Been here before but only just now writing a review of this place. Went here today (Thursday May 28th 2026) to look around. They have such great items here from T-shirts, Records, Cds, DVds, cool little knick knacks, today I found a cute vintage snuffy! It has anything from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and some 2000's items as well. lots of band t-shirts! If you like music, media, and movies, and video games, this shop is for you! Oh, and it is located at broadway at the beach. This visit I found a Dokken Cd with "Dream Warriors", and "Into The Fire", 2 of my favorite songs from Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors! Paid via credit card and the cd was 19.80. not bad! Highly recommend this store! read more

We popped into this shop walking on the boardwalk and it brought back so many memories! I loved this retro shop and they had EVERYTHING throw back from your childhood. From rugrats and Pac-Man to TLC/Destiny's child. They had shirts, hats, mugs, old records, you name it! It was so much fun perusing this store. read more

When I was finally waited on, the lady was very short with me. I felt like I was wasting her time. I trimmed down my items, and made a small purchase. My favorite retro shop in Myrtle Beach. Great location at Broadway on the Beach. Lots of cool stuff from my past, including t-shirts, posters, records, bumper stickers, and patches. Remember sewing or ironing patches all over your jeans jacket back in high school. The store is packed with all kinds of retro memorabilia and the 70s and 80s music they play in there is perfect. It reminds you of a Hot Topic, minus the Emo and Goth merchandise. Majority of this store is based around pop culture from the 80's to 90's, with a few items sprinkled in from older generations for good measure. They have clothing, Funko Pop!, figures, pins, stickers, you name it. If you had a favorite TV Show or Band from that era, then I'm positive they will have what you are looking for. Friends, the Wonder Years, Saved by the Bell, even new shows and comic book characters are covered. I could spend hours in here just reminiscing about days gone by. The first shop i ever go to at Broadway at the Beach! This shop has everything. Bands, Movies, and even some Pop Culture. I bought a Def Leppard Shirt of their Hysteria tour in 1987! The place is really cool with CD's, Vinyl, and Posters. A Music fan or Movie fan would love this! They have everything from AC/DC - ZZ Top. My experience was great! The staff was really friendly and helpful when it comes to finding my way around shirts, There were loads of people just like me around there and overall it was fun! We visited Myrtle Beach in July 2018. I stopped in Retro Active and was excited to find a Luke blanket and a Luke shirt from Gilmore Girls. After returning back home realized I already had the same shirt. After making a post on Facebook the owner had me call her. After talking to Amy she told me to send my shirt back and she would exchange it for another shirt. She only asked to go half on the shipping back to me which I thought was very nice of her. I sent it back and received another shirt right away, this time a Prince shirt. What great customer service I received from Retro Active. I would definitely shop there again when I'm in the area. Would also recommend everyone check out this amazing store that has some really cool retro items and great customer service. read more

Went in there today and what a drag. I was the ONLY person in there, wasn't greeted at all while the two women in there conversed about stuff. They were wiped out of shirts and at one point, both women passed me not saying a wit and went to the back! Wanna keep customers? Try engaging them and being less snotty and stuck up. read more

I love rock and roll! These folks have one of the best selections of Music and "Retro" tees and accessories that go with them. They have retro candy, hats, soft drinks, posters etc. A very unique store. I found the staff very helpful. read more

Have been a fan of this store since high school! I've always loved to go in just to browse through their awesome T-Shirts and posters. I still have old band shirts from past trips to Broadway. Today when I went in it was super crowded and the staff seemed a little annoyed which is understandable. I also think the T-Shirts are a little overpriced but I ended up buying an adorable classic Archie comics shirt anyways. One of the best stores in Broadway at the Beach! Will always return whenever I come to Myrtle. read more
