They didn't feel like they were trying to upsell on things like I normally would feel at a dealership or something. I've gone twice, once to replace my tires and the other to get my tire fixed. Both times were walk-ins and we're done with an hour or two, usually quicker than they estimated. When I say the team there is awesome, I mean it. My experiences have been nothing short of great every visit between this week and last. Here is the story, started getting that notorious low tire pressure light about a week or so ago. So, I paid a visit to Discount Tire, only to find out it was a leak, not because of a nail, or hole in the tire, but a bad rim. Who authorized the rim to go bad. Now after, 1 week of making a drive to Discount to top that tire off, everyday except "Sunday" (they are closed), how can you be closed we need you everyday. So, everyday I cruised in about the same time between1:30pm and 3:30pm. Of course you make ask, what was so important about this visit , right? This part, majority of the days it was the same gent at the air station with the friendliest and polite attitude. Even when it was in the 40's and raining. He always had a pleasant smile. He looked up my account up, what size tires my son purchased before, got the military discoubt and even told me he could send the mobile guy to my home. I work from home, but I am a caregiver for my father and can't just leave for five hours at a time. Kevin came to the house and was so nice and fast. Let's start with the positive: I receive my service and my tires in a reasonable and timely manner and fair price. Now let's get to the unforgivable: I am relatively young and suffer from moderate tremors. For some reason, the staff there took it upon themselves to start making comments about drug use and abuse within earshot, specifically concerning cocaine, crack, and meth use. They made comments that I looked dirty, (it was laundry day), and that I looked like a drug addict. I spoke with management, to no avail, with an impressive display of gaslighting by the store manager there, William Galloway. Clearly, I will never go there again, and neither should you. Had a very minor leak (low pressure would show every 5-6 days) and DT wouldn't even look at the tire due to the tread depth given by its scanner. Turns out I had a nail and got a $20 patch. So grateful for the guys working at this location. If I could rate higher I would. My tire blew on my way home from work and I thought I'd ride on it to this location to be serviced the next day as it was 6 minutes until their closing time. Marcus went over and beyond and told me they could fix my tire before I went home for the night. This took so much stress off of me because I wouldn't have to worry about finding a place for my toddler to go and find a way to work the next morning. The staff here accommodated me and I'm so gracious because they could have turned me away. The service was great, the quality was also great but their customer service really makes them stand out. I was out driving all around town working yesterday and my tire pressure light was on... One of my tires was on 15 psi, ahhh! I stopped here asking if they can look at it for me. I believe it was Eric who checked me in. (They have little handheld devices to check you in now.) I explained my situation. He said at the moment it was going to be 2 hours for service. It's late Friday afternoon and I still had more work to do so I declined the service wait. Eric offered to have complimentary air put in my tires to get me to my next destination. I brought my car here yesterday to do TPMS transfer from my OEM wheels into my aftermarket wheels and when they finished doing everything and putting my wheels back on my car, they broke 2 lug nuts, they snapped it in half and they kept insisting that the lug nuts that I have wasn't meant for my car, but when I went to the mechanic that one of their employees told me to go to, not the manager that I talked to that he said he doesn't any shop that I can go to, that you're not supposed to put too much torque on the lug nuts. I myself has taken my aftermarket wheels off many times and didn't had anything like this. I'm just thankful that the mechanic from Cruz N Carz really helpful and customer service is really. Chandler is one of the Assistant Managers at this location and was extremely knowledgeable. He gave me several options with pros/cons without being overly pushy. I appreciated his customer service. As a long time customer of Discount Tire, I can tell you that there are times when you wait longer. They are closed on Sunday so naturally, Monday is going to be a very busy day. Naturally, Saturday is also a busy day. They can set appointments and I personally think they try their best to honor the appointment time. However, the world isn't perfect and sometimes you just have to wait. As I mentioned above, Chandler was a big help to me so I would suggest you ask for him. Bottom line - A national chain with 1000 locations. They can stand behind their warranty at any location around the country. Same customer service at every location. I was in Houston for the weekend and noticed a screw in my tire as I was about to drive back to Denton! I stopped at the Pearland store and it was insanely busy but everyone was happy & friendly. I have used Discount Tire several times to replace tires on my cars, and it has always done an excellent job for me. But today, I had a different experience. Yesterday, I ordered a tire by phone to pick up at the store when it came in. This morning, I received a call telling me it was ready for pickup. When I went in to pick up the tire, the clerk asked if the salesman had told me that if Discount Tire didn't install the tire, I would have to pay for the tire in cash. Of course, my salesman never said that to me. They told me that this was a "company-wide policy" because of fraudulent purchases by people using numbers that they had stolen. Since tires that aren't installed can't be associated with a specific person's car, it's easier for crooks to defraud the store. Of course, that won't happen if the store used best practices to identify those using credit cards with photo ID. I don't use cash, especially for large transactions, because carrying cash around is an invitation to robbery, and credit card transactions give a level of protection to the consumer that he doesn't have when paying with cash. I asked them to make an exception. "Nope." I asked them to contact some higher up in the company to make a connection. "Nope." That's poor service in my mind. I'll be using other tire dealers in the future. read more

I gotta say the wait is pretty long but I really appreciate the guys here working so hard in the heat to get my tire service done and running around to find the cars in the parking lot. Yes we did wait for a long time. And I would recommend that even though there is a check in sign outside, it does not count as u being in line until you got to check in with the computer. They do have to look up your information and u have to pay for the service first before u get in line. Save yourself hours and park, the go inside to check in at the line with the computers. I have been coming to this location since I moved to Pearland. This last visit prompted me to write a review ASAP. I recently had a flat and could not change the tires because the dealership I purchased my car from did not leave me the key to the wheel locks. Luckily I was able to get it patched roadside. A month went by and I noticed a small leak. I was about to take a road trip and did not want to chance for a flat and no way to change the tire. I went in and they said they would take a look at no charge and take off the wheel locks for a small fee. Robert explained everything and quoted me on different levels of tires just in case. The place was packed but soon enough my car was getting checked out. They took a look at my patched tire and said it would need to be replaced. My other tires were still good but needed to be changed shortly so I went ahead and told them to change them all. I told the individual what Robert quoted me and he changed my tires. When it came time to pay the price was higher than quoted. Robert said they put a slightly better tire on. He dropped the price to the original quote because he said it was the right thing to do. He also didn't charge to cut the wheel locks off because I was already paying for 4 new tires. Now that's great customer service. Michael walked me out and explained about tire rotations and made sure I was happy with the service I received. On my road trip I noticed the one of the tires was reading 58 PSI. I knew it was not right so I took it in when I got back to town. This was when the weather changed and the line to check tire pressures was about 15 cars deep. I happened to see Robert and he got in my car and hooked it up to a machine and had it reset and on the road in minutes. Again, great customer service.
