Honestly the only thing about this experience that was exceptional was dealing with Kevin. He made things smooth. First off. Their website is extremely misleading. I was offered a May 50% off oil change coupon- directly linked to this location, even booked through the system with an operator. Upon my arrival, I was told they're not giving those coupons out/honoring them. Kevin was able to get manager approval, but they wouldn't normally honor them. Everything was fine until I left. I had no remarks about the brake inspection, and then my internal Audi Warning lights came on saying the sensor is reading low oil/needing a change. I went back. The service tech told me "we don't have the computer to clear Audi manufacturing alerts, you'll have to find someone who can." Audi doesn't have to do that, it's just the sensor. I drove across to Sam who works on Audis. Upon further inspection, Tire Choice over filled my oil giving me an extra quart. I had to have it drained which cost me more $. STAY AWAY. I had some tires with less than 5k miles on them and had them swapped onto newer wheels that had seen better days on my 2023 Subaru WRX. Almost $200 dollars, but I didn't complain about the price. Had an appointment for 2 PM but the service manager told me to come sooner and had me waiting for 3 HOURS and I didn't get my car until a little before 4. I drive off and notice the TPMS was at 25 PSI and dropping 1 PSI every couple seconds. By the time I pulled over on the 8 East I was down to 15 PSI and I called the shop back and asked if there was any problems with the front left tire. Andre the manager told me there was zero issues the tire was perfect, no punctures or anything. I told him I am currently on the side of a busy freeway with a complete flat. Even at this point I was not angry at Andre or his team. Andre offered to have one of the guys come by and take a look. I wanted to tow the car and get on with my day but instead Andre convinced me to let one of his guys take my wheel and inspect it. Andre sent a team member. the first thing he tells me is I need a new tire, i probably caught a nail. It's extremely unlikely In such a short span of time but not impossible so when he got the wheel off and checked it he couldn't find anything and said that the nail might've already fallen out already. So here I am waiting for another hour with my car jacked on the road waiting outside in the heat with no water or anything. Andre calls me and starts putting on a performance saying "he's never seen anything like this before in his life," and that the tire is fine, the valve stem is fine, and he can't find any leaks. At this point he says he cannot figure out why the tire was leaking and says he'll add extra bead lock and "hopefully" that fixes the issue. Another reputable tire company told me later they could possibly have not seated the tire head or the valve stem properly and that could be the cause of the leak. I later find out the valve stem was torn which was a quick easy fix/diagnosis and should have been caught from the beginning or at the very least when they picked up the wheel. I get my wheel back and drive off after being stuck for almost 2 hours and my tire is already from 39 PSI to 25 within a couple miles. I call Andre back and he calls saying my issue is the wheel, my wheel has to be cracked and it's not his fault. I disagreed. I told him regardless if he refuses to diagnose further I'll tow the vehicle to a different shop and depending on their diagnosis, he may have to foot the bill. He kept repeating my wheel was the issue and wouldn't let me get a word in. At this point I was very upset. While he was talking over me I finally lost my cool on the side of the road and told him to shut up and hung up. After I got the car towed to a repair shop in Kearny mesa he sent a nasty text and blocked my number. I told myself if the issue ended up being the wheel I would walk in an personally apologize to Andre, though if it was a workmanship or quality control problem I'd walk in expecting a refund and reimbursement for my tow, expenses and a heartfelt apology. It ended up being the latter, the problem was diagnosed within minutes Monday morning I walked in to TireChoice Monday afternoon asking for a full refund and reimbursement. When Andre arrived he told me he's not doing a single thing for me and told me to leave. It was until I threatened to file a complaint with the BAR(bureau of automotive repairs) did he change his tune. I asked him to apologize for how this entire situation played out, he wasted my time, failed to inspect a simple tire and valve stem right and left me stranded on the road for an entire afternoon. He refused, said he'll review bomb the company i work at and continued to insist my wheel was the issue despite being told to look at the broken valve stem in my hand, and the same wheels and tires that I drove in with. Andre's pride and ability to talk over me and raising his voice to a shout was impressive and he threatened to call the police if I kept trying to talk to him and show him anything else. By this point Lee, the young kid who couldn't be more than 20 years old jumped in and confronted me and said "he'll clock me in the face" after having to be forced outside to the back by two other employees. I told LEE I did not want to talk to him my only concern is with his manager. It was at this moment Andre took my invoice, told me to shut up, and if I say another word he'd have me taken out of the shop. I was recommended here by a friend and I'm severely disappointed. I left and came back this time recording the entire conversation. Andre saw I was recording and finally gave me a partial refund for his work but refused to look at the other vendors invoice or even a tow bill. He purposely called me a racist Mexican name after telling him repeatedly thats not my name. He then yelled me out the store and told me not to come back. read more

I had a 5pm appointment to replace a tire(s) and they were done by 5:35. My original quote to replace 2 tires and do an alignment was $650. I told them that I thought that was high and I had seen tires for around $100 apiece on the website. After deciding on cheaper tires it was just over $300 including the labor fees without the adjustment. They did include a free inspection of my car and gave me a print out with all the information. He did tell me that I should change my filters the next time I got an oil change but didn't pressure me into doing it right then which I appreciated. read more

Every employee I have interacted with has been so helpful in explaining what needs to be done, and I have never felt pressured for additional services. As a young woman, it can be intimidating to get work done on your car and wonder if you'll get taken advantage of. Not a worry here!! I got my front brakes done here few months ago, and I came back for the back brakes. They thoroughly inspected my vehicle, and were unhappy with the performance of my front set of brakes. My brakes were warrantied and replaced at no charge! The care and attention to detail here is evident, communication is great, and work is done with honesty and integrity. ASK FOR ANDRE (mgr)! I had to get a new rim 'cuz it was bent. (I wondered why I was losing air). I've been a loyal, long-time customer of these guys on Rosecrans St in Point Loma after a few bad experiences with Evans Tires (don't go there). Anyway, I went in a couple days ago & found out the rim had to be delivered from a place in Santee, so I went back today to Tire Choice for installation. Long story short, the Santee place was really dragging their feet on getting it there, even after confirming they had the rim I needed in stock. Took damn near all day, but only after Andre was on their ass repeatedly. Not only did Andre give me a great discount, but he's an absolute peach, so I had him call his boss so I could tell him personally that Andre's customer service is beyond outstanding and to give him a big, fat raise! I had an opportunity to get repairs to my tires there. I accidentally shipped two full sets of tires. I mentioned both invoice numbers, and one of the two sets fit. Within 5 days I got a flat(I still hadn't gotten the other set for return). The tech said that my new tire wasn't under warranty and the tire could not be patched. He suggested that I pay $435 for the new tire. He took off the damaged tire and put me on a donut. The tech decided to keep my damaged tire and my rim. When I realized that they still had my tires, I looked into the warranty on the tires that were on my truck. 75,000 miles. Wear and hazard. I called the shop and told them that I wanted my tires (5). I took my car to Evans (highly recommended) and they were able to patch the tire in 20 minutes. I went to Tire choice to pick up my tires, and they gave me 2 general tires(the ones I accidentally bought) and 2 cheap tires that don't even match. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. If 0 stars was an option I would. read more

Ever since Kevin left, this place has just gone downhill... I brought my Truck into the shop in the middle of March to get a diagnostic done because it was having issues starting. My truck is a Toyota Tundra and the shop employee (Cory), recommended his coworker (Joe), to diagnose the car because he was familiar with Toyotas. A few hours after I ubered home from the shop, Joe calls me to tell me my truck is fixed. Upon returning, he says that the issue occurred because I had changed out my battery a couple months prior, and in doing so I had short circuited the aftermarket security system inside that tells the car when it is in park. So in order to fix the problem, Joe ripped out the security system located under the steering wheel. When I first got into the truck, I noticed the traction control light was on. I asked Joe why it was doing that, and he said it must have tripped a sensor but another shop could turn it off for me. Then he says that since I am a return customer, he won't even charge me for what he did! As you can imagine, I was pretty happy at first thinking my Truck was fixed. Well it wasn't an hour into driving that I looked down and noticed the plastic covering under my wheel was broken. A few minutes after that, a guy driving next to me tells me my break lights aren't working and to get off the road. I then drove straight to the Toyota dealership to see what was wrong. The dealership told me that when Joe had cut out the security system, he also cut my break light wires in the process. In addition he broke my plastic covering exposing all the wires. The cost to fix the Damage was over $900. At first, the dealership did not want to handle fixing the damage Tire Choice caused, so I drove back to Tire Choice. I met again with Joe, who said he would get the plastic piece ordered for me and fix everything he damaged when it arrives. Well after 2 weeks, the piece still never arrived and I never got a call to come back in. So I drove back to Tire choice to find Joe, but he wasn't there. Cory told me to come back the following week when he would be back from a vacation. When I came back, still no sign of Joe. This continued on for a while causing me to have to wait weeks to get my car fixed. (Which I need to drive for work). So it was pretty frustrating not being able to fix it for weeks. It also cost me a lot of money. Finally, Cory tells me I should have it fixed at the Dealership and that the corporation that owns Tire Choice (Monro) would reimburse me. So I called Monro and asked them to help me with what happened. They ask me to send them an email with the details and receipts for what I spent to have the Truck fixed, Then tell me to expect a call in 24-48hrs. Well.. after over a week, still no call. So I call back, and they say they need to reach Joe to get his input before they can review the case. Well after weeks of calling every day, they cannot get ahold of Joe. How is it that a corporation cannot get ahold of their own employee? Finally, after getting so fed up with the excuses that they can't reach him, I go into the shop myself, find Joe, and I ask him to wait there as I call the corporation so he can tell them what he did. All he had to do was tell them so I could get reimbursed, it wouldn't have affected him. Well instead, he gets up, yells at me saying he won't talk to anyone and then he runs out of the shop like a coward and hops in his car and says sorry he is going to lunch and drives off. After he left, the corporation Monro finally answers, so I tell them what happened. The employee apologizes then calls the shop where she talked to Cory who told her that he knows who I am and that Joe went to lunch again. So she tells me that since the problem keeps persisting and they can't reach him, they will send the issue to the claims department. Two days later, I call the corporation again. They say it still hasn't been sent to claims because they still have not gotten into contact with Joe and still need his input. As you can imagine, I am boiling now. She then calls the shop again. After an hour on hold, she then tells me that some other employee answered the phone and told her that JOE QUIT! And without an invoice number (since Joe never charged me for damaging my car), she can't do anything. She then says she will get the manager to try and approve it and they will call me back in 48hrs. Well, it's been 2 weeks again and still no call. It's at the point where I have to either sue them or just lose my money. Monro has the absolute worst customer service, I guarantee they will respond to this saying I should call their toll free number again for help, and I'm going to be answered with the same response, there's nothing they can do. It's all for show. I doubt they even reimbursed the other guy that left a 1star review that also got screwed over by their "techs." Hope this helps. read more

Warning: reservations here are not honored and will only place you on a wait list. I made an appointment for an oil change 3/25 at 11:30am. When I arrived I was told there would be a 2.5 hour wait. The employee at the front desk said "All the people ahead of you also had reservations. Want to make a new reservation?" So I can wait for 2.5 hours on a different day? To Tire Choice: do you think taking reservations then telling customers they're not valid only when they arrive is a good practice? Do you feel waiting 2.5 hours for an oil change is reasonable? $63 for a Groupon wasted, and 40 minutes of life wasted driving there and back. read more

So I went to Discount Tire for what I thought was a slow leak, only to be told that I had an alignment issue with my car, which caused my two front tires to have Toe Wear...which conveniently also voided my tire warranty -_- I have a 20 year old-car and I know had gotten an alignment here with Kevin several months prior, and although I was slightly out of warranty for it, he didn't charge me a dime for a couple minor tweaks to the front suspension. He was courteous, patient and attentive. The only reason why I didn't get my front tires from there was because I had a warranty on my other two back tires already in place; but I'll definitely be back. If all goes well this year, I'll be starting a small time JDM car rental service and I'll definitely make sure to bring my business here for the fleet. This place was a godsend. I was at work just a few blocks away when my coworker noticed I had a flat tire. This was at 5:30 in the evening on a Saturday. I panicked for a moment because my tire was extremely flat and I have no spare in my trunk (BIG mistake I know..). At any rate, my supervisor suggested I try the only tire shop in the area that was still open to see if they could help me. That's how I found this place. I walked in and explained to the older gentleman who was working that I had a flat and that you could visibly see the nail that was stuck in there. The guy didn't ask me if I had any money and he didn't give me any $hit, despite the fact that they still had 4 or 5 other cars they were already working on PLUS they were closing in just 20 minutes. The dude just quickly went and grabbed one of his mechanics and they immediately got my keys + the tire lock without a moment's hesitation. The little asian mechanic guy didn't seem very stoked when I couldn't find my tire lock key right away (but I get a pass right because I'm a girl tho right?!). Long story short this place was extremely accommodating and kind. I was out of there in 20 minutes so I would give them 6 stars if possible!!!! Thanks again guys!!! read more

I needed to take my daughter's car to have an oil change and get two new tires. I called and spoke to Andre early in the morning and set an appointment for 1pm. Andre was professional and courteous and I did not feel any upsell pressure at all. He didn't try to get us to spend more money on more expensive tires or get any unnecessary repairs done. I'm not a car person and my husband was at our home in Northern Ca. Andre was patient with me as I called and talked to my husband who was happy with everything quoted and what was being done. The repairs were done in the time they quoted and he told my daughter that he would be happy to help her out if she ever needed any help with her car after I left for home. This morning I showed up, JR remembered my name as I got out of my car (Great Customer experience). I was then walked in by JR and greeted by Kevin. The shop was clean and presented very well. This place is a joke. One day they don't have enough help so I come back now two techs are out getting tires another dude is supposed to be on lunch but he's just standing around. The wannabe manager who looks like he's a break dancer from the 80's he actually looks like a dude from Menudo. He's telling me that the last time I was here they replaced my rear brake pads / rotors when I know for a fact that it's the front that was done. He has the nerve to tell me the last person who wrote up the paper work was wrong in how he wrote up the paper work . He tells me that I should replace all 4 rotors and brake pads. I said just do the front ones and the pads he then says I only get the cheap brake pads when I tell him BS I purchased premium with the extended warranty . I also tell him that I do Lyft and I get a 15% discount when he tells me I have to go thru LYFT shop which is total BS. I get the car taken care only because I spent the money on the warranty. But I can tell you I won't be back to this shop they are full of BS they lack integrity. I will personally bash this shop every chance I get . Tire help in a Jiffy , when something metal from the road got lodged into my tire I stopped in . They were happy to offer me help. I found the owner to have a pleasant & courteous customer service minded attitude . They removed the metal in minutes . No tire damage no charge, Wow ! that was honestly such a good feeling to have such friendly service . The shop owner extend a kindness towards me just to be helpful. All that was requested is that I return when I need new tires . I did have a recent tire debacle and needed to have my front tire replaced. Unfortunately I drove over a-large pot hole which instantly damaged my tire. The shop opens early at 7:30 am and it was a major help that they do. The shop assessed damage , was able to order me a tire and replace it with in a few short hours . I am truly appreciative of the rush they went through to get the job done . I was impressed by the fact that they were understanding of my urgent time restraint. Fortunately for me , I was able receive the tire service my vehicle needed in a time crunch . Thumbs up !! Based on my experience , I believe they are Reliable, friendly & gave me very quick tire service on both occasions . WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I came here because I needed my brakes replaced. They told me it was my back brakes that needed to be replaced and since I picked it up it won't stop squeaking. So I went back a week later and they told me I needed my rotors done also. Why wouldn't they tell me that when I dropped it off to get my brakes replaced?!!! That is just absurd to me. I'm a very understanding person but that is just so ridiculous to me. They told me if I wanted it done it was be $200 to stop the squeaking. Like are you kidding??? Oh and on top of that I went to a few auto centers to get opinions and they all told me they put on the cheapest break pads possible. It was very easy to schedule my appointment. Once I got there, the one person answering the phone was pretty inundated with calls, so I stood around for a bit. I verified that my Groupon was valid and that there would be little if any additional charge - there was a very nominal fee when I checked out. My car was serviced and I was told that my lug nuts were damaged and needed to be replaced. I was given a $300 quote for this and decided to research this a bit. My engine air filter needed changing, but they didn't have one in stock, so I'm still trying to find one! I went to Discount Tire to see what they had to say about the lug nuts and they came out and measured them - the DO need to be replaced, and the whole job will be $95. The communication was very rude. I tried to make an appointment, shared the message from the Caradvice system indicating that I could call directly and create an appointment. Without even checking the text message, speaking in an angry tone and saying "you don't have an appointment" is very strange. We had a flat tire on vacation on a Sunday morning... puts a damper into our plans. So we thought... we called the tire shops open on a Sunday afternoon and Kevin the guy that worked there said over the phone, "We'll take care of you." And the sure did. They fixed our tire with a nail in it and patched it up quite quickly. Lorenzo the tire technician that took care of us was very diligent and thorough with our tire. Came in on Sunday because they were open and had many positive reviews. I had a big nail in my tire and they were close to where I live. An older guy with grey hair was inside. I told him my situation and he didn't seem interested in helping me. All he said was it would be a 2 hour wait because there was only 1 guy working. I understand if they were short staffed, but he didn't even offer to take a look or give an alternative for me to wait to have it repaired or replaced. It felt like he just wanted me to leave. I discover my tire had suddenly gone flat today just before closing. The gentleman on the phone was really kind and said come straight there and the team of specialists got to work to check my tire for the fault.
