Warning to Customers! Be cautious when purchasing tires from this location. I initially bought two new tires, and a couple of months later, I purchased the other two. After six months, I went back to have my tires checked for air, only to be told that one of them needed to be replaced and couldn't be repaired because it wasn't purchased from Discount Tire. I informed the manager that all four tires were bought from their store, and he even pulled up my receipt to confirm it. However, upon further inspection, he claimed that the damaged tire was not from Discount Tire and was older than six months. He also checked their system and found that they didn't even have that specific tire model in stock when I originally purchased mine. This means that despite paying for four brand-new tires, someone at this location installed an old, used tire instead. Make sure to double-check that the tires you paid for are the ones actually installed on your vehicle! read more

I don't recommend them First I had an appointment I arrived 15 minutes early he told me with an appointment they would only make me wait 30-45 minutes no longer So then he went to check my tire I only needed a patch Without even taking it to the back to get it checked out he said I had a previous push plug in the tire and if they see that they can't do anything for me that I need a brand new tire $169 I left there and went to another shop and they patched it right away. There needs to be a more efficient system for those with appointments. I had a 8am appointment. I arrived at 7:55 am. I had to wait in line for 20 minutes to check in. There should be a separate line for people with appointments or there should be an online check In feature. What's the point of allowing appointments if you're gonna allow people who got here before you opened to go ahead of me. I was there early but couldn't get checked in on time because of your poor check in process. read more

The only reason the stars are not 1 is because the manager came right out. This review is based on the Tire Check. I stopped by to have the air in my tires checked. A worker directed me to the other side entrance to have it checked. Done. I drive around the bldg and pull in to where I was directed. Another car soon followed. I waited a minimum of 25 minutes for service. Myself and the other cars waiting in line we're completely ignored. No one acknowledged us or even gave a wait time. The service should have been quick. There were about 5 people in the garage and only ONE car was being worked on. ONNEEEEEE!!! The car behind me left. I called the phone number to discount tire then asked to speak with a manager. I told him Jason the manager what was going on. He apologized and immediately came out. The manager put air in my tire and after apologized again for his INCOMPETENT STAFF. read more

This is my second time here, the first time I was happy with my tire rotation and customer service. This day it's raining outside as I arrived 10 minutes prior to opening- as I tried to open the door, I realized it was locked. They had wait for 3 hours to replace my tire and they returned it to me with 2 missing lug nuts out 5??? Like are you serious? Then they tried to say that it was already broken. Now I have to go figure out lug nuts because I have to finish work on the north side. They were perfectly fine before I took it there. I tell you what, I am so glad I came here to get my new tires. The week before Thanksgiving, I was in a near death accident. It was raining really bad and I was driving on the freeway at about 40 mph when I tried to change lanes...my car started messing up. I could not turn my steering wheel (the steering wheel locked in place) then my car didn't stop when I pressed the brakes... Hint here: I've never experienced hydroplaning in my life. My car was just going and I started to scream and said, "Car stop". I was so scared. It was inches away from hitting an exit sign on 45. I was afraid!! The reason why my car did this was because I had no more threading on my wheels. The next day I went up to discount tire and a nice guy, David assisted me to fixing the problem. He was so kind and smiley. My dad just kept on complimenting David on how nice he was.. I enjoy my tires. They are sturdy and full of threading, though the only problem I have is the presentation on the tires look dirty. I guess I will just have to go to the car wash to get that done. This place is right next door to the .99 cent only store, so it is good to shop the store while your car is getting worked on. I usually go to the one in Pearland, but I might just start coming to this one since it is closer to my area. read more

This is probably one of the best locations I've been to. I came early on a Saturday morning and sure enough the place was packed. Even before I got to the door an employee came to meet me outside. He walked with me to the car to address the problem. I had a tire pressure light come on. The temperature had dropped so I thought maybe it was just a problem with all tires so he checked them all. But only 1 was lower. So it had to be an individual tire problem not a general pressure drop. They gave me a reasonable expectation, he said about 45 minutes to get it checked out and depending on the problem a little bit longer. I walked across the street to the gym and when I came back they had my truck ready. There was a small nail, they patched it up and I was good to go. That particular tire was still from the factory, but I have always bought my replacement tires from Discount and get the certificate so that if they cannot repair it they will replace it. It makes it so much easier to do business with a company when they give you such good service when you aren't even buying anything from them. read more

There's a reason Discount Tire is the best tire retailer in America - excellent customer service. I recently found a screw in my right rear tire, picked up while driving one of Houston's super-clean freeways, and my dashboard - which has one of those fancy TPMS things built in - said the tire was going flat. So I brought it by this particular location (I've been to many others, even in another city) and they looked up my information. I had purchased Road Hazard (that's the special warranty EVERYONE should buy when they get tires here) so I got my tire repaired without spending any more money. They got me out of there in a reasonable period of time. Even better - I swear my car drives better - they must have done some kind of wheel balancing or adjustments on the other three wheels because driving off the lot, the car had a "tighter" ride in a good way. I woke up this morning and discovered my right rear tire was on flat. Bummer! Got out the handy spare, and placed the flat tire in the trunk. Some how,I had a big ass nail stuck in the tire. I went to my local discount tire expected to come out of pocket at least $150. Talked to the guy at the desk who informed me that this was an easy fix and I did not need a new tire. I was like cool, but was thinking that instead of $150, I'm out maybe $50. Nope, everything was free, including the tire rotation. I signed up for the text alert when the car was finished and promptly walked across the street to chickfila to hang out and eat untill the car was ready. I was sent a text about 30 minutes later, walked back to Discount and within 5 mins I was back on the road. Great service and experience today. read more

So I noticed that I've gone over 16,000 miles without rotating my tires. I knew to rotate it bc I had a nail In my tires and my light came on. I was freaked out about getting into an accident bc of a blown tire. I took my car to discount tires immediately. I went to another location near (Edgebrook). The guy told me that he recommended for me to replace 2 new tires for $611.33!!!!!!......... Um my car ain't even 1 1/2 yrs old!!! I called this discount tires N talked to them. I hate it when you go to places like this as a woman and they try to sell you shit like you're an idiot. This discount tires told me that they rotate for free but didn't tell me that I needed new tires. But balancing would be $40 for a one time deal or $64 for lifetime. I opted for the $64 life time deal since I know that I'll be back here a few more times before I will need to buy new tires. so apparently are supposed to rotate and balance our tires every 6,000-8,000 miles. I didn't know that. So..... if u need to go to discount tires, go to alameda location, not Edgebrook. I don't like it when people try to BS with me :) read more

The store on Almeda Genoa Rd in Houston TX was amazing. I ordered 4 new tires online. They called me as soon as the tires were available and sent me reminders for my appointment time... even offered me a chance to come in a few days earlier. I ended up keeping my 8am appointment. When I got there check in was easy and even though it was early All the guys were friendly and smiling while assisting other guests. I was quoted an hour wait time, I swear I was out in and out in less than 35 mins. Definitely would recommend. read more

I was in and out with 2 leaking tires. Everyone I interacted with were consistent friendly and listened to me. I've been to other car places where I'm talked down to or encounter an indifferent attitude because I'm a girl and they assume I'm an idiot who can't properly explain my problem, comprehend what they've found out about my tires, and am too stupid to recognize that they're trying to oversell me on something that I don't need. Let me first start off by saying if I could give this place zero stars... I definitely would. I went to discount tire to get one of my tires checked because there was a nail in it... Keep in mind that these are brand-new tires, my vehicle is not even a month old. A thin nail seemed to be either stuck in the tread or the tire, but even if it was stuck... there wouldn't be much in there being more than half of the nail was bent. I'm a woman who knows a good amount about cars and should not have been taken advantage of. I didn't want to remove nail myself without a professional looking at it first. I drove up to the garage area where they usually check air pressure and one young guy walked up to me and asked me what I needed. Without even getting a good look at the nail ( being that the tire with nail portion was positioned more towards the bottom ) he instantly told me it was UNREPAIRABLE and that I needed a brand new one. I mentioned getting it patched up and he said there's nothing they could do. Wow! He sent me inside where I spoke to someone about it and that guy checked it and well well... the nail wasn't even in the tire but ONLY STUCK ON THE TREAD. That's funny because I had a bigger thicker nail in an old car of mine and had it patched up. My family goes there to get there tires whenever they need them and once I told all of them what this place was trying to do to me... none of them will ever be going there again. They lie and take advantage of women..who knows if the guy even told me the truth about the nail being in the tread? Could've been a coy to leak air for me to have to come back to get another. Let me start off by saying I purchase the lifetime rotation and balance for my tires at the discount tire down the road 45 and Monroe when I went there they would give me the run around. I was actually worried about going to this one since the building looked older and not up to date, boy was I wrong I took my truck here and had the tires rotated and balanced with no issues in and out, unlike their other office where they told me they wouldn't rotate them for whatever reason. Also they suggested to buy some tires once I told them no they accepted it and didn't bring it up again. My light came on 4 days later so i went to another location and they found something in my tire and fixed it. This review is based on customer service. Called Mr. Bruce about some tires, and he said they were available and that he can get my car in as soon as i get there. When i got there my car got in within 10 mins. I was also informed that the senior tech that installed four new tires is taking a while is because he wants to make sure the car doesn't get scratch and wants to take his time. A++++ thats all i care about when coming to these places. Plus i don't want any scratches or dents on mr EVO!
