Walmart tire center wouldn't fix the leak in my tire as it was "against their policy" to repair the part of the tire where the hole was (I ran over a really tiny nail two inches from center of tire). I have had the worst time trying to find somebody who could do an alignment here it's so wierd. I went to the highly yelp rated Victor's and got a shit alignment. I had to have them them redo it again, and it still wasn't right, because as I later found out I needed a bunch of suspension work but these guys didn't tell me anything about it and there was no way and alignment was going to work. So, I had to find a shop that was better than Victor's... I just stumbled across this shop because I was at Tires express because one of my tires went bald because it needed an alignment and they didn't know of anyone. Mind you, Google and yelp both claim they do alignments, they do not do alignments at tire express. I said to my friend Jesus, what about that new place across the street? They said oh yeah they might do it. #bonk So I walked across the street to the new place which referred me to an unmarked building next door. I felt really weird about it because there was nothing on the outside, no signage. I opened up the door and there was a pretty high-tech shop in there! I'm like do you guys do alignments one grumpy guy went and got the friendly guy thankfully and they're like yep we do! Then they said they could take me right away!! This shop looked way different than what I experienced at Victor's ...like wayyyy different Victors also made me wait two or three hours in the hot sun on two different occasions. Eddie's... they got me in right away like NOW! They had an alignment machine that Victor's didn't have and special things clamped up to my tires and with a computer and all this high-tech stuff and then I realized how Victor's just screwed me over. Long story longer this is the place to go for an alignment they were highly professional they took their time and they did it right for a $65 they didn't waste my time which is very important to me and Victor's did that to me they wasted about 6 hours of my time waiting for a shitty half ass alignment that was never aligned. It's a new shop affiliated with Eddie's across the street. I highly recommend them for tires brakes or alignments because for some reason nobody can get it done these guys did an amazing job!! Screw this place. From my previous review you can see how highly I spoke of this place. I've been getting my car serviced here since I moved to San Diego always for tires, tire repairs, or brakes. I found this place when I lived close by. I live in Escondido and will drive completely out of the way due to customer loyalty. Yesterday I dropped by to get a tire on my way back home. I've been here several times so I expected to get the same service I always get. I asked for the price prior to getting my tire and he tells me $45-50 for a used tire $75 for a new FOH. I quickly advised that I always come here and get tires for $35. The guy tries to argue me down, and I told him I just bought a tire a few months back. He instantly tries to drop the price between $35-$40 attempting to retain my business. This may not seem like a big deal to most, but it's a huge problem for me. I left and went right over to another shop and got a tire for $35! Greediness of a couple measly bucks lost a repeat customer. Dirtbags read more

One of my tires was losing air pressure every time I filled it, so I took it in to Edie's to have it looked at. They found and nail and plugged it for me - had it fixed in under 10 minutes for an amazing price. In my experience (especially as a young woman who doesn't know much about cars), most tire shops will try to upsell you/tell you you need a whole new tire in these situations, but these guys went straight to repairing it. Came by Edie's today for a new tire and fixed brake pads and couldn't be happier with the service. Adra at the front desk was helpful, honest, and upfront about everything! We were able to get a quote right away and the prices were great- honest, fair, & better than we had expected. When it was discovered that our front breaks needed replacement as well (something we had suspected coming in but weren't certain about) Adra called us right away to keep us informed and give us a chance to decide on the added service. In the shop, Chente and his team were so quick and helpful! They jumped on everything, ordering the parts we needed, and had us in and out in about the time it took to walk down for coffee and a lunch. Chente even had a recommendation for where we could get some needed body work done and was willing to put in a good word for us to get the best price. I came into Edie's Tire Shop with; 4 rims (with bald tires on the rims) and 4 used tires. I was hoping they could put the used tires on the rims and discard the bald tires and they did just that. Unfortunately two of the tires I brought in had cracks, I was advised to put some other used tires they had at the shop. Everyone was very nice and answered any questions/concerns without making you feel dumb for not knowing the answer. I read about this place and decided to give them a shot. The person I spoke with was nice enough and I purchased four tires. They were prompt in getting the car in for service and everything was done with great timing. Reason for my low review is that the person I spoke with wrote on my receipt "free tire rotation after 3000 miles". When I returned, after driving 3000 miles, the person at the front desk told me the original person I dealt with was no longer working there, so he would not honor my free rotation. This is ludicrous! I had no idea I was dealing with individual contractors. My thought was I was purchasing my tires from "Edie's Tire Shop", period. Now I wonder how good my warranty is???? I now need tires for my second car and will be shopping elsewhere. read more

Serving San Diego with honesty and integrity since 1989 is what their website announces! My experience here certainly did not meet that slogan they have. If you need used tires, there are some good shops around. Especially the place next to this place is amazing (see reviews by searching tires shops on the maps). Coming to the reasoning behind the 1 star is that this place almost locked me up in their small office while overcharging me as part of dishonest business practices. I was quoted $70.00 (over the phone) for 2 used (but still intact) tires. One I walked in, the price was suddenly $80.00 out the door for two used tires. Pretty good deal you would say until I had to pay..: Once they sticked my card into the chip reader in a cramped( office?) room, the guy suddenly pushed in 3 digits in instead of 2; that's where I noticed that something did not seem quit right. My guts were right as the guy was nonchalantly charging me w/o the heads up an additional $20.00 for removing the locks? -WOW- It would've been ok if they told me that they would charge another $20.00 for doing that, but no communication about extra charge whatsoever. "Are these prices posted anywhere? "Not that I have seen.. I strongly got the feeling that they were trying to overcharge me just for being "foreign" (from Europe) to them instead of a Hispanic person (which were just like the shop owners as well as the patrons present). As a volunteer with ElderHelp, I was helping a family in need deal with some car problems that included the need to repair a flat tire in an apartment complex before the manager towed it... Long story short - I called around a few places and came upon Edie's Tires. I spoke to Jesus and he quoted me a good price ...not only a reasonable offer but after telling him about the situation he offered to come out, to the customer, and repair the tire for only $15! When I called the family a few days later to find out how it all went they were beyond thankful and positive about the experience with Edie's and all the money and hassle they saved in dealing with them. Based on other peoples reviews, im guessing i just had a REALLY bad experience. Yep, i all capsed really, because thats what it was... REALLY bad! First i called to see if they had tires for my car and an estimate, gave them the size and all that fun stuff. The guy said he had some for $20 piece. I also asked over the phone if they take Discover card, and the answer was "yes". I get there, 10 min later, all the sudden the only tires they have that fit my car are "run flats" and they are $45/piece. I even said i just called and you said you had some for $20... "Oh, uh, hold on let me check." ... "Oh, umm, no we just sold those." SHADY. Whatever, got me some run flats that supposably have 90% tred left on them, "youll easily get 6 or more months on these". Cool, sounds good. Time to pay with my Discover card (i know, who uses discover card anymore... I got my reasons!). "We dont take discover here." Oh, really? I literally just called and was told you do... AND... Under the "we accept" sign, just below visa and master card is DISCOVER. Soooo... "Oh, uh, let me check." Yeah, we take it, but i have to charge you another $10" WTF!? Sweet deal. 2 months later, run flat goes flat. I take it back and he says, "Oh i remember you, yeah i told you 2-4 months". Why the F would i spend $200 on tires that would last 2-4 months!? "We got one for $30, its not run flat but its good." Whatever, put that bitch on there. Go to pay with VISA this time, and i get "we dont take credit cards..." WTF!? After a $10 "service charge" im out the door. Here it is, some 5 months later... Another flat. Sweet. I assure you i am NOT going back there to replace the flat or get any other work done. I strongly suggest you do the same... These people are SHADY and have very poor business ethics!!! So i gave them 5 stars bcs they were honest, and helped me save a couple of hundred, where they could have taken advantage of the situation. I Requested several services done (tune up, and timing belt change) and they evaluated my car and reassured me that it was not necessary. In addition there service was quick and the cost was painless. The cons would be that there isn't a waiting room, and that they dont take cards, but I went to the atm across the street. No big deal to me, but i can see how that can be a hassle to others. read more
