I went to Discount Tire 100% because of the kind way they took care of my car when I came by to have my air pressure checked a few times. They were always courteous and helpful, and they never tried to upsell me or be salesy in any way. My two front tires were at 40k miles & 4/10 tread and it was time for them to be replaced so naturally I reached out to Discount Tire. I ordered the tires on Friday afternoon, and on Saturday morning, César called to let me know that my tires were in. I ordered two Goodyear Eagle Sport tires, and I paid $230 per tire plus a small mounting fee. I came by in the afternoon on Saturday and it was quite busy. I had to wait a few minutes before I was helped, but shortly afterward, I left my car in the capable hands of the Discount Tire staff & prepared to wait. Less than an hour later, my car was ready to go with brand new shiny shoes on the front axle. Yay! Everything went really smoothly at Discount Tire and I'm really appreciative all of the guys there who were really hustling to get everyone's cars finished. I'll look forward to coming back in six months for my free tire rotation & balancing. Mahalo! read more

Very disappointed with Discount Tire on Midway. I had an appointment for a free tire rotation. I showed up on time and still ended up wasting a lot of time. Instead of simply rotating the tires, the employee walked around my truck and immediately started telling me my tires were worn out and that I needed new ones. My truck only has about 22,000 miles on it, and the tires are not worn out. I specifically asked them just to rotate the tires front to back, and they refused. I went to a local mom-and-pop tire shop nearby afterward, and they checked the tires and told me they were completely fine and probably had another 10,000 miles left. My experience felt less like a "free tire rotation" and more like an attempt to sell me tires I didn't need. Complete waste of time. I will not buy tires from this Discount Tire or bring my vehicles back there. There are plenty of other tire shops that will actually take care of the customer instead of trying to turn every visit into a sales pitch. read more

Discount Tire - Does it look like I need new tires, especially driving here in San Diego? - Tires Near Me - San Diego, California

Last week, I nearly blew out my tires while driving in the freeway. After pulling to the side of the road and upon inspection, my front tires appeared as though there were peeled and some of the wire threading was exposed. I called shops nearby to see if they carried Pirelli PZeros but no shops had a set ready for installment. The closest shop was Discount Tires and the had tires in stock and were able to install and align within 2-3 hours. The staffer had the team inspect my other tires and turns out they were in bad shape too and now I had to buy 4 new tires...ugh! :( With the discount, free alignment and warranty it seemed like a fair deal. I'm sure there's always a place that costs less, but I didn't want to wait because I needed everything done now. The staff were professional and efficient. The shop waiting area was clean and air conditioned cool. Waiting is not my forte, so I walked next door to Walgreens to purchase a bottle H2O, as there were no bottled water available and ai don't drink from water fountains, they only offer. The wait was longer than quoted. You're not assigned to one staffer, so who ever helps you out at the counter, I had at least 4 different staffers to deal with :( Was furious I hadn't purchased my last set of tires from Discount Tires because the set I had were only 2 years old from PepBoys, which costs more, didn't perform an alignment, no warranty, so never again. Discount Tire's mantra emphasizes providing quality service at affordable prices to ensure customers drive safe and reliable vehicles. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional automotive repair services and customer satisfaction. Got my new tires, alignment and warranty, hope these tires last, fingers crossed XX If you're in search of new tires, alignment and warranty, do your diligence of comparing but worth a serious consideration is Discount Tires. read more

My front tire had a quarter inch thick fastener lodged in my tire. I put the spare on my truck to drive to Discount Tire. Promptly, I was greeted as I was getting out of my truck. I told him what the issue was. After taking my information, I left the truck with Discount Tire. They patched my tire for free. They installed the patched tire and put my spare tire back under the truck. This took a little over an hour. I recommend getting there early. When I came back to pick up my truck the shop was in full swing with the bays full and vehicles waiting for service. I picked up my keys and I was on my way. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend the Discount Tire shop on Midway. read more

Great team at the Midway Discount Tire. Polite, friendly, professional. On a busy Saturday they were patient, able to handle the fast-paced workload & had good teamwork. Recommend! My only constructive criticism would be to have 2 lines on busy days - 1 for those with an appointment, 1 for those without. read more

08-Dec-2025 We absolutely love Discount Tire for many reasons! The first is they have a special deal where you pay for tire warranty and when you have a flat tire it's fixed with no questions. You will be so glad you have it. We have never hesitated to buy the extra coverage because those flat tires come when you least expect them. We also like that we have sent our car (different cars) about 5 times without an owner. We call for a status update and the tire is usually already repaired. Whether it's a luxury car or oldie they will take care of it. The folks that work here are kind and enthusiastic about the work they do. If you walk in you will be greeted and addressed quickly. I once had a missing nut on a tire and they had an extra one laying around and replaced it. That's great customer service! We will only get our tires from Discount tires. No better place in San Diego! Thanks, Ashley & Lindsey read more

I've always had a positive experience with Discount Tire. All locations I've been to throughout the years have provided excellent service. Like last time, I shopped for and purchased my tires on their website and set my appointment from there. Doing this makes the whole process quicker and easier once you get to the store. When I arrived, I was quoted a 45-minute wait once I checked in, but I got a call about 20 minutes later while at Starbucks saying my car was ready to go. Nice! It is truly worth creating an account with your vehicle and tire specifications on the Discount Tire website. Once that's established, you are given brand recommendations with different price options and current offers. I'd rather do this at home than stand at the counter for who knows how long. I'm so happy with my new tires! Thank yooouuuu. :) read more

Daman's excellent customer service made my Discount Tire experience a good one. He greeted me kindly when I entered the store, and when he found out that I had an appointment, he took care of me right away despite the place being packed. This location has lots of parking, a large yet spartan waiting area, and plenty of nearby shops for you to peruse while waiting. Daman inspected my car and patiently explained the process and wait time to get the new tires I bought installed. When I returned about 30 minutes later after shopping nearby, Daman again noticed me right away and updated me that my car would be ready in 20 minutes. The online tracking and text notification system were useful as well, but not necessary since my car was ready right when expected. read more

Absolutely incredible service. Everyone greets you when you walk in. The check in technician was friendly and thorough. He mentioned it would take about an hour for two new tires and rotation; It didn't even take 40min. Extremely happy and will definitely be a returning customer. read more

Know what? I wasnt going to write this review but i decided to because of so many things. 1. Your worker drops my car when he lowers it on the jack. Near free fall force. Not your car not your problem i get it you suck. 2. Your worker throws away my original tire caps and throws a complete different looking one on, but just one. While leaving the other side capless.. do i know you? I dont deserve this kind of prank im PAYING YOU. 3. Redhead worker waves me off when i ask for a tire pressure check, says they already put air in it... i know thats an obviously lie and sure enough when i get home and check, its 30 on one and 40 on the other. The correct tirepressure is supposed to be 35psi... you guys really terrible, you let people drive off with 10 psi deficit... 4. Yes youre being watched when you work because look at how you work? Unprofessional, dont do what is expected and paid for, and then have this broken appointment system that makes everyone wait hours for you. I only came to this place because i had a flat nearby and it was close but... bet ill be going to a different discount tire store forever read more

I like how they finance things. I took out a card, they helped with some tires. I believe they offered free rotations which is a plus. Good service, it was quick. Took maybe 2 hours. I have bought a few sets of tires here and it is so easy to buy them online, schedule an appointment and they get you in and out in less than an hour. I came by for their free air service and they noticed that one tire was unusually low, checked for a nail and fixed there and then. read more

courteous and honest. Very few businesses are like that these days. Everyone was polite and helpful

5/10/25- I came here as a walk-in today to get my tire pressure checked. As soon as I walked in, someone approached me and showed me where to go. I was happy to find that I don't have to wait for this and they have an area I can go to and someone did it for me. The guy that helped me recommended I get my wheels balanced if I was feeling my drive was bumpy, so they advised me that the wait was around an hour, so I decided to stay. Someone came up to me again, Jaggar, and he helped me get my car lined up for service. Even watching how the employees interacted with customers, it was very impressive. Everyone seems to be on their feet and customers are greeted and taken care of right away. It's been a while since I've been to a discount tire but i've never had a bad experience. My car only took around 30-40 mins. Highly recommend this business and this location. Keep it up! read more

Wow! I didn't think this issue would get resolved, but the team here really went above and beyond. My initial interaction was confusing--a different guy couldn't pull up my order and wrongly thought the tires weren't in. However, the situation was completely rectified when I reached out to Joe and, simultaneously, Dave (who took my original order) called me back! Dave quickly confirmed the tires were in, and I got an immediate appointment. The rest of the service was flawless. Victor, who checked me in, was super fast--nothing like the slow service I've dealt with at Costco tires. Best of all, I got the best price; it was even cheaper than the C's promotion with free installation. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes, avoiding all the usual parking and crowds. Fantastic recovery and service!. They won me over for life. read more

I am writing to formally complain about my repeated experiences at Discount Tire located at 3135 Midway Dr, San Diego, CA 92110. I have purchased tires from Discount Tire with the clear understanding--based on their advertising and sales assurances--that tire rotation services are included. However, every time I visit this location to have my tires rotated, I am met with the same discouraging response: I am told there will be a four- to five-hour wait and that there are "50 people ahead of me." This response is given immediately upon arrival and appears to be used consistently as a way to discourage customers from using the tire rotation service that was promised at the time of sale. This has happened not just once, but every time I have attempted to have my tires rotated at this location, including my most recent visit. The message is always the same, regardless of the day or time, creating the impression that the service is intentionally made difficult or inconvenient so customers will give up and leave. During my most recent visit, I was additionally told that my tires could not be rotated due to a so-called "technical issue." This limitation was never disclosed at the time the tires were sold, nor was it explained clearly or transparently beforehand. Had this restriction been communicated upfront, I would have made a more informed purchasing decision. The combination of: Excessive and repeated wait-time claims, A consistent pattern of discouraging customers from using included services, and Undisclosed limitations revealed only after purchase has left me extremely dissatisfied and frustrated as a customer. I believe this practice is misleading and inconsistent with the service commitments advertised by Discount Tire. I am requesting that this complaint be reviewed seriously and that corrective action be taken to ensure customers receive the services that were promised without unnecessary obstruction or misrepresentation. I would appreciate a written response addressing this matter and explaining how Discount Tire intends to resolve these issues going forward. Sincerely, Oscar read more

There' simply is no better place to get new tires now that Costco requires you to buy them several days in advance and schedule an appointment. I'm done with that hassle. After thorough research, and several calls, I found this shop and am so very happy I found this Discount Tire shop. I brought in a quote from another Discount Tire shop, and they beat the price by a significant margin. The service was incredible. I bought new tires from Discount Tire a few weeks ago since my old ones were bald. They were installed and all was well. This morning my right front tire was down by 10 PSI so I took it in thinking the tire was bad. Unfortunately it wasn't the tire, but the rim of one of the wheels had cracked over time and started letting air leak out of the tire. It would cost $550 for a new wheel from the dealership. Jaggar told me about American Factory Wheel where they can weld the crack closed for half that much. It wasn't his job to deal with it but he helped me anyway and even made the appointment for me on the AFW website. He made a difficult experience so much easier for me. I'm now a big fan of Jaggar and Discount Tire on Morena! read more

My first time at Discount Tire was a breeze and the staff there made everything so seamless! My tire pressure sensor came on and i suspected that something had punctured the tire. When i pulled up to the place, i parked in the queue for air pressure check. Alec had been the employee on duty when i visited and he was nothing but nice, knowledgeable and informative. He helped me figure out my issue (the tire was punctured by a screw) and he was able to schedule me to get it patched that same day. Shane helped me when i went inside to surrender my key and was also very helpful. They told me it would take about two hours and i had no issues with that. It took less than that time and what surprised me was that there was no charge to fix the patch. I even tried to offer a tip for labor but they refused it. They gained a customer for life just based on the stellar customer service. Thank you for your help! read more
