I don't consider myself a true crime expert, but I am drawn to folklore and mystery. So I snagged my friend to join me and we were signed up for later that evening. The price is a little steep-$30 per person, plus (ugh) online fees. But when I learned that this is a one-man show founded by a charismatic ex-radio personality (thanks, Covid), I was happy to support him. Its obvious he has put in a lot of time and effort to get this endeavor up and running. Or, um, walking. He plans to expand to a van in the future to allow tours in all weather. The pace of the tour is very comfortable. We walked about a mile and a half but it was very doable. Bring water, especially when it's hot outside and wear proper shoes. He sends an email with parking and meet up directions-they are easy to follow. Plan to pay five bucks to park, unless you find street parking during free hours. Anyway, I won't give away all the details of the stops, but we visited five locations where crimes have occurred-one as recent as 2016. Jackson, or Nightcat as he calls himself, told us the stories and sprinkled in just the right amount of eeriness with facts to make it both intriguing and educational. He did not exaggerate or try to make the stories more unbelievable than they were on their own. He also shared tidbits of information on other buildings around the area-leaving me wanting to learn more. I would love to listen to him talk more about the history of our town-he has done his research. I hope that he expands his tour offerings-I could see him doing lots of cool routes.

It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

The farmer's market here is a great alternative to the one downtown although still much smaller…read more The farm itself is always a fun treat to see the animals including cows, bunnies, chickens, peacocks, sheep, and a donkey. I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program. If you ever see them working be sure to share your thanks! There's also a long path that loops the property once you cross the bridge, it follows the stream and then hangs left.

Takes you on an informative ride through downtown with step off points, and a trip to the cemetary. They provide ghost detector devices that do go off and show activity in different areas. They warn you at the beginning that you probably won't see a ghost, but they remind you to check your photos, as sometimes you will see them in your photos. It's possible someone on our tour got something as the guide was telling the guest to submit her photo. Now for the scary part! As we were riding along a narrow road with sharp turns, listening to our guide tell us of a newly wed couple that haunts the area after a horrific crash on this very road! Suddenly the van scraped roadside bushes and swerved slightly, making us all gasp!!! Pretty sure the guide who was facing backward had to change his shorts! The driver apologized saying she was trying to avoid rough areas. It was PERFECT!! And incredibly timed!!

I wore long pants though it was 100 degrees and bug spray which helped. We had around 20 flies in our car. Had thoughts of doing more walking around and trying different trails but the bug situation altered those plans. At the Jetty we let the drone do the exploring and we stayed besides the car swatting at bugs. I'm sure it would have been worse getting near the water and out in the brush. I felt like my money is worth out of it because it was a unique experience and if you're going to be in the Salt Lake City area, it's worth a drive down to see some of the better parts of the lake. Some can be a long drive like on the way to the northern part of the lake, but you go to the southern part of the lake and it's very close to the airport.

James has the eqpt if you need (we brought bikes, borrowed helmets), and eqpt is all nice. He told me he got most of the bikes from the SLC Bicycle Collective, which supports the community of bicyclists here and is an org worthy of supporting. Helmets are new and comfortable for small & large domes. He provides water bottles and artesian wells to refill along the ride. The tour is a reasonable ride for any skill level. You go north from Liberty Park, through downtown, up to Memory Grove if you want, and back down to Liberty. I enjoy tours with a good tour guide, which James is. He showed me places blocks from my house that I did not know about and shared stories of the history of SLC. As a person (and someone you will be with for 3 hours), James has an easy-going and engaging personality, and he was good with all levels of riders. One of the riders was very beginner and she was much improved by the end of the ride, even on the streets (one major street, otherwise secondary & tertiary). I will take my girlfriend on this ride as it's something I know she will enjoy and I will not mind going again. Thanks to James for an enjoyable time.

I think, I'm terrible with names ,we're so nice and accommodating.! They gave me a lot of information on what I was thinking about , the different ships , the destinations, the prices, you name it. This young lady was so helpful.! When I told her I wasn't sure where or when I was going, she was darling, gave me a booklet on different cruise lines and was very very helpful!
