I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this location. This morning, I brought my SUV in because I had a damaged tire. I agreed to purchase a replacement tire, dropped off my vehicle, and informed the sales representative that I would return after my appointment. When I arrived around 5:30 PM to pick up my vehicle, I was shocked to see it sitting in the exact same spot where I had left it that morning. No work had been completed. When I asked why my tire had not been replaced, the staff initially acted as though they were unaware my vehicle was even there. After several minutes, they finally informed me that the tire had never been delivered and that the delivery company was already closed. What frustrated me most was the complete lack of communication. Not once during the entire day did anyone call to update me, explain there was a problem, offer an alternative tire option, or simply give me a heads-up that the work would not be completed. On top of that, there was no apology and very little empathy shown for the inconvenience this caused. As a customer, I did not feel valued, respected, or appreciated. Basic communication and customer service go a long way, and unfortunately, this location failed on both. Based on this experience, I will never return to this store and cannot recommend it to others. read more

Only issue I had, was when I called to order my tires, I was given the incorrect size on my initial set, after waiting a week or so, I went in to get them installed and noticed some rubbing on my SUV, I went in to DT and was told it was normal and I shouldn't have any issues. Almost two weeks later my wife did a donut on the road and that was enough for me to go back to DT to express my concern. They corrected the problem by going down a size on the tires, the good thing was I only had to wait a couple days, the bad was that the price was a difference of over $400. I'm hopeful that these are much better tires, I'll ding them a star for the initial mistake, wasted time and unexpected expense. Overall, I'm satisfied with DT. So, my wife took my son went to get his tires rotated and they couldn't locate our wheel lock socket, so they said they would have to use one of theirs, so fine no problem. HOWEVER, they did not put wheel locks or lug bolts back on the wheel!!! So my son has been driving around for three months in an unsafe, dangerous state, having only 4 lug bolts on a 5 bolt pattern. I had a tire from my RV that has been slowly leaking air for the past month. I'd previously take it to a shop while I was in Venice FL and they couldn't find anything wrong with the tire, the rim, or the valve stem but it was still loosing air. I took it to Discount Tire and they performed the same test la BUT also removed the tire from the rim and inspected the inside of the tire and found a small puncture on the inside!! (Probably a result of the poor job of mounting the tire that Walmart did). They plugged the puncture, remounted the tire and tested it again to be sure everything was fixed. FLP 04---My husband and I have always had a very good experience with regards to the Mobile Hwy. Discount Tire Shop customer service, pricing, and a quick turnaround. If we had any issues, the many times we had service work done at this location, they would and have always resolved the situation or answered any questions we may have had. We worked directly with Trace when we requested a quote for new tires and asked to have a valve stem replaced on another wheel. He truly took care of us and was wonderful to work with. When we returned to the store to get the tires replaced, we worked directly with Mitch and John and were again, extremely happy with the professionalism and service :-)... My husband and I are very familiar with the automotive service industry and know how tough it can be to find a mechanic and shop that is truly determined to work with the customer and do what is most beneficial and affordable for said customer. I also must mention, when we were waiting in the lobby and by the shop, we were continuously approached by other men working at that store, who were obviously not lacking in work they had to do. They would constantly ask if we needed any help or if there was something that they could do for us. The men that I am referring to, were mechanics by the names of Brandon, Jacob, and James. They appeared to have much do and were working very hard. But, despite the fact that they were busy, they still took time to provide us with excellent customer service!!!
