Unfortunately, my experience with the administration was very different. Beginning in my freshman year, I experienced repeated sexual harassment both in person and online. I, along with other students, reported these incidents expecting them to be taken seriously. Instead, the administration's response left many of us feeling dismissed and unsafe. What was initially supposed to be an anonymous report quickly turned into a meeting where the students who reported the harassment were placed in the same room as the large group of boys who had made them feel unsafe. Rather than focusing on the repeated harassment that had been reported, we were told, "In a professional workplace, you'd be the one getting in trouble." We were also told that the administration had heard rumors that students were considering leaving because of these incidents, followed by the statement, "That won't be happening. Every student here will walk this stage at graduation." As students, we left that meeting feeling that protecting the school's reputation was more important than addressing the concerns we had brought up. Being told to "stop causing issues" instead of having our reports taken seriously was incredibly discouraging. I recognize that schools may not be able to share every detail of an investigation, and I am not commenting on what actions may or may not have happened behind the scenes. My issue is with how the students who came forward were treated. The response we received made many of us feel unsupported, invalidated, and less willing to report future incidents. This led me to transfer to a public school, where my experience was much better. I am really grateful for the few teachers who listened, showed compassion, and did everything they could to support me and my classmates. However, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this school because I do not believe the administration handled reports of student harassment in a way that prioritized student safety.

It is was very difficult to find the actual physical addresses of the CCSD due to this mistake. I am feeling Optimistic about the direction that the Clark County School District is taking. With this new Superintendent in place, Jhone Ebert; a former teacher. I really like her overall stance. I've seen her on the local news. I've gotten the email messages; there was a Going Back To School guide, as well as various Back To School Fairs, located at the major malls. Jhone Ebert has such positive messages for us parents in Clark County. There is a new energy at the Clark County School District. In her "Welcome Back" message the Superintendent announced that all CCSD students would be getting free Breakfast and free Lunch.

Every time that I pick him up from school, he talks about what he learns. Yeah they are kinda learning things that could maybe be put off a year, but it's good because it's beneficial for their learning and if they're good at hard stuff now, they'll be a pro at it later. That's what I think the plan is here at Mater Academy Mountain Vista. The teachers are also very understanding and cooperative including coaches. Especially Ms. Shelton (2022) I believe she's the volleyball coach, and I hear she does a lot more than that. She's the music teacher, sports manager, elementary student council president. It's so many things that these teachers do to show they are committed into their job and they're willing to take the time to work with students and help them be the best they can be. Mrs. Carbajah (2022) is a wonderful lady and she makes this school great ! From what I hear she's been here at this school since the beginning and has helped it improve over the years. This shows even more how committed all the staff of Mater Academy is. I also love how they have socials to keep families posted on the daily of what going on. Screams at the children and if they so much as look at one another during reading time (which is half the morning, who wants to read all morning before class??) she will embarrass your student by yelling at them. It was like a sense of community. Bullying does happen 99% of the places and they do give kids second chances give a lot of second kid who are bad so it it hard for kids who don't really do anything, but I think they principal since I last went there but it's a great learning environment. I visit this church whenever I am in Las Vegas. This House of God preaches the true Word of God…read moredirectly from Holy Scripture. The Pastor is Tim Otto. Pastor Otto has a unique method of teaching Holy Scripture. Most of the time, he will use at least four real world instances or examples. Then he will speak about those examples and tie them to the doctrinal lesson for that Sunday. It is different and effective. He can get excited in his zeal for the Word and the Lord Jesus. Unlike most other Christian churches, Pastor Otto is not scared to speak about the place that Scripture calls Hell. He makes the point that Hell is real and horrible and we never want to even possibly have a chance of being condemned to Hell. He makes it clear that we can avoid going to Hell only by believing in Jesus and trusting Jesus with our soul. Our actions and behavior will not save us, but our trust in Jesus will keep us close to God and safe from Hell. His sermons usually last 20 minutes and rarely go beyond 25 minutes. The true Word of God is taught in this church and I always look forward to my worship at Mount Olive Lutheran when I am in town.
