Decided to give this place a try since Yelp reviews were pretty good. I also liked the fact that it was just a short walk from my hotel. Checking out the menu, I saw fish and chips! One of my favorites! So that's what I ordered up. The order came with two large pieces of fish and some fries. The fish was pretty good. For me, it is the tartar sauce that really makes the meal. It's tartar sauce was fairly average on this occasion. My order also included a side of peas..which were actually pretty good. I also grabbed a couple beers which they put on a cold glass. This place is a sports bar/restaurant. There are several large screens throughout the facility. This is a very modern sports bar with a nice center bar. My waitstaff was excellent and very attentive. We went there at 3:15 on a Thursday afternoon (January 15th). Ordered a few drinks and a burger and tuna tartare (this was an appetizer). There were two tables when we sat down & two came after us. The drinks came out promptly, but after waiting 30 minutes and all the other tables had been served , I inquired where our food was. No apologies or explanation. 15 minutes later - still no food. So I asked for the check & told them why (still no apologies) - paid for the drinks - which any other establishment would have comp'ed & left. Not until we were literally out the door the manager came after us and apologized and tried to give me a voucher for 100 pesos ($5 US) for next time. I just looked at him and laughed. If you go there - you have been warned. I don't know if the food is any good (as we never ate) but the margs were weak. This place should be shut down just due to lack of decent service ! read more

The overall experience was just okay. We were sat down at a table fairly quickly. Didn't wait more than 5 minutes for our drink order. All the drinks: alcoholic and non-alcoholic were pretty tasty. After our order was taken, it was about a 30 min wait for food. Our appetizers arrived with our main meals, not first. For the appetizer, the tuna in the tartar tasted especially fishy, like it wasn't fresh. The tempura on the sushi roll was already soggy by the time it hit the table. The chicken fajitas were the most disappointing version of the dish I've had. Not many veggies or much flavor. The blackened chicken on the Baja salad came out cold. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was surprisingly the best dish of the evening, with a little zing/spice to the soup. The wings for the kids meal were very small and looked worse than some one would buy from a freezer section. After the meal was over, the wait staff was very impatient with picking up plates. Someone wasn't even done with their meal before their plate was removed. It was a good 20 minutes after the table being completely clear and food boxed up before our check was brought. It wasn't a busy night, maybe 30% full. The vibe in thr place was really nice. They have the garage-style doors to allow a breeze. Lots of TVs for those into sports. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! Will never return. My whole family received their meals and finished them before I got mine. It was a simple smash burger and never received it. Hector was our waiter and could not have cared less. He was serving other tables in the meantime and we watched plenty of burgers go by. Came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Very nice servers and the food was pretty good. We had the famous cheese bread (it was good but not sure why it's deemed famous), ribs appetizers (this was yummy), steak, and blackened chicken. I've driven by here many times, this was my first time here finally to watch the NBA finals. My friend always told me the food is bad, but the sliders we had were really good, we got the ribs recommended by our server, it was not bad, I liked the coleslaw, and the famous cheese toast, cheese toasts are simple but so good!! For dessert we have ice cream sandwich, it was ok, not the freshly made cookie... It has the nice ocean views. Good service! And I liked the outdoor area it also has a TV outside. We lucked out on such a busy day! They made room for us at the front and we had Nadia (normally a host I think) as our server. She couldn't have been more perfect. I needed a napkin, there it was! We ate here twice on our trip in San Jose del cabo. The first experience was great we had great Italian burger, teriyaki chicken sandwich, buffalo cauliflower chunks and great mixed drinks from the bar. Only issue we wanted the cauliflower as appetizer and come out before sandwiches, which they did not. Everything came together. Our second trip was sub par during Hurricane Hillary advisory the bar couldn't serve alcohol they told us due to government restrictions. It was a little bit busier but not over crowded and there were a lot of staff on hand just standing around. We watched our bartender who took our order eat french fries and suck on her fingers, then served our food which took overly long to get. This time we had appetizers again and nothing came out as a starter everything pretty much was served when it was ready, all together. This is a nice place with good atmosphere and a good menu. This was a step up in ambience from usual restaurants, with large tvs to watch games, but I wouldn't call it a shorts bar, and very comfortable seating. After staying at our resort for a couple days, we wanted to venture out somewhere close without having to go all the way in town.  This sports bar was perfect!  Although the service initially started out slow, the food made up for it.  We ordered a couple beers and a few appetizers.  Every one of them was very good.  Definitely a step above typical bar food!  The tuna tostaditas were super fresh and held up really well in the wonton shell.  The District Poutine with bacon - fries were still crispy under that gravy/cheese curd goodness.  The cripsy dry ribs were very good but that parmesan dip made them great! read more

This review is a tad late, but nonetheless it's warranted! This place rocks! Reason I'm writing this now is because I'll be back in San Jose in 3 weeks and will be headed back to this great place! Last year myself and a group of amigos chose this place to watch the Chiefs/Lions opening nfl game of the season! It didn't disappoint. Every need was met, the food was phenomenal, service outstanding and atmosphere was epic! The surround sound was on for the game as our friend is a huge lions fan and they actually won! Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Michael and he couldn't have been more hospitable and upbeat! This place is run with class and provides a fun environment and upscale/elevated bar experience. Michael, be prepared come 9/8 and 9/9 as we will be there both nights for my friends (lions)/rams Sunday night football, and my 49ers vs the Jets on Monday night the following night! I ordered the delectably moist barbacoa tacos, served with au jus, peppers, lime, cilantro , in freshly warmed corn tortillas. There were two additional salsas to enjoy. First of all I want to send my biggest thank you to those who played a part in working with me as we were able to organize and put together a large dinner that went off without a hitch. An absolute massive thank you to everyone involved. In particular I want to compliment Dana for her ability to coordinate everything remotely with me and put up with my constant changes as well as be extremely helpful to details that kept changing its truly appreciated. She was able to work with the team and put together a perfect menu that left everyone very satisfied. The expertise of the management team has been nothing short of amazing. Also, I would like to send a special thank you to Sharky as he was able to manage everything within our event and it was perfect. There were a lot of drink orders and they never missed or messed up a single one, furthermore, Sharky and the team was extremely responsive to the needs for our party and were a pleasure to work with. We ordered the tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was very fresh and pretty good. My fiance got the braised short rib sandwich with fries and it exceeded expectations. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad as my lunch. I really liked the sandwich but the dressing for the side salad didn't have any flavor. I would have asked for a different but they were busy doing other things after we got our food, so I just didn't eat much of it. Overall, it was pretty good and I'd go back again for a lunch if we were headed between resorts again. It's a little complicated to get to, but that's Cabo for ya. read more

We've been staying right across the street for 2 weeks. Crossing the highway on feet was kind of intimidating but we wanted to try something new tonight. I'm glad we braved crossing the street. It wasn't bad at all at night. We ordered the chicken strips and the fettuccine Bolognese. We both shared. The chicken strips were lightly breaded and the breading reminded me of a mozzarella stick. Cooked perfectly so they weren't dry. They don't have ranch but the do have a delicious Parmesan dip. I didn't care for the BBQ sauce they had. The fettuccine bolognese was also good. I had a craving for pasta and it hit the spot. The bread that came with it was pretty damn good! For dessert we had the cheesecake. Which wasn't really cheesecake. The server told us it was different. It came in a bowl. My only complaint was I wish it were colder. We might go here for lunch tomorrow. read more

Our first visit to Cabo was Spectacular and this joint is now a new Fave! Our server Alonda was fantastic (considering we were there from 3-9pm) Our 1st round of yummy bites were- District Poutine, Buffalo & Hot honey wings followed by key lime pie...All of which were delicious! 2nd round we enjoyed the Philly, Caesar w/shrimp & Ramen. Again! Not a single complaint, everything was fresh and we were able to customize some items (many thanks to the chefs, stellar job!) Meanwhile, Stolis, pinot noir, fireball & Amber ale did the trick to quench our thirst as hubby enjoyed FB and I got some remote work done. First time visiting Cabo and our neighbor recommended we come here for food/drinks. Wish we hadn't listened! This was literally the first place we ate after we landed. We ended up getting food poisoning which caused us to miss our friend's wedding :( We believe the culprit was bad lettuce in the burgers we ordered because my other friend had the tacos and was fine. 2 hours after having the burgers I started to feel sick, and by the middle of the night I was experiencing vomiting and diarrhea, as well as muscle soreness and a fever. We were unable to attend our friend's wedding (the reason we came to Cabo), and ended up having to stay inside our Airbnb for the majority of the trip. Just awful. If you do come here, avoid anything raw. Only order food that is cooked. Do not eat any raw vegetables (lettuce, spinach, cilantro, etc). I also noticed they were serving sushi on the menu, probably best to avoid that too. The drinks here seemed fine, but again be careful if you get a cocktail as they might try putting some type of herb in the drink and that could also wreck you. We called the restaurant the next day and told them to please stop serving lettuce. We are young enough where we will ultimately end up being fine, but I worry about older folks who might end up in the hospital. read more
