Really cool store, just heaven for kids. The store covers almost all popular genres of Disney cartoons including all the princesses, Toy Story, Marvel, and Star wars. Alongside character dolls and toys, they also have so many dresses and costumes, accessories like mugs, water bottles cups, school bags . Most of these items are on clearance sale or have some sort of discount. The crew working in the store are very active, constantly reminding shoppers inside the store about sale and discounts. The checkout process was slow for us. After waiting about 5 minutes in checkout line's front spot, a second associate came to help us with checkout. At the checkout they also charge for reusable bags, so remember to bring your own bags to avoid the bag fee. We bought an Elsa school bag, Elsa toy set, and few t-shirts from the clearance section. read more

I had been excited to visit this store as from pictures looked like a large store with a nice selection. Upon walking into the store it felt chaotic with lots of people. It didn't feel welcoming as you would expect from a Disney store. Walked around the store to glance at what they had. They had a nice selection of clothes, the pin selection was rather small with not much choice, they had a nice selection of plushes and what looked like kids' clothes with a few toys. When I was looking for a cast member for help, it seemed they were all distracted and unapproachable. I needed to ask about the sale currently going on and when asked about it, I was given a short answer so had to figure out if I qualified myself and still wasn't sure until I paid. Quickly finished walking about the store and grabbed a few items that I was interested in that was on sale. This experience met my expectations for finding good Disney deals but the good vibes def wasn't there. read more

Great selection of Disney toys, a ton of princess dresses and various Disney paraphernalia in general. They had some great discounts but I felt most of the prices seemed hefty. Possibly because it's end of July/early August to tourist season and they up everything?? Also the staff seemed a little aloof and not interested in going out of their way to help us. Stopped in with the family to peruse the aisles and look at Thais and that . One of the associates heard us looking for a different size jacket for my daughter and offered to help. I didn't really see the Star Wars stuff I was looking for but other than that , it was ok . Prices weren't too awfully bad and my military discount helped out as well . read more

The cashier was like a mean nasty character out of a Disney movie! Seriously just get a different job. I'm not even sure how you can be that nasty in such a cute store! It was supposed to be a normal day at the Disney Store, a casual stop to browse the latest merch and maybe grab a souvenir. Little did I know, I was about to face the wrath of a full-fledged Disney Adult--a terrifying breed of fan whose love for Mickey and Minnie knew no bounds. The moment I stepped into the store, I spotted it: the perfect Minnie Mouse hat. Red with white polka dots, fluffy ears, and a big shiny bow--it was the ideal accessory, and there was only one left. I reached for it, fingers grazing the soft fabric, when suddenly, out of nowhere, a blur of pastel colors and Disney pins came barreling toward me. "Excuse me, that's mine!" the woman shrieked, snatching at the hat with manic determination. She was dressed head to toe in Disney gear--Mickey leggings, a Disneyland spirit jersey, and a Loungefly backpack covered in limited-edition enamel pins. Her Minnie ears were perched on her head like a crown of entitlement, and her eyes burned with the fiery passion of someone who had clearly seen The Little Mermaid one too many times. I clutched the hat tighter. "Sorry, I grabbed it first," I said, trying to keep my voice calm. Big mistake. The Disney Adult let out a dramatic gasp, as if I had just insulted Walt Disney himself. "You don't understand," she hissed. "I need that hat for my next park trip! It's going to complete my outfit. You wouldn't understand because--" she paused, looking me up and down--"you're not a real Disney fan." Now, I enjoy Disney as much as the next person, but this was next-level dedication. "Look, lady, it's just a hat," I said, trying to de-escalate the situation. But before I could react, she lunged. With the speed of a Jungle Cruise skipper dodging hippos, she grabbed onto the other side of the hat, yanking it toward her with surprising strength. The store erupted into chaos. Kids stopped playing with stuffed Simbas. A nearby cast member's cheerful Disney smile wavered as they tried to assess the situation. The tension was thicker than Gaston's ego. "Let go!" she screeched, tugging harder. "You don't even love Minnie like I do!" At this point, I was genuinely concerned for my well-being. The woman was in full battle mode, her grip tightening, her knuckles turning white. I considered letting go just to avoid making a scene, but then I remembered--this was about principle now. I had fought too hard, endured too much judgment, to surrender my prize. Summoning all my strength, I gave one final yank. The hat flew into the air, spinning like a scene straight out of Fantasia. Time slowed as both of us dove for it, arms outstretched. And then--BAM! We collided, knocking over a display of plushies in a dramatic cascade of Tiggers, Olafs, and Donald Ducks. As we lay there in the wreckage of the Disney Store battlefield, panting, the cast member stepped in, picking up the hat with an exasperated sigh. "Neither of you can have it," they declared, placing it behind the register. Defeated, the Disney Adult shot me one last glare before storming off, muttering something about "fake fans" and "ruining the magic." And that's how I barely survived an encounter with a Disney Adult in the wild--hatless, but victorious in spirit. read more

I was greeted when I came in, which was nice. I come in here once a year when I'm on vacation. I like to look at the ornaments and their clearance section. There wasn't a big selection of ornaments this year. There used to be a huge display and now they're on the end of two small floor displays. A lot of the ornaments I saw were the same I saw last year. I did find a beautiful Dumbo ornament for $9.99. There were lots of interesting things in the clearance section; beautiful jackets, lots of items for the kitchen (mixing bowls, dip bowls, spatulas, measuring cups, etc). There were no bags at check out. I was told I could carry my item out of the store or buy a reusable back for $.99, which I did. read more

I decided to go shopping with my 3 littles and of course we HAD to go into the Disney outlet. The store was clean and organized, and had stickers on the floor and a greeting station at the door. Upon entering the store, the greeter employee told me that my mask was insufficient and also that kids 2 and up needed one. I was kind of surprised, but no big deal, we put masks on my littles and I put on the one they provided. We were browsing around the store and an employee approached my son and told him that his mask was coming down from his nose a little. At this point I started feeling that this was excessive, he's 4 and has never worn one before. We kept shopping around and then another approached us checking on my 2 year olds mask, as it was too big for her face. I was annoyed at this point and she said she had to potty (fyi, they blocked off the restrooms for covid) so we put the items back that we were looking to purchase and went to a restroom and did not re enter the establishment. My advice is to shop elsewhere, the disney store is supposed to be known for making wonderful memories, and I guess its just not their prerogative anymore... read more

I really love this store so whenever I'm in Myrtle Beach for work I try to stop in. All the cast members are fantastic and have answers to everything! It's my little dose of Disney. I really wish Disney would expand to other Tanger outlet stores!!! read more

We were excited to take our daughter to the Disney store since she has never been in one. As soon as we walked in the door a staff member practically jumped my husband because he wasn't wearing a mask. She said Disney requires masks even though no other store does and we're in South Carolina and there are no mask mandates. The way we were approached took all of the "magic" out of Disney. We happily spent our money at Tanger's other toy store instead. read more

Do not bother coming to this store! I have been in line for 25 minutes and 8 people have come out but no o e let in. The cashier area is too busy. Then social distance them! The store closes in a half hour but they are not telling anyone in line that. There are at least 30 people waiting to get in! This isn't about social distancing. This is ridiculous. Give someone a little power and she's crazy with it! So I get in the store. Max is 35 people, there were 22 in the store counting workers. read more

I would put NO stars if I could! The Disney store is a place I like to visit every time we go on vacation, and I always end up buying something there. But this time I didn't. I went to the Disney store at Myrtle Beach in Tanger outlets, we walked in and were confronted by an employee who was telling us about their new Covid policies. I was offered a mask but I said I would just use mine. She asked me to move to the side, and once I got my mask on I started shopping. Another employee confronted my sister and told her that her mask wasn't sufficient. She told the employee she was medically exempt, and her mask was all she could do. The employee didn't accept that, and offered one of their masks, but she can't breath in those masks so she went outside while I shopped. Why do I have to avoid eye contact to shop? In the Disney store they have TV's that usually play Disney music with the part of the Disney movie it is from, instead they put their new regulations up in the screens, and it was really killing the vibe. They have employees watching you to make sure you are wearing your masks right! Seriously! I have to have people watching mr while I shop! So dumb!
