What a great experience we had stopping in yesterday! I had reservations at Boulevard Seafood Company and wasn't aware they were BYOB. The server was kind enough to recommend we grab a bottle of wine across the street or down the block. Walked in and wanted a medium body white. The gentleman working the front desk yesterday evening is the purpose I'm writing this review. He offered us the cold version of wine we wanted because he asked if we had dinner resos. He was so sweet! His demeanor is very genuine and kind. All around leaving a lasting impression! Bravo. Love this store. read more

Always a pleasure to enter this store. I've been going there since they opened and I've never been disappointed. They are a knowledgeable group of folks, in particular the owners who have always chosen wisely for me. Even if your knowledge of wines is limited they will always do their best to suit your needs. The pandemic put a strain on all the stores in the area and Discover I'm sure was no different. I came Saturday night looking for some wines to sip on over the next few weeks. The store is clean, roomy, and wines are organized and sorted in a way that makes it pleasant to shop for. Customer service is friendly and warm. The guy behind the counter (owner?) suggested a few wines that I took into consideration. I like that every wine here has been carefully selected and has a full store written description. The stock consistently turns over with new selections and every bottle is affordable. The staff is very welcoming and happy to lend guidance without being overbearing, and they will usually remember you and your tastes if you go in regularly. This is really a premium experience vs just perusing bottles at the liquor store, but without a premium price. This is a nice wine shop and the person behind the counter the night I went (one of the owners?) was very knowledgeable about wine varieties. It's cool that most of the restaurants in this area are BYOB as you can come here, buy a bottle of wine that won't break the bank, and bring it to your favorite restaurant. It's not a big store so you won't find endless varieties of wine, but the selection is plentiful for someone like me and they also have a small, but quality, beer selection (Dogfish Head is sold here, yay). read more

Organized simply, the store makes a typically inundated wine dabbler feel comfortable. There is a quick pick section designed to pair with the local restaurants. I love their Restaurant Row here!! It's something I've never seen before and it really left a lasting impression on me. The wines here are sorted so that even the most inexperienced wine drinker can pick something they'll like. The prices are amazing as well - can't beat it. Here's a nice little perk as well. What a great time. A group of women from our State Federation selected Somerville, New Jersey as the destination to have their Quarterly Meeting. After a fun breakfast, meeting and lunch at Mannions Pub, we walked a half a block to Discover Wine on Main Street. There, we were greeted by Ken, the owner, who had a full set up of a Wine Tasting and Chocolate Pairing Party all ready for to go for us!! (Chocolates by Carols Chocolates) We had a ball and learned more about wine and chocolate then we had ever known before. The wine selections were perfect. All reasonably priced and everyone went home with their favorites wines. The store has a pretty cool set up, is neat and clean and perfectly equipped for a party. Staff was courteous. Thanks for ending our day with nothing better than WINE AND CHOCOLATE!!! read more

This shop is perfectly located as there are many BYOB restaurants in the area. I stopped by to pick up a couple of bottles of wine before dinner and the gentleman behind the register was extremely helpful. He was very knowledgeable and made several great recommendations.
